Cheap High Quality Bubbler

A: Is this thing worth the $$ as a travel piece? Looking to re-do my case and cut out the FC-710 and its drop-down to save some space. Can it support the weight of a Nano without tipping? Is this the recommended seller for this item? @Monsoon

B: I am hoping to get a nice travel water tool for the mighty and Milinna. Is this a good recommended upright small water tool? Or is there another one that is more highly recommended? Do they make theese things in 18MM?

EDIT: This seems a better price than the above one, and less diffusion which is my preference. Anyone got experience on this one?

C: I've read that the RBT vapes all have some issue with fitting GonG fittings properly. Due to using non-standard fitting sizes, or some other funkiness. Any-way can someone out there Recommend me the place where to buy the right adapter to attach a RBT vape to whichever water tool I buy above in point B?

Thanks for your time everyone.

RBT products need an 18mm US stem or adapter. The only places I've heard of where you can get that is oregon glassblower- by special order- or RBT's site.

I bought the first one before you edited. Let me know if you order the second one and like it. I thought about canceling the first and will if anybody has personal experience with the second and it is just as good.

Some of the m>m adapters you get with Chinese bubblers are the right size for RBT vapes (US as opposed to ISO. US good, ISO not good). Going through my box of spare glass parts I had 4 out of 5 that were US. But, no way to tell unless you have them in hand and I wouldn't trust most DHGate vendors to even get it, no less be honest about such a small part of what they are selling.

On top of that, some Chinese M>M are the right height but so cheaply constructed they have other issues. One of my 4 US sized has too narrow of a slope on the sides, so goes too deep for Milaana. Still not bad for me because 3 out of 5 work. But, be careful and check closely before using any of these in his vapes.

OGB knows of this specific issue and will do US joints if requested. And, you can luck into them elsewhere but it seems this issue and the difference between the two isn't widely known - even by glass vendors.

I was wondering if anyone had any comparison shots/reviews of the GB-187-S, FC-187 V2, and the D020-D. I saw that there was one for the FC-187 V1 and D020-D, but a sidecar comparison would be great (even though I know the D020-D's mouthpiece is in the middle).

I already ordered a FC-187 V2, but after following some of the past couple pages on the quality from steven, I'm getting a little concerned I might not be as satisfied as some customers from a couple months ago. Of course, that's the risk of getting Chinese glass, but I was contemplating just ordering one of the other two while I wait because those vendors seem to have kept their QC consistent.

Thanks in advance!

I would pick up something with a new perc if I were you. Another matrix bubbler is likely to function similarly. FC UFO or maybe the FC MOD which has matrix and Showerhead percs

I'm really liking the FC-UFO. Waited way too long to order it. Was on my short list for quite some time.

Really like the size of the can and type of perc. Only issue is that the perc doesn't fire evenly all the way around on light/medium draw. Not too bad, and not a big issue IMO. On mine, problem seems to be that the perc is not level so air tends to go to one side first. If I put a matchpack under the side that doesn't fire as well, it levels out to almost perfect.

On the plus side, have been having fun playing with a hose on the mouthpiece side! Works well for me with bubb on table next to me, nano on top and 30" or so of tubing. And, not the crap that comes with it. Do yourself a favor and get some better silicone food grade. Favorite way to do this so far is with Joda carbed stem. I put a small plug in the carb. Hit with hose, then pull the carb plug to clear. Nice for zoned out TV time!

Also, since MP is removable you can spin it to any angle. Have always loved sidecars under my nano, and having the ability to direct it any way I like is even better IMO!

Hasn't been mentioned here in quite some time, and not as cheap because not from China - but I still love my jhanpoxel UFO sidecar. Is US and thicker glass. Not real cheap at $150, but still a good value! Find it on iOffer here. jhan is a member here on FC. Used to be able to get a quick easy 10% off by mentioning FC and offering the lower price. Might even be able to get it cheaper than that if you ask. I like mine so much I may grab another and gift this one to a friend who has always loved it.

Been eying that one for like 3 years. Lol
Just hard for me to pull the trigger on it for $135. It's made well. I've seen other members vids. I'm just cheap when it comes to glass because I'm so damn clumsy.

Yeah, $135 ain't $35, but I've never regretted purchasing mine. It has taken a few hard knocks that I'm pretty sure would have broken anything from China, and you'd never know it to look at her. I get the concern with price issue, but you get what you pay for. I guess luck comes into play with Chinese stuff, because no QA leads to some being better than others - but $135 is a more than fair price for this one and doubt you'll have nearly the chance of it being broken in shipping or having sloppy or tilted glass work.

I got my FC Mod from steven and it came in perfect condition. I love it. Wait and see before you buy something else.

Any other glass similar to the UFO with two joints instead of a fixed mp? I have the FC-mod, would prefer something with more volume.

unbearably light in the being....
Thanks for the comments on [D-0220] dude: I almost bought one, but went with a "Biohazard Glass 13 In Showerhead Honeycomb Perc Martini Water Pipe" (from BWG) - largely because I got a little Purr 'sherlock' for free with it....

The Purr mini-hammer/not-really-calabash is...cute. And pink (clear or grey, my two prefs - not happening). It is also TINY, which may be a good or bad thing, I don't know yet - I'll either love it, hate it, make a gift of it, or find its 'special purpose'. Water-test not real satisfactory: a mouthful of water w/ every pull is guaranteed if I add water even a couple millimeters above the perc slits...and I have the feeling this is gonna be a pain to clean.
After some actual use, I've become a real fan of this little thing.

First off, it's very stable, in an axis-of-support kind of way - which means that while it's plenty stable vs side-to-side bumping or shaking, it's even more stable along the length of the pipe. Being self-supporting the way it is, it fit comfortably on my keyboard tray: tucked-in safely & out-of-sight - not in the way.

Second, it's very comfortable in my hands (which are wide, thick & muscular). It has plenty of heft, to remind me that I'm holding it & the fact that it's obviously not a lighter (from a tactile perspective), but is small enough that I never feel like I'm about tho drop it - it does not actually FEEL tiny in use. I do confess that I'm fussy about the joint between the water part & the stem: seems like the most likely failure zone.

Third, I complained about this being a drinking fountain on first look & initial water-test, but it is not at all.
The permabowl is TINY - the downstem is relatively large in diameter, and the combination on this pipe really works toward those ends: with the bowl full (and with one of these in place...
https://www.brotherswithglass.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BWG-AFGSA928)
...the draw feels normal, bubble-action is very nice, and NO mouth water comes through - even after raising the water a full centimeter above the bottom of the perc. That one bowl, smoked normally (about what would fill your basic aluminum one-hitter), I can get a nice green hit, a full milk hit, and maybe a clean-up hit. That's often enough for me to stay lifted...and so many of my smoking tweaks work with it.

For clarity, you CAN get water in your mouth with this: but if you're pulling that hard, you're probably not getting smoke anymore.

Fourth, it is quite easy to clean - I was completely wrong about that. Resin sticks of course that's always true, but it doesn't trap and hold ash, herb-bits or other trash, and it rinses out quick and easy. When it comes time to really clean it, it will be easy to do the ethanol fill/soak/drain.

VERY happy with this, and glad to have it!
