Thats a real smart idea, the long slow draw someone mentioned above sounds perfect for the Extreme.

Haven't seen much about Tuff bowls; I got one and regret it (smelled a little weird the first time, the way it fits scares me at times, I can't seem to shake the notion that the material could melt) but haven't really travelled with my unit though. Either way, the material on the outside of the bowl catches all sorts of dust/hair/anything. I was wondering if anyone cleaned their Tuff bowl with iso? I'm about to do a group bath and wondering if I can throw that in.

I have been using my extreme v.3 for a few months now and I could not be happier. Theres no going back once you use something this great lol. But now I?m interested in getting at all that nice honey that seems to be collecting in the elbow piece and the whip line. should I just soak the whip and elbow in iso overnight and then evap the iso off leaving the tasty honey behind? I?m just worried that the whip might taste like iso afterwards. Has anyone have any ideas? Sorry if this has been covered before. I have looked exhaustively to no avail both here and over the net.

Thanks guys!

does it come out relatively easily? I dont wanna chip the glass or scratch up the inside of the tubing. I could see that being problematic lol.

There's a thread for ISO extraction of the 'honey' somewhere in the general lounge; I remember reading that at least a couple people used ISO on their tubing with bad results. The tubing may turn white and brittle for a while and taste like alcohol I think, I haven't ISO'd my tubing for this fear of leeching.

If anyone has a good tip for non-ISO extraction for the tubing I'd be all ears. The bbq skewer sounds smart; I've envisioned the perfect tool but can't imagine it would have any other use...a long, skinny metal rod with a circular piece of rubber (that would fit inside the inner diameter of the tube) attached on the end, in my head the rubber would just fit and 'scrape' the inner wall of the tube, accumulating all that goodness.

I was thinkin about somehting like that too...and I dont think a skewer would be long enough to get in there. Im afraid to take the tube off of the glass piece beacuse it looks like it would be hell to get it back on lol. there has to be a good way to do it seeing as so many people have an extreme. Someone has to have figured it out lol

The tube will come off the glass piece if you heat it up...I've done this a couple times when I was first setting up. My plan for the honey extraction was to place the entire mini-whip in ISO, I'll cut the tube off and throw away and replace.

For taking the tube off I've thrown the joint (tube/mouthpiece or tube/elbow) in boiling water for a few seconds and then was able to slide it off. I don't wanna do this for the honey extraction though because I figured boiling water would get some of the honey off in the first place.

hereatlast and 11010110:

These ideas have been posted before:

Tie a string around a screw which snuggly fits into the tube. Run the string down the tube and slowly pull the screw through.

Freeze the tubing first and then scrape out the resin.

Combining the two methods may also work well.

Also, be careful when removing the stock tubing from the elbows as it tends to stick. You ran run under hot water to facilitate, or I've used a jewellers slot screwdriver to carefully pry around the inner edges of the tubing to break the seal.

man alive. just hold the glass - tube connection in the water instead of dropping it all in and bobs your uncle

thanks for all of the help guys I realy appreciate it. I think Ill try the water method and the screw method I think. It sounds promising. would I just wanna run it under hot water again to get it back on there?

probably, or you could cut a small slit in the tube (going down the length of it, not across) where it connects which will make it easier to work it back on. it wont effect the seal at all

there is a tubing thread somewhere around these parts that has the diameters for all vapes. i got my silicon tubing from usplastics and will never use any other type of tubing again. it so much more flexible and the taste is better too.

Hows this for a rigged up cooling system... haha. Not mine. My friends set up.

Does that thing drag like crazy? Looks a lot neater all rigged up like that. So the vapor moves down that glass coil, cooling, then what? I can't tell if it then goes into that beaker or that container (paint balls?) that seems to be an H20 filter...

I just got my H20 adaptor from Vapor Warehouse (thanks Devo); now the real waiting game begins, the bong it connects to...

My Extreme work fine for a fer days, and then started beeping. A 5 appeared on the LED. No button would shut it off, only unplugging.

Fan seemed to fill slow even on 3. (I would assumea large breath wou take 4-6 seconds. My baloon takes about 2 minuts to fill on'3'.

New to this forum, so apologies for any improprieties.

it goes down through the coil into the beaker which acts like a water filter/bong set up. This is the only site of water filtration in the whole set up, then on into the whip you see at the bottom.
It is actually quite surprisingly easy to draw on. Almost no effort when compared to using the whip alone. I find that you have to draw harder without this apparatus. I guess it is working like a giant third lung.

The bucket full of Ice water is actually where the water pump is. It pushes the cold water into the condenser, keeping it nice and cool. None of that water touches the vapor, just used to drop the temp of the condenser. Even makes the harshest vapor feel as if it were from a much lower temp. No more harshness. Which I like, makes it far easier to get those high temp cannabinoids without none of the cough I would normally encounter

Last night I decided to cobble together a home made valve system for the bags on the extreme. I 'borrowed' an inline stopcock and connected it with tygon tubing to the mini whip and the balloon bag and filled it up. Took a long time, and the taste was 'thinnish' and disappointing. Here is a link to a flickr photo pf the stopcock that I used.

The problem was the internal diameter of the valve; somethign like 1/16 of an inch and I don't think the airflow was all that great into the bag (too restricted). I'm going to try to borrow some more parts next week and see if I cna come up with something more satisfactory. If it works I'll document everythign thoroughly.

Wow devo, your friends condenser apparatus is hardcore to say the least. u dont find it makes alot of the vapour condense in the tubing? that would be tasty. i love to see all these crazy rigs.

Jasel, seems like u may have a defective unit...maybe contact steve at arizer and see what he says.

What is the best way to clean the screens at the end of the whip? Mine are getting mucked up...

take it out and throw it in some iso alcohol and kosher salt as an abrasive. should make it good as new.
