Discontinued The Grasshopper

Not sure if everyone saying that "having to pay for return parts should be on Hopper's bill" is a newb to vaping or what but no company that I can think of offers this. Otherwise they'd become a cleaning service for us lazy folk.

when you file an rma with Epic Vape for an enano they send you a postage sticker to print out. And it should 100 percent be on every company to pay for return shipping. The reason is because it is totally tax deductible as a business expense for them.

Tax deductible doesn't mean free. It really depends on the shop, the industry and the nature of the fault. Third party retailers are better suited to covering the customer, manufacturers are then dealt with via a third party and follow a particular procedure. A retailer has more leverage than a consumer simply due to revenue streams. In the few cases I've had to return faulty items (graphics cards are my most expensive returned items, and a few other small products over the years, nothing too major) I've had to pay postage. Depending on the outcome, this can be credited back, but it's usually in the form of return postage from the provider (and a GPU costs quite a bit more to post than a tiny broken pen).
A huge company like Apple will send you out a brand new product and a return satchel if you put a full retail deposit down on the replacement device and accept they will deduct the difference from your deposit if there are any defects on your product recalled device (my iPhone 5 was on product recall due to two faults - a dodgy button and a dodgy battery. Got the button fixed when I was in Beijing, and couldn't get compensated due to the absence of authorised repairers in that city, then a year later the battery degraded to the point of being useless and the device serial was listed as being on product recall. Apple wanted me to drive across state, at my expense, be phoneless for a month between postage with me funding one side of the journey and without any compensation for buying a faulty device from them, or putting down a deposit of $1049, the full price of my 3 year old phone at release, which they would deduct from if my returned device wasn't in perfect condition (entrapment).
I opted out of that useless bullshit and replaced the battery myself for ten dollars.

HLs warranty department has been really good overall, their worst experiences are nothing to complain about from what I've seen.

I love Epic vape and the Enano, dont care about previous bitch about the company, I run a company that grows and sells products and ran restaurants in the past, the worst part about the company are often the customers but that is just because the few bad ones overshadow all.

but more useless stuff from me

this thing came up randomly on youtube when I was as high as I possible could get without passing out and now it has been idolized in my life so I give you "the big big clown gif" as the first time I saw it I nearly died from laughing so hard ... yes I know I am a >>>

How much are you paying to return a broken body anyway? I send it from Germany and pay 3.7€ it's so cheap that I don't even care. In the states ain't it possible to send it as regular mail? Should be really cheap as well...

Because of my battery order I got a mail "thank you for preordering a Grasshopper" figuered I have to contact the support to get it earlier shipped. edit: got shipping conformation before I could write a email. nice.

Still wondering if the battery cut is really at 60% (hard to believe that I can vape that much with convection and 300mah tbh). When my hopper was really cold (I'm stupid to start it before warming it in my hands) it blinked red noticeable earlier and later when I was at home I could take more than one hit with the same battery. But that is expected behaviour since the battery gives lower voltage at low temp. I think it cuts off earlier with worn out batteries because they don't hold the voltage when they are under heavy drain. What speaks for it is that my oldest battery can go back to blue light after red blinking lights if you wait some secs but with my newer ones this doesn't happen.

However, as it has been stated in this thread there are no more Grasshoppers on eBay.

I mentioned this because I thought it was pretty significant, so i'm happy you picked up on that post. Wha'happened? Not a single new or used GH, not one! NEVER have seen this before since they started popping up on there, so what gives? They were mostly retailers purchasing blemished units? No used hoppers either..... hmmmmm....

haha
I just spent 15 mins doing an alcohol cleanse of my glass rigs before enjoying some insane flower vapour production through them from either hopper. Fully white walled like in biohackers vid at T4 with some Red Beard hydro. Two chambers later and I am at a good level.
Watching that video I sped it up to 2x. I think it added to the quality.
It reminded me of a time from a few years back when I had just finished a mix (oz for bowl of weed and baccy) with a mate and turned the TV on to see this
It seemed like the weirdest shit to be on TV at the time. Nowadays it seems like TV only plays trash ahah
Sorry for the clown spammage :p

@biohacker don't worry they're back, the feeder is back too.
I wonder if the battery shortage affected the sales stock

That is by far one of the must understated facts. It's unbelievable but.. it's real

T4 has 30 seconds of this density from a 37s hit with some quality dank
Lighting is from behind, to the eye or with the flash it's solid white. Well at least I assume so, t4 blue hopper round two...

T4 yet again. Huge clouds
T4 is 190°C, 32°C less than I set my EQ when I attempt to achieve that^

I'm assuming this is for domestic customers only. Again, Epic Vape is not a NEW company like Hopper. Plus with sooo much confusion on the net as to whether or not Hoppers are properly functioning, as seen in this thread "Ahh blue lights are flickering!! ..Should I return?!!". People would be just be requesting unwarranted returns (which is already happening, gets sent in for inspection and Hopper replies with "your part is working fine", part returned as is to customer). Like I said earlier, new companies/Hopper would just become cleaning services and get buried quick by covering shipping costs.

Once again, give Hopper a minute and I'm sure they'll accommodate all these little issues. They're still in PRE-SALE phase, they haven't even fully launched.. FEB 1ST.

I could also argue that Hopper's turn over time for parts warrantied is the fastest in the game. It's great that you can send in your ENano and Epic(nothing against Epic AT ALL, only using as example) covers the cost but how long does it take to get your fixed unit back? Hopper sends out a new part if needed next day, at least that was the case for my buddy(needed new body). A couple bucks to send back the faulty body and voila, a total of 4 days. Phenomenal service in my mind.

@MoltenTiger Hell yeah clown fever on the thread now ! :D

talking about warranty stuff, I think my shipping will cost 8-9 dollar to the states judging by rates on the postal service homapage, might even ship it in express AND if I was not asked to send batteries and charger I could do express shipping for 4-5 dollar to USA

but lets see later today because I am mailing it in 2-3 hours, not been in a super hurry because the Enano anniversary has started and we are thinking about redoing our vows

by the way .. I am using the hopper condom on the end of my Enano glass stem for a MUCH smoother hit :haw:

@Mr. Me2 , I KNOW! I feel so duplicitous!

It may be that my hoppers never crap out again, but I highly doubt it. I won't like having to wait 10 seconds for the FW to provide vapor, but I guess I can find something to do for those precious seconds wasted

I've looked at the vapcap... been trying to understand how that thing works... I went dark trying to figure out their website videos to show how it works, but didn't come away with any VAS for it. Is it powered by external flame?

I've got some really weak material atm so the need to hit multiple bowls quickly is an issue. For shits and giggles I decided to use my joint roller to make a "snake" and fed it directly into the chamber.

I set temp to ~4.3 and got two average cloudy hits before my material died in the arse!

I will probably try this again with better material and pack it a little less.

Looks like this product is still available... I have one and it does do a very nice job...
I just get stuck on the ritual of using the @Ratchett funnel method; it's lickity split.
Out of the house, though, I'll bring the Feeder with me

So I DROPPED my grey Ti a half hour ago... waist height onto a hardwood floor. Time stood still. My world rocked. I was helpless to stop it. I picked it up (it had just been turned off when I dropped it - actually I was in the act of putting it back in the leather sleeve I have for it, derpy fingers...). As I placed it on the table, the Red lights came on steady. I picked it up and it went dark. There was a knock at the door. hehe, sorry, just kidding... I picked it up and it went dark....
I clicked it on, but nothing happened. "NOOOO!!", I cried (actually it was a much more foul word).
I clicked it again, and it flashed red and went dark. I paused, then clicked it again and it functioned properly.
I'm imagining that 3D heater with a hairline fracture in it somewhere now, like I have to be extra gentle with it now. Maybe buy it dinner.

How can I be so cavalier? Because my Firewood 4 is arriving tomorrow. I will NOT be held hostage to GHL! But hell that was a great rip I just took, too.

Yeah I do remember that post...
I did a careful inspection of mine, and I surmised the only place these "fibers" could reasonable be created was at the edges of the front of the plunger. I inspected several "fills" (dumped them out after Hopper-filling) and didn't see anything, but I took a very fine emery cloth to the circular edges of the plunger just to be anal about it.
As I use it about 10% of the time if that, I'm not too worried. I'd certainly like to see more on that if anyone has also made that observation.

I do not need a Firewood. I do not need a Firewood. I do not need a Firewood. I do not need a Firewood. I do not need a Firewood. I do not need a Firewood. I do not need a Firewood.

Maybe just a peek at the videos.

NO! I do not need a Firewood. I do not need a Firewood. I do not need a Firewood. I do not need a Firewood. I do not need a Firewood.....

So I received my brand new ti and ss GH's (again) and put them through 3 bowls each. I think they work even better than my old ones! The blue flicker is there sometimes, but the performance is off the charts. I don't know if there has been a design change, and it's too early too conclude, but I think the new GH's have better airflow. I've had to slow my draw to compensate, not much...but I think it's there. Could also be that my 2 older hoppers have shit where it shouldn't be....i'm not sure. The extraction is even faster!

The new back ends are sooooo smooth.... i'm in love again all over.

@moondog Did you see the new sneak peek vid of Arizer's new portable? :ko:

Thanks man, yeah I can sometimes cough alot....I did after testing the two new hoppers, and that part is usually off camera lol . I'm so happy that you love your GH, I was a little apprehensive when I suggested THC, but now that I have mine back I realize I was just being paranoid and a whiny little bitch! These GH's work amazing!

I can imagine them, and I will be getting one! Or more....since I have 4 GH's! Vids coming soon!
