I have just been having a conversation with Caroline about the offer of the free battery for delays. I have emails from Trevor before Caroline joined the company saying I would receive one battery for each grasshopper delayed past original shipment date. Caroline is now trying to tell me it is only 1 battery per preorder not per grasshopper. Can anyone else clarify the matter. I will be very disappointed after waiting all this time to only receive the one. It seems another case of HL trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes.

Caroline is also saying it would be only for GHs delayed past the original shipment date, but this in my case is all 3. So cant see why I would only receive the one. Not happy about this!

Took a look and their May production update is quite clear, 1 battery per order " Due to this inconvenience, any orders that are shipped late will receive an extra battery free of charge."

And they July production update " All pre-orders delayed past their original estimated ship date will receive a free extra battery with their shipment.".

Since you have an email stating that you will get 1/unit you may have something to stand on but the communications they sent I believe were fairly clear that it is one per order.

Why when i ask HL a question they get right back to me? I ask for a refund on Friday and have not heard anything. Sent another email lastnight and Caroline got back to me today asking for my paypal email so she can issue refund. My paypal hasnt changed since i placed the order. They should have that. Wtf???

I have forwarded these to Caroline for clarification, I'm hoping they will honour those emails

@Crow They are probably just checking to make sure they still have the correct details or if you want it refunded to a different account maybe. Just like when they send the address confirmation when shipping, they are just making sure in your case the refund goes to where it should.

In this situation, I would suggest politely responding back to caroline and including copies of the previous emails (forward or attach to the existing email). If personal emails you have indicate that you'll get one extra battery for each hopper your ordered, then by all means you should get what they promised you.

As long as you have proof of what you were told, a company should honor that promise. And I have every belief that hopper labs would make good on that promise if there's proof they actually made it. After all, it is only a $7 battery.

I ordered a SS on 1/8/16, my new ship date is June. I realize that orders placed 6 months before me have not received shipping confirmation. How do they expect all these back orders to ship in June?
I Thought they were going to give truthful shipping expectations?
This is already been my 3rd shipping date change.
I'm not cancelling, I just want a truthful ship date.

Lol seriously, with enough equipment and staff, they could have them done next week. We know they've been hiring more staff, but does anyone know how many more employee's they've hired to assemble the vapes?

Nobody knows how many units they're currently manufacturing per week. We know they've been cranking up production, but not by how much - they could be making twice as many, or they could be making twenty times the volume they were 6 months ago. There's always a chance they could ship those 5000+ outstanding orders by June.

Plus, that's 5000+ preorders to date. In their last letter, they said they now have the capacity to manufacture ~550 gh per week. Of the outstanding preorders, we don't know how that breaks down per month. But we can "guess" based on their latest shipping estimates. My guess is that there are ~2000 - 2500 preorders through June 2015.

Of course, capacity to manufacture and ability are 2 different things. We can only hope that they have sufficient non-defective parts to meet this manufacturing capacity. If so, their estimates sound reasonable.

So let the calendar march on so all of us can get our gh's!

I'll add that their last newsletter did not also discuss shipping capacity. Hopefully, they can ship as quickly as they manufacture so there is no bottleneck at that stage.

I believe it was the sheer mass of orders they have. Based on some sales data I have from other vaporizer companies, I think people seriously underestimate the popularity of this vaporizer.

550 units a week does sound good (although a bit slow if you ask me), I estimate they have already sold over 40,000 grasshoppers. Nobody knows how many they've already made and sold (and how many replacements they've shipped in total) but I believe it's because they had a massive backlog of orders and they refused to ship a defective product.

I really believe the start of Vapefiend's retails sales indicated that Hopper labs was finally comfortable with all of their revisions made to the vape. I feel this is when they finally started the real mass production, and now they're racing to catch up so they can ship all outstanding orders as fast as possible.

Based on my store's grasshopper accessory sales, I think it's safe to say there are a LOT more grasshopper's in the wild than there were two months ago.

Between the leather case, the spiral case, the funnel and this (if it happens), I'll end up spending almost as much with you, Ratchett, as I do with GHL!

bullets should be in original equipment for a vape that can heat up in 5 sec. reloading Hopper when on a go must be fast and convenient. otherwise it defeats the purpose of fast and stealthy usage.

Well I couldn't resist. Ordered a SS from Vapefiend and cancelled my SS from HL. I still have a blue ti on the way but the SS will satisfy my VAS. I have not enjoyed my obsession over this vape at all!! I do feel like I'm in the top 10 on a reality show for being able order through the limited window for one of these.

Lol, I gotcha guys - that was down on the list, but I see the demand. I'll bump the bullet project up and see what we can come up with. Hopefully I'll have some prototypes before my hopper arrives.

Can someone with a really accurate pair of calipers measure the inside diameter and depth of the oven for me? (Probably wrong thread to ask, hahaha)

8.9mm ID. That is at its tightest tolerance.

Apx 15.3mm deep, had to use a guage and measure that so probably a slight variation there. Private message me if you need anything.

Thanks @priestsmiler. This was actually my 3rd time trying to order through them. The first time was on my birthday 4.14.16. The site wouldn't load on my end so I missed that opportunity. I missed this morning because my bank would not process a UK purchase. I almost missed the 12pm sale today because the hoppers didn't show they were available until about 10 after and I had almost given up because they usually sell out within 5 minutes. Not sure when they will restock but if you email them they can add you to the mailing list when they are available. Someone may also post here or on reddit when the next batch will be available.

I checked Vapefiend's online store. Guys try ordering a hopper it looked like they had the stainless steel. It didn't say out of order. I didn't try ordering I did see if it would load into my basket and it did. I didn't go through the credit card number and all that because I'm not getting one today.
