They cost $229.99 and you have to call or email us to get them. I only have 35 in stock, if they sell well ill stock more. Sometime, if you call us and ask for just about anything and we can sometimes make it happen!!! It comes in 6 different color combos, I'll try together pics up soon. (Red/black, blue/whit, purple/white, kiwi/white, dark green/white, black/white)

What's the difference in size and function as compared to the first Pinnacle Wt?

So I just got my pinnacle today. charged it immediately and later used it for 2 bullets. charged it againand later used it for 4 more and it worked fine. kinda low battery and smaller hits then id like. you could use this anywhere and it would be hard to know.

earlier i turned it on in my pocket and let it charge, got into a situation where i couldn't use it and forgot to turn it off. later checked the load not sure what to expect. looked kinda used, tasted bad.

^^^Nice kush try that on your solo too.

OK heres the damage. I was reloading the bullet and when i pulled the top off the unit slid out of the shell.and the face plate/switch came off and broke the little clear piece thats pictured.
That piece goes on top of the light under the switch plate.

and the battery for all you power gurus

I will say that ive used this for a week and theres no sign of any herbs inside the unit itself.
Very sleek design.

Yuup, that there is some nerd porn.

I still am finding it hard to come to grips with the fact you can't remove the battery in this unit. Especially when it is just a standard 18650 as proven in this picture. I just don't see why that is necessitated except to guarantee you need to send it back to get fixed. Especially when I could add 50% extra battery to the thing with the right cell.

Either way, it seems like the only thing that got broken was a light pipe. I would recommend adding a bit of clear tape over top of it to make sure foreign material does not enter the unit through the hole, but other than that it should be fine. I'd also probably recommend taping the top of the unit to make sure this does not happen again.

CentiZen, why can't it be replaced if we can see it? Is it soldered or something? I am sure you will be able to do it. It would be nice to get a bit more power in there.

Looks can be deceiving. It is not a standard 18650 cell. You can try to replace it if you wish, but be warned your Pinnacle may not work properly.

Well you're the Engineer, but I guess we will just have to agree to disagree here because it says right on the side of the cell that it is a ICR18650 - which means it is either a LiCo cell or the batteries are intentionally mislabeled to throw people like me off.

Or are you considering the protection circuit to be a non-standard addition to the cell?

EDIT: I just wanted to add that I really appreciate your presence here and in no way am I trying to be snarky or rude to you. I'm just trying to understand the situation here.

Well I mean I'm sure a techie could replace it... but that really isn't the point. YOU should be able to replace it in a perfect world!

Since you asked nice ;)

You are right, it is an 18650 Li-Ion cell, and is not mislabeled.

However, during R&D we found a problem with the standard 18650 cells. The discharge rating was not sufficient to power the Pinnacle reliably. This goes into some really technical aspects of how batteries work, but to simplify we had issues with the battery voltage dipping below "critical" voltage and resetting the electronics. That's bad.

We had to tweak the battery chemistry to allow higher discharge rates. This results in the rating being lower, but the system being stable.

A point of interest; for those that care: Just because a battery is rated at 2600 mAh vs 2200 mAh does not mean it has higher capacity. ( I know, seems backwards right?) This is because the rating is usually at a slow discharge rate, say 300mA. Heaters, take a TON of energy, so the pull way more than the rated discharge. Depending on battery build and chemistry this causes problems. We actually get better run times off a 2200 mAh battery than a 2600 mAh battery.

So I was using my Pinnacle with a friend towards the end of a bullet, and noticed that he was still getting a lot of visible vapor while I was getting barely any. This was on high with the WT. We later realized that he had been covering up a couple of the intake holes at the top, which I think restricted airflow and caused the herb to vaporize a bit more. I haven't done enough testing with this to know if it is true or not, but I think it makes sense. I read about people doing this in the XP thread as well.

I have read 3-4 pages of people commenting on this vape i am looking to buy my first ever vape some questions i have about this one are;
1) Smell after smoking?
2) Is it just a USB charger and can it be in use while charging unlike the original VB (my cousin has one and i love it)?
3) How well do the flavored tips work?

  1. Not bad at all imo. This vape is pretty good smell wise.
  2. No and no.
  3. They don't, they melt, do not use.

1) No more than any other vape. The unit itself doesn't smell much. The only time I smell herb is when a freshly packed bullet has heated up to high, but only when I'm within a couple feet of the vape.
2) It's not. It charges uses an AC adapter that's included with the unit, and it plugs directly into the vape and an outlet. It cannot be used while charging; the Pinnacle Pro (if it is released) is planned to have this capability.
3) According to a few members, they melt with the Pinnacle. So not very well.

EDIT: t-dub, your response came up right after I submitted this! oh well.

Have you done any further testing? Would be awesome if that actually worked

Has anyone flown with the PN yet? If so did you put it in your carry on or checked? TIA

astarnes, this vape has the least smell out of all my portable vapes even the solo.

I have decided to wait on the pro, based solely on the ability to use while charging. i would love to know a tentative launch date and asking price with the WT

I did try it again, and I think it helped get a little more vapor out of my abv. The appearance of the abv is a bit darker brown than my bullets where I did not cover a couple of holes. So yes I think it does work to get a couple more hits out of your bullet. Try it for yourself and let me know what you think.

TRVB posted this on April 13th:
Even if I approve this version, which is 50/50 at this point, it will still be 8-10 weeks probably. We are a ways away still, I am gearing up though

I was experimenting with airflow and may have received a marginal increase in performance but it wasn't worth the effort. In the end, air was leaking in through the power plug area which limited what I was able to accomplish.
Does anyone else notice the clicking or is that just mine
Mine does this, it seems to be thermal expansion.

When/how do your Pinnacles click? I haven't experienced it, I'm just curious.

Mine's a clicker too. Sounds like thermal expansion and contraction to me also. Only happens during heating and cooling.

Maybe Engineering can throw his 2 cents in as I assume its safe. Though I am not a ceramic expert by any means. (As I assume its the ceramic that's "clicking")
