Yes I paid extra for a mouthpiece, I bought two. I didn't realize that the Hydrobomb kit didn't include the regular mouthpiece so I ordered a couple hours later in a separate order. I'm really glad that I did, i like having either option. I don't alway prefer water. It takes away from the taste of the flowers. The high temperatures I use late at night but not in the afternoon. The water tool allows me to do that.

IMO the regular mouthpiece should be included with the different water tool kits. The cost is like $19.99 per piece.p on sale, I see the regular price is $29.99.

Edit
@little maggie they have the water tools listed on Vapexhale.com. My computer is being goofy, it won't allow me to highlight the link to copy. The website explained each piece.
You know Mrs. King, you can always also use your hydrotube on top of your EVO without water it works very well.

@CarolKing I used the vxnail last night and almost put too much in. The perfect amount/hit is when it thins out just when you are ready to stop pulling. It's then that the bad taste should show up and tell you to stop. It's counter-intuitive to leave it burning off that vapor...I always want to hit it because I feel like I'm wasting something. But every time I do it's nasty and I'm sorry I did. Do a couple more nails with less and less and you will hit your stride in no time.

@little maggie - of all places the short and sweet version is in the Herbalizer thread...

Hi guys! I was looking to pick up an EVO in a few days, but found some threads saying this thing is problematic in some aspects?

If so, can you guys shed some light on the known recent QC issues. I know they had some major issues in the beginning stages, but I'm curious to see how the new units are looking. Really into the idea of this piece, but don't want to spend that much money on something that craps out in a month or two lol. Thanks for the advice in advance!!

There are no guarantees, of course, but we get a disproportionate view of the failures here on the forum as more people check in with problems than praise. When I check with vapexhale for overall failure rates, they are in line with the industry at just a few percent. The most important thing, imo, is that as a company they have proven to take care of the problems very well. So I think you are safe giving them your money. Use the code in my signature for an additional 10% off the vapexhale site.

I like your style, btw, as I see we have a lot of the same high end vapes! Not a lot of Super Surfer owners yet...

There are really no issues right now , they had a small problem with bamboos being uneven during a sale and some glass not being blown to specs of previous glass but not much has been reported recently , you should be good to go man. Also we are dealing with advanced electronics so anything can happen any day , even to the best vapes out , you never know. Its a great vape though and you should be very happy if you choose to buy 1.

I was successful last night using some shatter and the glass nail. I appreciate everyones help since the nail is a new thing for me. Also when trying before I think I put too much on the nail.

After a couple draws I would turn the heat up to clean the nail. At one point I thought the nail was cool at the bottom and managed to burn the tip of my middle finger. I learned a good lesson.

I used the regular mouthpiece, it's just easier when learning, I want to be careful with the water tool. I'm used to buying cheap glass through DHgate.
The Hydrbomb like the others are $100. If I spend a lot on glass, that will be the piece that I break. I'm amazed how much is spent on some pieces and glass is so fragile.

I had a total of about 6 draws - 3 sessions at 2 draws each. The vapor had pretty good taste, the temp was at around 1 o'clock. I was medicated to a tender turn and ready for sleep and slept good without any hangover this morning.
Can you tell me everything that you did ? I just can't seem to be able to have good hits when using concentrate in my Evo. Thanks !

montreal,
This is my HydraBomb Hydratube. It is the Prototype for all other HydraBombs. I had to agree to keep it confidential for the first 3 months I had it until they were released. I never got around to posting pics
Sorry it was being used in this pic

This is a custom made Klein Hydratube from Distilled Glass that was for another customer but they allowed me to get it. I dont think the maker or the buyer were thrilled with the aesthetics of the piece and I got it for $100 shipped. My opinion it was a unique piece and a steal. Its the perfect can size and the pull is just golden.

Haha! Thanks!

The Super Surfer is an awesome vape not a lot of people have them I know...it's weird, but to me if I could do it again I think I would get the normal SSV. I really don't ever use the bag function, and the fan mode can sometimes be problematic. That's for another discussion though lol!!

Glad to hear they got everything under control. Right now I'm loving my Herbalizer, but I can't help but be attracted to the idea of this thing. Plus, I'm not entirely blown away with the flavor of the Herbie. Super potent, but flavor for w/e reason is muted in this machine. I keep hearing great things about the flavor with the EVO.

I was going to get the Hydrobomb HT, but saw that there are other people getting different ones through other companies? Any you guys can recommend over the VapeXhale brand? Must be as good, or better than the ones supplied.

Ok so I got a quick update...

Local head shop has an Evo...but it doesn't include some of the stuff the online has. It's missing the concentrate nail, and neoprene sleeve. She said it only has a rubber "livestrong" looking bracelet and ELB's. They're going to give me a good deal, 299.99 with 10% off. But I'm wondering is this an old model or something? It also has a swagger side-circ HT. Aren't these like the first batch of EVO's that people had trouble with, or no? If it's not gonna be a piece of crap I'm totally down to get it right now, but I don't want the "lemon" Evo lol. What do you all think? Only reason I'm wondering this is because of the rubber bracelets, and the older HT.

Not sure what model it is but if it comes with the ht , that is a sweet deal man. I personally would jump on it. I believe the earliest Evo's did not come with the sleeve but don't quote me on it and they are all black , no aluminum showing.

The bracelet and side-circ suggests it is probably an "older" batch, but not necessarily a "first" batch.I think VXL serial numbers are sequential, so that would probably help narrow it down.

They did update the heater control algorithm. Other than that, I don't think there is any discernible difference between older ones and newer ones. I have both a "newer" and "older" one. I actually sent the "older" one in. Not sure what they did (I'm guessing they updated the control algorithm), but both now operate very similar.

My fault!! That's 299.99 w/ 10% on the Evo itself no HT lol!!

They want like 200 bucks or so for the HT. It's a Swagger Side Circ or something like that? I don't see it pictured on the site anywhere. Anyone know if that's any good?

I think those ht's were $150 new when they came out. I would say hold off if your not sure its new and just grab one through our member here on the forum @stickstones , he can give you a 10% discount I believe on a brand new model with his coupon code.

PM @stickstones as he can get you the EVO and a Hydratube--both the most current editions and at a sweet price.
Their current HT's are listed at $150 but I'm almost positive he can get 10% off that too so only $135 and the best price on the EVO itself.
He's also there for advising you/helping you to get the setup that's best for you!

I'd let them know I researched it and found it to be an earlier version with an older algorithm - offer them 375 for the EVO + HT and see what they say.

Yeah, something is telling me to hold off for some reason...I'm just impatient and want to vape that sucka right now after watching all these videos on youube lol!

You can use vaporizerwizard for a 10% off.

What is the best overall HT? I want good flow, and good flavor.

Best is really subjective as they all offer something different , I would read through this thread a bit as there are a few members comparing all the hydratubes. Buy it through stickstones here instead of vaporizer wizard , you are guaranteed a discount and good service which is second to none these days man.

Also when the temperature dial "clicks" into the 12 o'clock position, it's slightly misaligned to the right
Just like mine? . . . .

An off-kilter Evo temperature dial is certianly not uncommon, but I thought that most of the other misalignments I had read of on F.C veered over to the left. Although, I may be mistaken about that :)

@Cannabis Connoisseur - that is a sweet & full looking glassware collection - ewww the GAS! And yet, you carry it off so well. I feel for you brother ;)

And what is it with Hydratubes in particular that gets me like :mmmm: everytime?

Must buy more H.T's! No, no no really I must not!!! :disgust:
