Missed the presale, but snagged one today!! It would have been nice to get the extra's . Can't wait to try this, my Crafty just takes too damn long to heat up !
Snagged one as in you already have it? Either way looking forward to your review. Mine should get into the mail as soon as today if they got the tshirts as planned.

Snagged one as in there is no option to order them anymore on the website , but i called in and was able to order one. I watched the live Youtube live event last night and tried to call then, but no one was answering. I have a CF, have had it for months, it works well, but i like convection, and my Crafty takes so long to heat up.

I haven't got mine yet but I'm pretty confident that it's going to be a winner. I like the comment Troy said about his wife preferring the FF2 and he lent out their FF2 and his wife was disappointed. Then he let her try the CFV and she said the vapor quality was just like the FF2. So if all that is true I'm excited the FF2 best feature from what I have seen is cool good quality vapor. looks way easier to use and doesn't have all the silly gimmicky features.

The ring system is a very original and cool idea, I like to user mod so I like that they are moving that direction.

HA, Thanks! My wife gave me so much shit for mentioning her... like her moms going to watch it or something.
Totally true though. I need to get my FF2 back so I can compare. The CFV vapor is similar to firefly 2 and crafty.

I was under the impression the vapor quality of this units was very different..... but since I never tried them, I can't speak about my own experience.

It makes sense to me that the vapor quality would be similar. Build quality and convection mechanism seem equally sound. FF2 has lots of tricks and whistles

CFV ship notice came in email last night.. prepare the Hype Train for boarding! Next stop Convectionville!

That big aluminum (?) ring they showed on the last livestream looks quite interesting also. I'm glad i'll be able to swap in new rings and change the way the vape works. I can picture using wood while vaping on the go, and switching to metal or glass when i'll be rigging it up to a bubbler.

The aluminum one is actually a whole chamber. It replaces the threaded chamber top ring and the wooden/glass/quartz ring. I really liked how that performed too, can't wait to get one.

I'm all aboard the hype train right now.

So it's a whole chamber insert? Could it be pre-packed for swapping on the go if I had a couple? If that's not how it works It would be nice if boundless wanted to make some pre-pack chamber inserts for on the go.

With the coming addition of reward points, 3 year warranty But randle said even if it's past 3 years they would take care of you (maybe small fee?). Boundless CS really seems top notch, and I really like that they want to engage with the community and have fun with us.

Choo choo I'm aboard the hype train too!

That's a cool idea. They could machine the aluminum bowl to hold the screen and have them all thread together for storage (with caps or something).

I did some convection testing on the CFV and flowermate swift pro today.

I tried to make it reasonably scientific

Results: amazing.

Thank you very very much for the test man!
They both seem to me as a great improvement over the Crafty/Mighty. And more economical of course.
I wonder which felt better quality-wise. Is the display on the Swift as dim as it looks in the video? Is it harder to read than the CFV? Does the Swift feel better in the hand as it's more round-ish? Do they have the same rubbery surface? How do the buttons compare? :)

Just curious, what is the relationship between these two companies? Did they just end up contracting out to the same Chinese manufacturer?

Essentially they work together and share some resources. They both use SMISS for their manufacturing and production. I'm working on an article that goes more into detail. I met the owners of each company last weekend and got the full run-down. It's a good relationship.

Both units feel really good. The surface has that satin-like finish.
The CFV is more grippy because of the groove pattern, but the swift slides in and out of my pocket smoother.

The display on the swift is a bit dim. It's dimmer than the CFV. I'm not sure if the lens is actually darker, or if the display is dimmer. It's also possible that my unit may be flawed, this is a pre-production sample.

The video is great. Shows the convection is the real deal. I see why they dropped the timer to 4 minutes, thats the right time to give it a little mix and bump up the temp for another minute's worth to finish off the load. The bowl seems about 3/4 of the size of the CFX? or less? would removing the wooden ring work? Probably just less even vaporization, necessitating a stir mid-session.

Thanks man!
Let's say the display will remain as is is in production units, is it hard to see in daylight?

Heh that's not entirely accurate, but I'm surprised that they let you talk about it in the first place...
