Not really a major problem, more of an annoyance. When you shut the minivape down and start it back up, it starts out at your last selected temperature. However, when it goes into standby, when it wakes back up it is at the lowest temp.
My other small issue is the screen was popping out, then the user would get materiel in the mouth. It seems to be coated with a bit more oil now and is staying in place now.

From any of my other vaporizers. The draw is so easy and the vapor is very smooth so I end up taking huge hits without realizing it. This makes a bit tricky to titrate the dose.

When in standby mode my unit flashes blue for 10 min., then it shuts off. As I said earlier I have (maybe) the last firmware available 3.2beta iirc.
Instead I discovered a little bug when trying to achieve red temp from a cold unit. It flashes red forever, then starts to flash blue going into idle/standby. Maybe because it takes time to reach red temp and that time is < or equal to the time it takes to go into standby mode.
Anyway I never start from red and I doesn't affect too much my pattern of use, I tend to vape on green from start all the time.

That is normal operation. I think Nbajunkie may have just misunderstood. I know I had a lot to learn about the MiniVap when I first got it since mine(secondhand unit) didn't come with instructions.

Theres still alot to be learned. Mv needs a section in vaporpedia.. Even my new unit only came with a quick start guide that didnt get past the basic setup. Ive only been going off the video Ive seen by s4l which is the only real hands on instructional video out there, and what Ive read here..

My hand is like that to cover some holes in the "funnel". I left a lot of vapor in there too.
I am not seeing much vapor? Did I miss something? For $500+ bucks for a portable I'd expect more visually... Still new to this thread, that video is the first thing I've seen/read. I'll do some more investigating before I form an opinion.

@TheHerbalReview - I don't get too much clouds either, but I only ran the unit on the coolest temps(Blue & Purple Light). If you look up, I got some vids/pics of minivap in action. The thick Heavy hitting clouds are absent (possibly because I use the lowest temps), but the flavor and the blue hue of darkness
is 100% there! Additionally, the transition from fresh Herb to vaped herb is so smooth with this vape; I had to open the cap to see if it's done yet. The vape is also sooo even.

You cant really form an opinion unless you try it hands on.. People are raving about the pinnacle but that's not a big cloud producer either...
I'm finding I love the green setting but I think most water users like to use the red setting.It makes a difference.I find that I don't always produce huge clouds but that's subjective.Vapor can be a tricky thing..But Im always high as balls off this thing and the way it extracts all the goodies off my mj.Its like that first high of the day, all day... I'm a believer!

This was about the sixth shooting of video and the load was almost cashed(reason for red setting). I'll put up a better one later today.
Umm...MV shipped my unit on Tuesday from Spain. It's out for delivery this morning in Seattle via DHL.

The MV has me, well, confused at the moment. I just wrote an essay on it and deleted the whole thing, replaced it with this:
First impressions...it knocked me on my ass and I'm trying to wrap my head around how it did that. I know that doesn't make sense.....so I'll just say, I LOVE IT so far.
Here's my question and why I'm having a hard time. Does vapor density directly relate to the amount of medical chemicals contained therein? Meaning, can one get more THC and CBD's from thinner vapor than thicker of the same starting product, but from different vaporizers using the same number of hits at the same size? Now, I know vapor is based on ambient temp/humidity and that it's really about the absorption, but.....See, I can't do this right now...Ha!
Very cool vape and so far it's definitely lived up to my high expectations. I just need to spend some more time with it.
On the operations side of things, getting the temp to stay solid at red is taking forever. NBA, have you experienced solid red temps yet? Was it you having issues with that earlier?

Great observations so far Hoops..I couldnt have worded it better myself. I too find myself writing out long drawn out essays just to delete them..lol I havent had any real issues with the mv.I dont really use the red setting because I find it irritates my throat slightly.But When I do go to red,the warm up time seems to last forever.So that sounds normal.. Glad to hear you like your mv...Im taking mines to my buddies tommorow to show it off and make some infused butter.
Edit: Yes, you said it much better. I wouldn't call the hits 'wispy' on green, but compared to the Cloud they aren't 'thick'.
I was hitting the vaporbrothers all morning waiting for the the MV and didn't feel much at all. I was pulling huge clouds through the vaporbrothers too. MV arrived in the afternoon and one bowl put me on the floor, but with thinner vapor and lighter ABV. I don't get it and am probably over thinking it.
I can't post in this state, too medicated to keep a thought.
