That's very cool Ed, can't wait to see what your friend makes! :science:

My new Ti burly is truly GREAT, thanks Ed.
I'm really impressed by the performance, just like all the established VC heads said I would be
And the looks of your work with the wood really makes it something special , can't get enough of it!

I have ideas for some small burl pieces, and when you're taking orders for custom pieces again I hope you'll consider making them for me.

I'm currently trying to work out how to post my own pic's so that I can let you see what one of the pieces might look like.
:bang: :bang: :bang:
I might have worked it out by the time you're ready

Dunno if this'll work.
Here goes!:
7acE1Ys.jpg

OK, so the idea is for an @Ed's TnT VonG which will fit 18mm, 14mm and also has a couple of notches removed from the narrow tip of the 14mm end to allow 'native' use without a water tool.
STOGIE!
tumblr_nhmpufVVpN1t553g0o1_250.gif

The tip probably doesn't look comfortable, but I've had another device with this shape, and it's fine for me.

The VonG is sized to allow the use of my XL Dynavap condenser tube, which I believe is 17mm longer than a standard one.

The three grey stripes are burn bands, and the black dots are very small carb holes (about one third to one quarter the size of the standard woodie carb hole) which can be blocked with O-rings, or left open as desired (I imagine that I'll be using it with one or two open).
The O-rings locate in the burn bands.

Since the idea is mostly cobbled together out of previous WonGs you've made I figure it would be slap bang in your wheelhouse Ed?

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well for you all! Been a good couple of days past, my girl and I visited a new church Sunday night, had a good time with her over the weekend as well as the boys. We watched the new movie CREED, wow what a flick, Rocky is the man! Got some bad news last week, then the bad news turned to not so bad, found out I owed the IRS quiet a bit of dough then yesterday found out I still owed just not quiet as much as I thought initially so bad news not so bad aint that bad after all. I was in town yesterday afternoon to meet my tax lady, she was running late, there was a storm blowing, she called me to reschedule our meeting when I was waiting on her to arrive about 5pm when the sky went dark, the bottom fell out and there was a big bolt of lightning that blacked out the entire town, was like yeah maybe we should meet another day. I put the truck in drive and headed home, was a couple miles from there when I saw the biggest brightest bolt of lightning hit the ground not far from me, I swear when the bolt disappeared I could see the smoke from it evaporate, never I have I ever seen anything like it, got worried and put a little more foot on the gas pedal for real! Yesterday morning though I went and picked up this for my oldest, @Reflections after doing more research you were so right about the Ruger LITE, not a good choice but still went for a Ruger got the Mark iii Hunter, such a smooth shooting gun, has alot more weight than what he was accustomed to, we loaded a couple mags during a short break in the rain, he is so going to be ready for competition the end of the month.

Ruger%20Mark%20iii%20Hunter%20copy_zpstiqtdx0g.png
This is such a nice gun, it will never loose value and he will be able to hand this down to his grand kids. Talk about a grin, he had no idea I got it yesterday, he was worried about what we would do for the competition later so had to put a stop to that. Woot woot going to see Widespread Panic with my girl tomorrow night in the city, going to hit the oyster bar again before the show then its

Gosh so much is happening, I am wrapping up a couple orders then gotta knock out a fairly large VapCap order with some new stuff included in it, so be on the look out for all that soon enough.

Wanted to do a quick Show & Tell regarding the Mighty Wong I mentioned back, this piece is Cocobolo has an 18mm male, you will see the tabs/fins for holding it snugly in place on the unit. Gotta be able to clean up the tabs before I can offer these, think I have it figured out just gotta get a piece of tooling and hope that does what I want, if so its on!

Mighty%20Wong%2018mm_zpsd42g2cp6.jpg

@Shit Snacks My man, thanks for being part of what I was able to do, if there is anything further I will let ya know!

@Copacetic So glad you like the VC burly piece, those are so much fun to make, just amazing to see them all put together, @VapCap George is doing a great thing taking what I do and mating it with what he does, very very cool to see it come together! Like the drawing you did, good job my man, should be something I am capable of, only thing is the mouthpiece not sure how to achieve that cleanly, maybe by the time I can get back to custom stuff I will have that figured out, hang in there with me chief!

@Fat Freddy LOL, dont feel so bad at my age of 40 in July I dont know much about glass either, all I do know is that it aint wood and it will break if it hits the floor! What I do know is that these pieces are really something special, I have alot of learning to do and hopefully in the end I will learn you something too!

I am a Ruger man myself. Great guns, affordable prices, and they stand behind them. Once sent in an old Ruger P89 Probably from the late 1980's. It was second hand and they still went above and beyond.

Now back on topic. When things slow down i still need me a Zion/Mi stem. Eds work is top notch

A big storm with lightning bolts is a good reason to delay an appointment with a tax lady!
Take care my friend, it seems you are living in a wild country, lol! (No volcano in activity I hope!)
I'm anxious to see the new show and tell for the Vapcap!

@IAmKrazy2 This is our first Ruger, have always been a Remington guy til I got my Browning A5, have friends that have Rugers and have always admired them, this is a very nice pistol, we are all very happy with it. Yeah lets let thins calm down a bit and Ill get ya right with that new stem, count on it!

@Reflections Got to be honest, I have really let my biz slow down, total sales are half of 14 for 15 but its all been worth it. Since the split with my ex I have devoted so much more time to my boys, our relationships have grown so much stronger and closer and I couldnt be happier. I was chasing a dream trying to start my biz and once I got it off the ground I figured there wasnt any stopping there, one of the main reasons for the split, in the end I am very blessed to still have my sons and watch them become the men they will be in the future! I am glad you like the gun, I figured you would and thanks so much for the kind words as always. Thats whats so cool about the glass, I dont have to make it, all I have to do is sell it, so helps with the revenue and doesnt take any time out from time with my sons and girl!

@Aezhenn Lol, yeah thats what everyone says about Mississippi, if you dont like the weather wait a day or two it will change and change it does! No volcanoes, sink holes or fault lines that I know of, figure thats a good thing! Keep an eye out bro, there is much much S&T to come in the next few weeks, alot of wondrous pieces of all sorts!

@Philreal187 Holy smokes how bout your S&T my friend! I so forgot you had those buckeye pieces, I absolutely love that BE UD with just the burn bands, that piece was so much fun to make, even though it doesnt have much detail on my end the colors and eyes are so amazing, really dig those rusty brown spots. Am really jealous you have sun, kinda dreary down here, those pics are very nice and still must say that Kingwood piece is the treasure of the trove. Thanks for the post and for having my back if I that darned IRS gives me any headache, I will most certainly send em this way, am sure they wont like yalls greeting!

Good afternoon everyone, wow been a busy busy last week as usual, Widespread Panic put on an amazing show, the first set was a whole list of oldies but goldies, the second set were a couple or so and alot of new stuff, was a blast! Had to explain to my girl what spread heads were and tell her they were mostly just hippies more or less.

2016-04-13%2020.11.45_zpsttgdhtf9.jpg

Too bad this pic aint scratch and sniff, gosh as soon as the lights dimmed the rush was on, the overwhelming odor was intense to say the least! The day before the show got my boys out for some shooting in the back yard, told my oldest since I did him a solid I wanted him to do me one and give the 20 gauge a try at a skeet, guess long ago he shot something and got quiet a kick from the recoil and it got him gun shy, he never would for the longest time ever shoot a shotgun saying it would kick and he didnt want that, been telling him if you can take a hit on the football field from boys bigger than yourself a #8 20 gauge round is nothing, so he thought about it and gave it a try, first shot he nailed it, said this is kinda fun, I told him hey get ya another couple shells and give it another try, he did, nailed those 2 for 3 in a row! He said let me try it again, was 9 before he missed the 10th. Took a break and let his brother shoot, he did well all in all. He got back at it and before it was all said and done he hit 20 out of 23 for his first time ever shooting a shotgun and at skeet, uhhhh WOW! Their grandfather was out there and he told Carter I think your brother has a better eye than you, Carter said aw no its just beginners luck, I was thinking maybe the same thing as the grandfather lol! So took the end of the week and finished up an order to go to PIU that went out this morning, will elaborate on it more maybe tomorrow or so, got some new stuff headed their way with pieces I havent offered yet at my website nor really ever before. Just so much going on I did a small shoot yesterday and wanted to follow up on the glass I was telling you all about.

So now for a different kinda Show & Tell, keep in mind I havent done a whole lot of measuring and such but you can get the jest of it the few pieces I have below and believe me this is just a small sampling of what is to come, there are many many new pieces I still havent gotten to yet. Keep in mind some of you may have seen these pieces some may not have. I will let you know alot more about these and the rest in coming days!

This piece is called the Atomic Arizer Air/Solo 3D Flow Booster, rather than have that crumby 4 hole glass filter in it like the stock glass stems this one is wide open, has these small glass points that protrude inward where the conical screen can rest. It also has the glass points all the way up the length of the stem.

Atomic%20Arizer%20Solo-Air%203D%20Flow%20Booster%20Stem_zps2aon30u3.png

You can see it here with the unit to get an idea of the length of it.

Atomic%20Arizer%20Solo-Air%203D%20Flow%20Booster%20w-Solo%20Unit_zps2skxbghk.png

This piece has the same points and screen setup as the stem above with the 18mm male WPA

In the Air

Atomic%20Arizer%20Solo-Air%20WPA%2018mm%20w-%20Air%20unit_zpszfk0g2kk.png

This is the same kinda stem as the 3D piece above without all the cool points within it.

With the units

Atomic%20Arizer%20Solo-Air%203D%20Flow%20Booster%20w-Air%20amp%20Solo%20Units_zpskk9armzk.png

Now I know many of you have my stems for the Air, Nano, & Solo with the Orings, havent offered the orings yet by themselves but will be adding them to my site really soon for those of you that are in need of replacements

Air-Solo-Nano%20Orings%20PNG_zpsnwnkhcbr.png

I am sure you all will have questions regarding the glass and I will do my best to answer them as they come in. I hope you all like the first few pieces I have posted and do remember there are alot more to come and will surely not disappoint!

Good morning everyone, I hope everyone's day is off to a great start! I got a really big smile and my heart was so full of pride yesterday afternoon, I think I may have mentioned it here before but hey if I did I cant help mentioning it again, my youngest is in the first grade, down here they really focus on reading more so than any other subject period hands down, the highest a 1st grader can score at reading for their level is a 900, mine scored an 863!!! He is reading at a 3rd grade level and they figure when they test him again before the year ends for them he will be at a 4th grade level, say what in the first grade, uhhhhh yeah thats right! He is such a smart smart kid, hes got such a great heart, very caring for his brothers no matter if they treat him like crap he wont ever not get them a piece of candy from the store when he gets a piece, his feelings can get hurt awful quick and he can get sad but he has such a fire for life, yall dont know how blessed and thankful I am to have all 3 of my boys! Told him yesterday to keep it a secret, am going to drop his brothers off at home friday afternoon from school, take him to town with me let him go where ever he wants for dinner and let him get what ever he wants to eat then stop by the redbox and let him pick out the movie for the night, hes terrible at keeping secrets though, hope he doesnt rat himself out lol!

Just got an order out to PIU first of the week believe I made mention of it earlier, want to do another Show & Tell for yall, this is my first batch of ESV stems and such, these will be able to be purchased from PIU as soon as Randy is able to get them shot and listed if anyone is interested you can pick them up there. I have just been so slammed that adding new stuff to my site is tough, so getting them to him so you all can get your hands on them will have to work for now. First up

You may have seen this style in Bloodwood I did for a guy, this is the long draw stem in Blackwood

ESV%20Unit%20amp%20Long%20Draw%20Stems_zpsunshftal.png

These are 14mm Blackwood WPA's

ESV%20Unit%20amp%2014mm%20WPA_zpseiwl74b4.png

These you have not seen, also in Blackwood they are short draw stems basically the same as the plastic piece that comes with the unit

ESV%20Unit%20amp%20Short%20MP_zpsrjkmy6u9.png

Was neat to get the white sapwood in a couple of these pieces. Pls let me know what yiou think and by all means get on the horn with Randy and tell him to get them posted so you all can get ya some if ya like!

Oh BTW got a little bit of bad news from my guy yesterday bout the Panic, not sure how many of you are interested but sure does suck! Thankfully the Jazzfest isnt that far, never been to Red Rocks, guess its road trip time for the next shows!

http://liveforlivemusic.com/news/john-bell-confirms-widespread-panics-decision-to-stop-touring/

Sad times for sure!

@Copacetic Thanks for posting up my man and for digging the new glass, hope I can get ya some soon if you like!

Good morning, what a tragic day yesterday was, my new fangled apple watch gets news updates, saw a popup where a male was found dead at Prince's house, I made a quick joke saying oh no, Prince whacked a guy and fled the scene, not long after my watch lit up again, Prince was dead... Such sad sad news, had always thought of him to be immortal kinda like Michael Jackson, I mean how can people like that die but hey they do, we do, everyone does at one time or another. Reminds me not even tomorrow is a guarantee, life is a gift and waking up today is a blessing. I grew up listening to Prince watching his videos and singing his songs watching purple rain, what a loss!

RIP Prince

@Hyphy Woot Woot, make sure you have enough space on your phone for pics and video bro, that show will be memorable, there is no doubt and unless you are planning any road trips might be the last. My friend and I are already thinking hey we have never done Red Rocks!

@starvingmusician24 Good question my man, good question, I know I should have done had them available and I have no excuse! What I do know is that I have a rather considerable order for Vapcap, still not taking anymore custom work for some time, once I get the VC order out in the next few weeks I should be freed up to make those happen. I really should have made those by now and had them up, pls hang in there with me.

Have a question for everyone, what do you all think is the most used species of wood by Dave @ UD? I want to do a couplea three that generally match his most common wood species and also a couple of exotics like Blackwood or Cocobolo.

The most common types are birch, maples & walnuts (at least the last few months) but Underdog seem to have a good mix of exotics always available. You could do a run of light wood & dark wood ones as a value option to the exotic ones you mention .

Good morning all, had a great past few days, the boys got their progress reports, the lowest grade out of all 3 was a 91 rest of em were 100's, 99's and a 96 WOOT WOOT! So since they did so great I took them for BBQ and a movie Friday night, saw the new jungle book, great flick, the animals were so life like, have never seen anything like it. My youngest got his end of the year reading test, scored 4th grade level in the 1st grade, watch out!!! Did shooting range and ball practice yesterday morning, the older 2 did great at .22 and were dusting the skeet all morning long, shot almost 200 rounds of shotgun shells. Carter is so stubborn, you cant tell him nothing, I am trying to convince him he needs an auto 20 gauge for next year, it will shoot faster, recoil is less and shots will be more accurate, hes like dad I don't want one I can pump fast enough, ughhh, he doesn't get it, hes like me and aint one for change so guess he gets it honest, lol. This change would be better, he'll just have to like it is all! Did a couple sacks of duck bites last night with baked beans shells & cheese RRRRR, what a dinner, just one sack left, going to sit on it a little longer. Going to be hitting the shop hard all this week, so gotta get this VC stuff done, cant wait to get these new pieces out to you all soon, sure wanna hear you alls thoughts! Also have to gear up for the music festival this coming weekend, doing it in Memphis Friday - Sunday, should be epic!

@Stevenski My man, thats what I was hoping to hear and thank you for pipping up with that info! Will probably do Maple & Walnut on the low end and add a couple exotics as upgrades, have a couple species that I havent ever introduced as far as retail goes that would go great with the UD and also stand apart from the other units I do stems for. Thanks for your input bro!

@starvingmusician24 Thanks bro for your understanding and be sure to get in on the VC stuff if you havent yet! See you are from down south, hmm where abouts down south you from, you in Dixie? Splinters are part of the biz, just try not to get a hand full or one larger than band-aids can handle, always keep a couple boxes of those in the shop, those are like sandpaper, a must have!

@Mr.Sifter Good morning or evening to ya over there, ya know I have an EU guy that sells to all the stores over there for me but he has been working hard on creating glass and such, hasn't ordered in a while so not sure who has any left over there. Hey, dont let that deter you, if you want 1, 2, or 3 put in an order boss, I ship worldwide for free! You get that in soon enough they will ship out tomorrow, tuesday the latest! Thanks for stopping by and your interest in my work, hope all is well and look to hear from you again soon!

thank you.
I dont know if the wooden stems would go through customs.
Do you have more wooden stems for air/solo than on your website ?
Or more affordable stems with minor beauty flaws?
would be interested for some nice wood for a solo/air

Hmmm I have sent these pieces all over the world and havent had any issues with customs so far, shouldnt be a factor. I do have a few pieces for the solo and maybe the air laying around that might fit what you ask, would have to know more about budget and such then we could go from there boss. Hit me up via PM and we can go from there. Thanks for getting back so quickly!

@Ed's TnT yea bud from the Dixie, Over here in South Carolina . I jumped on the vapcap 420 deal to try one out. How could I resist a $20 vape right? If it lives up to all the praise I'm all in for a Woodie for the beauty and longevity. Im seeing some talk about those underdog stems. Are you going to go with the smaller diameter stainless ssteel or the over size style stainless? I'll put my vote in for smaller diameter if it counts haha.

Nice, gotta love the south bro, not sure if you guys get the heat and humidity like we do down here in MS, supposed to be 85 here today. You right a $20 vape, its a must! I do make the Nano stems which work with the UD as far as going over the heat port but the ones I plan on offering will utilize the UD OEM SS Tips made by Dave and Amanda that go within the heat port of the UD that alot of people get made here and there for custom pieces. You can go back a few pages and see the ones I have made that I plan on introducing for the UD in a unique style that will be consistent for that unit. Check em out and let me know what you think! Thanks for dropping back by!

@Ed's TnT yea it stays pretty humid and warm here , But It's not a southern summer without the sticky heat so are we to do ha. I've been hooked on this page for a while friend so I've seen all sorts of customs come and go. Just needed to know for myself. I might give a nano stem a shot and see if it'll fix my urge for a bit haha.
