Yup.

Tried different screens and it still happens. Only way I found to solve it is get the tip real gummed up with reclaim and it stays put down in the bottom. I like using small loads in there, but having the screen in the higher up grooves makes it drop out when dumping the load (by blowing it out) so now I just put a small load in the big chamber and it still does the job!

BUT... My tip has got some bad machine work on it, one of the fins at the top has a notch taken out in line with the diagonal grooves on the tip, looks like an overrun from machining. Looking into the tip, the grooves for the screen don't look straight either and the tip falls out of the vong body when pulling the cap off sometimes, it's real loose.

AND... DV are replacing so kudos to those guys. I was happy to live with the quirks though as I kinda see it as a one off limited edition tip! :brow:

ALSO... The DynaCoil ROCKS!!! :rockon:Got it in my 18M for hash and it is the gift that keep on giving. Put an inch of whip tube on the M mouthpiece, shove it in a dry bong and away we go. :sherlock:

Similar problem but mine stays in place in the upper grooves; however on the largest bowl size, the screen moves/tilts, does not stay in place. Spoke to Josh and even emailed George himself about it to see what I could do, if it's faulty, or if it's by design.

Got the equivalent of an ignore basically at the end of it all (literally, George asked me how the tip was doing, I told him still the same, and he never got back to me, several weeks ago. They ignored me in a similar matter 2 other times when tried contacting them with questions)

Very unproductive customer support experience from DV. Great products, but complete lack of support from my personal experience by trying to contact them in regards to a couple different things (some details in my previous comments, some I didn't mention because it's the same scheme - I contact them, they ignore me, I try again again weeks later just to get a bare bones reply, I reply back, and then never hear back again. This is the cycle I've had with them and after George ignored my followup email I told myself I'm not bothering with these guys anymore). I hear good things about their support but experience proved it otherwise. I have a Dynastash XL and a NonaVong XLS and a few accessories from them. Not a way to treat a returning customer, from an American-based company none the less

Glad your tip is getting replaced. Guess I'll just have to live with mine tilting.

ps try using the condenser as a rolling pin to roll on the screen. This is what George suggested in one of their videos. Doesn't do the trick for my tip but you could try

i reconfigured my dynavaps (always fun) ... i paired my mrb custom stem with a spinning titanium mouthpiece that i heat anodized (i know it's not really anodizing but i don't know what else to call it)! i got pretty lucky with the color it blends perfectly into mrb's colors ...

everytime i use my dynavaps i am amazed at the power these little devices have!

After my first experience with similar customer service from them, I buy anything I want DynaVap from Puffitup. Awesome service and Randy will fix any problem toot sweet. I'm sure many many people get this type of service from DynaVap but they are afraid to post it here because the usual reply from the fanboys is a bashing.

Good luck

I bought the Vong from PuffitUp actually :) and within the first 2-3 weeks one of the O-rings nearly broke and they sent out O-rings free of charge! But with something like the screen/tip I decided to contact DV instead (thought the tip might be that way by design, too, so figured better check with DV first).

Definitely agree, PIU or another retailer, so that if you have issues, at least they will stand up for you on support!

At the risk of being called a fanboy (You know what? Actually, I’m good with it.), my experience with DynaVap’s customer service has always been pretty great.

Not that this is an excuse, but I know they are super busy at the moment between 420 and 2019 “tip gate”.

Sorry to hear some people are being let down.

You can never go wrong with awesome retailers like puffitup.

my lack of support from them was from before those I think. March 4th was when I contacted them first, and on April 10 was when George asked if I've fixed it (after I specifcally emailed him due to the customer support seemingly going to a black hole), to which I replied unfortunately no, and he never got back to me (a month now)! Why even ask, then, I wonder.

And as you've said, not an excuse. Don't sell products if you can't support them and respond to your buyers' inquiries, suggestions, and possible warranty issue. Or, at least, stop claiming you care about your customers in every single video you put out when this is what some customers experience when it comes to even trying to get an email reply from you about a simple issue!

After my initial emails were ignored I called and spoke to Josh, 2 weeks after my initial email, and told me "oh yeah I remember your email, can you send me photos?" ............ Really? Yup! Really!! Flat out tells me they got my email 2 weeks ago, saw it, and just trash it or something until I call to see why no one responds for so long. To be honest I read several accounts of people claiming no one at DV picks up the phone when they tried calling so I was even just happy to have the phone picked up and have a chance to talk about it

And guess what came of the photos I attached along with a lengthy explanation of what's going on email that I sent just 2 hours after talking to Josh on the phone about this? Yup! never to hear back from again

customer service? I didn't set out to see if I can get a replacement screen or tip on the house or anything like that, just asked about it to see if it's maybe normal, if not if there's anything I could do to fix it, just to be ignored this way. It's not cool,

I gave them many chances to act like a modern company (as I've said there were a couple other emails ignored by them, one asking about the Dynavap Beta test program, which Josh ignored, and during my call I asked him about that too, and he said he "didn't respond because the program is full." Would have been nicer to have told me that by replying to application email I wrote in the first place, IMO - a customer did take time to write in with the desire to help you improve your products, and another 1-2 emails gone ignored to different people in Dynavap about the O-rings that were left unanswered but PuffitUp took care of that quickly)

edit: wow, this is officially a rant now I guess

Enjoy your DV products all! Can't wait to see the grinder they come up with that George talked about in the previous video

I've spent a bit of money with DV and the best review I can give is they are better than D-Nail. If they have the item in stock they normally ship it out within 1-2 business days from my experience and just like D-Nail you have to double check everything because something is usually missing...

I didn't get any of the extra screens I ordered until my third order.. I should have said something to DV but after the frustration of my original purchase I just didn't bother.

Happy with the product however I won't lie I have enough o rings and screens that (and caps and tips) that if one goes missing I won't have to wait for DV.

Thank goodness

I had a Ti screen that started falling out. I had been torching to clean them but read on here that torching made them shrink. Dunno if that's true but I stopped torching and haven't had any more issues.
Torching them tends to degrade them qnd over time you actually loose screen. Maybe its not a tip issue and its time for a new screen I have had some issues with falling out sceeens but never with a brand new one. Im not saying there cant be a bad tip or 2. I could see how the grooves could be shallow as with my first screen i had this issue. Also try both types of screens I have had pretty positive experience with customer service got my replacement m tip today wayyyyy better.. Also got a free key strap thats pretty cool. I have had an issue before but also in mentioning my issue i had placed another order. I ended up with a free omni xl condenser rings wax and a few others. I feel like as a customer I am very well taken care of. Even a simple issue as on the 419 sale the first day I had placed an order thinking I was doing good but the green items weren't added till the 2nd day. I was mad. But this year they have re added them for a bit. So I got my chance to get what I missed.

Anyone know of the VapCap efficiency in approximate percent? Trying to figure out how much herb I need to get my target THC mg/session and want to try to take into account the vaporizer's efficiency to guestimate better.

Volcano is about 56% efficient, for example, if I'm reading this right: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1002/jps.20574

So... I did some digging myself one day, after puffing a capful of sativa too many... Found this post from George, back on page9 of this thread. Almost 4 years ago now!

I don't think there was ever any follow up... And understandably so, considering Dynvap's exponential growth/popularity, but it is something I'm quite curious about, as well.

While I think legality still makes tests like this a little bit difficult, it would be very handy info to have.

You can burn stuff in the VapCap, but I would suggest you don't. The resin will plug the screen and if you use the VapCap correctly, there won't be anything worth anything left anyway. So far everyone that has used it tells me when they smoke what's left after 4-5 cycles in the VapCap, it does nothing for them.
On a more interesting note, I am working with a lab in Colorado right now to do dome scientific studies to confirm efficiency and effectiveness. I hope to have those results before the cannabis cup.

Thanks,

George

Monk Debate

The 2019 M with XL condenser, Ti tip and mouthpiece is really nice. I feel like it’s getting me 95% of the way to the Omni in terms of feel and user experience. Of course I still have to control the airport manually but I can also spin more easily with the spinning mouthpiece than with the Omni mouthpiece, so it’s a trade off.

I would still love an Omni but can’t justify the expense. This gets me a premium Dynavap experience at a much more reasonable price.

Those stems are lovely. May i ask who commissions them? Thanks.
Our beloved after market artist, @phattpiggie makes these wonderful wood and acrylic stems. Peruse the link below to see his stunning creations.

PM him if you would like him to make you a stem, case or IH cover that you can call your own.
