If you don't know what a TV is then I don't think you have a right to comment here until you do some research

Oh, please can we keep this from discussions of who has rights to comment here? I don't think that will go any useful place. There will be other opinions I'm sure.

Too much glass and lots of stones.......

Thanks.

I thought you went to bed.

Was that before or after the part about not responding to folks that don't share his opinions?

One way or the other, bed sounds like a good plan from here. Maybe tomorrow this will all be yesterday?

I just spent $288 total with shipping from the TV website. I got the T1 Kit, Revolution Adapter Kit, & the Kit to make it an Evolution.. They are having a memorial day sale all is 25% off, so total for all 3 with shipping $288. Freking good deal I hope that it is worth it

I had to wake up just to respond to you OF:rant:. Did I say I didn't want to respond to posts of people who don't share my opinion or did I say that I didn't want to deal with people trying to discredit my opinion. But then again you definitely have a reputation of trying to discredit anyone who has an opinion that the TV isn't the greatest vape or company in the world. It's like you work for the company or something.

And I'm not the only one who is sick of you trying to discredit anyone who has a negative opinion of the Thermovape.

Congratulations! That's a lot of top notch gear, IMO, your chances of satisfaction are high indeed.

If I were you, I'd be thinking about having some tasty bud and nice concentrates standing by....I predict a serious need for them soon.

Good luck, and stick with them until you sort it out, the rewards are great.

Oh, yeah, welcome to the fun...lots of good folks around here you know.

Ya I cannot wait. I have been using a SSV ( Love It ) for over a year, Had A cheap Box Vape for a month or 2 before that ( Hated It) , I love to vape, Now to have a portable which can do oils and concentrates I cannot wait. I bought a SSV after reading the reviews on this site, and this will hopefully be the cherry on the cake. These units seem so durable and simple to use, I keep checking the tracking to see where it is, I only live a few hours away so I used the cheap shipping. A buddy of mine has been making this earwax which tastes so piney and good,I hope to get some for the REV interface, I can only imagine that it will taste even better

I know the feeling, but I too can't put it into words. It's a personal judgment thing I guess. More over, I notice this feeling can shift around some so that while I might like A more than B now, next C might be better somehow. Then C might have to move over for good old B again.

This afternoon I ran a pinch through my Vapman, which I think has a charm all it's own. I enjoyed it a lot, I'm no doubt going to want to do it again real soon, so I didn't bother putting it away. It's waiting in it's little egg.....

The goal, I think, is to enjoy the experience, no matter how that happens? By all means enjoy your T1.....until something better comes along.

Glad to hear you're happy.
I'm deep in learning/testing mode with my Evo, but your comment reminded me that it's going to be interesting going back to the T1 to see if anything I learned with the Evo helps. My number one complaint with the T1 is the holes in the cap clog every two hits (at least for me, with the kinds of weed I have). Because the T1 core draws 50% more power than the Evo, you really have to pay attention to battery use, and taking off the cap every other hit to clean it out, means lots of reheating going on. I was about to dive into titanium screens to fit on top of the load or inside the cap (pre holes, post load) when the Evo was announced, and I got distracted.

Interesting. Mine doesn't give me that much trouble on any of the herb I've fed it (some are better than others of course, and backing off on the grind helps). I found a find SS screen on top of the load (I got the size that just fits in the top of the bowl, 5/8 I think, but doesn't get caught under the cap against the lip). I've never seen nor heard of Titanium screens, what's the logic there?

However, something in your post got me to thinking....why not put the 'flying saucer' into the lid of the T1? It seems to do a bang up job in Evolution at keeping the debris under control. It should be as simple as boring out the center hole in the current cap and pressing one in to test you'd think?

Oh, Tim.....got your ears on? I need a crazy reading on this if you would?

Should have known you'd have one of those too. I loved their how to video. I appreciate English is not their first language, but still...

I know what you mean. I love the 'wapor' part myself. I passed it up as kind of silly years back, but then one night I got to reading the forum on it, some guys were having a lot of fun with theirs. So I started looking for pictures and details. The more I found out, the neater it sounded. Like many of the other vapes I like, it's elegant in the details. I love the pear wood body, gold plated pan, mica heat shield, tiny little screws and all. It really has that 'steam punk' thing going for it too, doesn't it? And of course, you get to play with fire.

Not even a little bit convenient. And slow. And fun. You know you can order a non finished version minus the heat shield from the factory for like $80, right? The Swiss Franc and US Dollar are basically on par right now:

Great Scott!
Oh nope, the Evo is vastly superior to the T1. A few of us early adopters are just pissed because we feel we were used as beta testers for a flawed product (t1) and now that the new, better, cheaper product is out we are either forced to spend another $100+ or be left in the dust.

I feel like I got the thermovape I paid for with my T1. I want the evo now too. It's going to cost me $56 shipped to buy the evolution cart to swap on to my T1. Thats $56 shipped with the 25% off code.

Wow miss a day and this thread blows up!!! Had to do a lot of reading this morning to catch up. I cannot figure out why the new setup some of you are using works better. I haven't tried it yet but it doesn't make any sense to me. I will have to take a look at it this weekend when I have more time.

"Due to the durable nature of Titanium, these screens can endure higher temperatures than steel not fuming or adding any metallic taste to tobacco when filtering. Another advantage titanium screens have over steel is they can be flexed or bowed repeatedly without fracturing the wires making these screens easier to clean."

I emailed them a week ago or so about this very subject. I was told that it would be passed along. I hope we can make it happen!

So while contemplating how hot this makes mods I started to wonder if a wood mod might help the TV Evo to run a little more efficiently because the battery holder (mod body) wouldn't leech so much of the heat away from the heater core.

I did a little Google research and came up with this site ...
http://ecigworkshop.com/

Looks like they carry a pretty decent line of simple no frills wooden 510 ecig mods. Might have to pick one of these up and do a little experimenting.

I really want one of these, but just can't justify the $250 price tag. The Cocobolo Dutch is gorgeous!

Look I bought an ipad 2 in december and the ipad 3 was scheduled to come out a couple of months later. I was ok with that because I knew the Ipad 2 would suit all of my needs. The T1 does not suit all of my needs so that is why it is just an extra kick in the gut to know there is a newer, cheaper version out that would suit my needs.

The T1 is still our #1 player in the Botanical vaporizer game, It is vastly different than the Evolution and that’s how we designed it. The T1 has its followers as well as the Evolution has followers, and its typically for very different reasons.

The Evolution came out because we listened to our customers, mostly listened to our customers here on FC (Your specific input was discussed in our design phase and was a major part in how it was designed), It was designed based on what we thought would help those who felt the T1 wasn't for them.

I understand you don't like the T1, but you do like the EVO, That is a step in the right direction! As long as we can keep improving our devices and giving more options for people (some like the T1 big hits, some like the EVO efficiency) we surely will find an appropriate device for almost everyone.

Aside from the qualities about the T1 you don’t like, what do you like about the EVO?

Cheers,

Tim

Hey Jam, maybe I'll give these guys a call and ask for a measurement.

I wrote them, here's their answer:

"You get two sizes in the 2 pack. However I would put what you want in the two pack, just put your request in the comments section on checkout.
The smallest fits any bowl, the largest is for a larger bowl. I'd say the smallest is a couple millimeters in diameter & the largest about a centimeter.
Hope that helps,
Jay

That being said, modifications to Evo are complete! Extended mouthpiece with UFO into Evo core, and I am using a modified stock delrin heat shield around it. It simply slips over the core and is held on by the O-ring, the difference now it is just a heat shield as it doesn't recieve the mouthpiece anymore. Best of both worlds? I think so. Looks like a normal Evo, just a smidge shorter :)

I'm curious how this is working for you. I considered modifying the heat shield but I was afraid of doing something permanent in case I ever wanted to go back to the original setup. I like the leather stripping. It works like a charm, but the delrin shield would probably look better.

How is this working for you?
