The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Used mine for a week pretty much 12 hours a day :) at different temps and with different gauze mod configurations and no plastic burnt! Just delicious vape clouds for my lungs.
Don't fret just get on it man.

Kommyknocker,
What is the best temperature on the extreme q vape to get a thick white smoke on an elbow pack?
I am between 200 and 220 celcius. Is there a sweet spot with the temperature because I read somewhere that 392 was supposedly I deal but 220 is definitely in the 400 fahrenheit range.

Also, when you are elbow packing it for a bag what fan temp is best

So I just tried Seek's inverse hitting method with both elbows connected to the mini whip then connected to my bong, and WOW! Fastest, milkiest hits Ive ever gotten! First hit tasted amazing (probably from the weed being so much closer to myself too), second hit came so fast I couldnt clear my bong, or hold in the hit!:ko:
Thank you Seek for posting these mods, I'll be sure to try more of them because this one is amazing:rockon:

It bothered me enough to switch. I bought a vaporizer to be healthier not breathe in melted mica/ceramic/plastic. There is also the issue of air passing over capacitors and circuit boards.

I wish a FC user could actually test the material in question. Until then I'm with peterchen on this one, all the research I've done on a Mica/Ceramic combination have been rated for far higher temperatures than what the EQ should be operating at and from the pics I've seen, the material is white not black. I couldn't imagine such two hard materials just melting and warping like a plastic would.

Screen mod + inverse hitting + 185-200°C -> I can get 90% of what EQ can give me of a 0-0.25 bowl in 2 hits. Stir every hit.

First hit is ultra milky and tasty everytime. I hold it to absorb, decided to capture that cloud today, made good lightning, milked on 195, exhaled hige cloud and then noticed the camera hadn't started capturing. Sigh, wasted cloud.

Second hit slowly dimishes, but is still powerful. Then I can get only few wispy hits to make all the green left brown.

For thick smoke 240-260, but if I were you I would use the Q for vaporizing. If you want thick vapor, go in 200-220 range. For smooth blue vapor go 170-200. Also EQs can vary in their temperatures, so it could be a bit off for your unit. Fan speed is your preference, all will make vapor, slower maybe a bit denser, but imo F1 and F2 are both really slow. Sweet spot is usually that temp that makes satisfiyng clouds but still tastes great and smooth. I find sweet spot on my EQ to be somewhere 190-200.

Oh you do elbow pack - so add another 10 degrees. Elbow packs are far from the heater.

You can't get smoke from an E, AFAIK, so I guess it's just your terminology that needs updating. Vapor, not smoke. Vaping, not smoking.

Also, when you are elbow packing it for a bag what fan temp is best
Packing the elbow screen is a method for getting richer whip hits. It serves little to no purpose when filling bags. Since packing the elbow screen makes cleaning it much harder, I would never use it for filling bags.

lol ^^^^^ pack a bunch in the bowl, set to 260 and fan speed 3.... and watch the SMOKE! lol That's the only way i've ever combusted in the EQ though, so my own fault.

Alright so maybe I'm doing something wrong. I put a nice sized nug in and put the bag on and put Fan 1 on at 150C and filled the bag finished it and didn't feel anything so I filled another bag on F1 at 175C and after that bag still nothing and then used the whip and I had a little buzz am I doing something wrong? lol I'm using some Sour D that has my whole house smelling so I know its not the trees I'm using

Those are very low temperatures. Try kicking it up to 190+ and you'll get the vapor that you desire.

First let me point out that using white text makes it invisible to those of us who have switched to a different (white background) theme.

I am a fan of low temperature vapourizing but the lowest I'll go is 160°C and that is using the whip, so I'm not surprised that your first attempt didn't work out. The second try should have delivered some decent but wispy vapour in the bag. If it's not working out, just step the temperature up 10 and try again. You just have to find the temperature that works for you. I don't use bags but I think they need a few degrees higher than the whip to get similar results. I'd also use fan speed 3, not 1.

How does the ABV look? If it's not getting brown, your temperature isn't set high enough. You might also want to try the elbow pack method, described in the Vaporpedia article How to Use the Extreme Vaporizer. It's about an earlier version but the information there still applies, and there are a few other tips there as well.

I have a quick question hope I'm not derailing anybody if you want to get straight to the question just read the last sentence. I messaged one of the reps in more detail and its just taking too long to get an answer since I don't have a working vap right now. I have 2 extremes and both are not working I cracked one open and did a heater cover replacement along with cleaning and it helped but doesn't work good still. I want to try it on the other one and open it but the other one is covered under warranty. Will opening the extreme, considering I don't break anything, void the warranty?

Damn it looks like I'm gonna crush that elbow piece if I try and remove it from the tube.
If you mean the stock silicone tubing, then yeah, don't even try to remove it. Just cut it off with a razor.

I usually heat it up to about 420F with the elbow on the cyclone and put the fan on 3 for about 10 minutes. Be careful, the elbow will be hot, but the tubing will be more pliable and will come off the elbow.

Ok this thing is fucking legit. I packed a small cyclone bowl, started at 200 C and went up to 230, took about five hits barely getting any vapor some l'm like "wtf am I doing it right?" Ten mins later now and I'm feeling mad good :) It keeps kicking in and it's a really good high, I feel it all it my head.

Shit, I might be a vaping convert after one try. :D

DougWilson,
How big is the EQ box? Is it something that can be reasonably carried/concealed on public transport, or is car transport better?

Has anyone tried modding their EQ bags with a Camelbak or similar bladder bite valve? I like using bags for parties and for when I'm moving around my house, but I know I and others will forget to hold a finger over the mouthpiece. A two pack Camelbak bite valve runs about $6.

For best results, preheat the EQ to your desired temp with the cyclone bowl and elbow in place, but empty for about 10-15 minutes. Put your herb in and you will definitely see vapor. Have fun!

About to give it another go and start at a higher temp this time.

I never use my vap under 200 (maybe the first time to try it but thats it), and my usual temperature is 220. But sometime the weed is too harse so I have to start it at 200. I never start using it until the elbow is hot on touch (usually that's arround 15 min)

I vape at 356f and love it. Just my two cents then I move up to 383 before I am done. I get great gentle clouds.
