Ya, it seems CC is the best option for best taste and low ratio mixing.
( until the next new thing shows up :) )

One thing about flavor. I was previously mixing dispensary concentrates into flavorless VE. When I started pressing my own rosin and mixing that into flavorless VE, the cannabis flavor increased by magnitudes. Like day and night. I still get a bit of the plastic flavor and I want to cover that by supplementing with extra terpenes, but it's way better flavor now than the wax and shatter I was using before. The density of terpenes in your concentrate make a huge difference in the end result of your mixed juice (probably not as much of a factor with CC).

Starting quality of the material is definitely a huge factor. The concentrate I'll be using will be de-waxed but not winterized. Dewaxing is not as thorough as winterizing but it leaves in most of the terpenes. However, I got winterized wax last year and thought it tasted amazing. I also grew all the weed that made the concentrates so I'd like to think it's high quality. :spidey:

Damn, still quite hung up on the cost of the The Solution.

Well, if anyone else wants to feel better about the cost of The Solution, I give you Blue River Extracts. They are strain specific terpene extracts, extracted from Cannabis plants.. Sold for a mere $100 for ten drops. That's right $10 per drop. WTF!?!?!?

That's a bit extreme for me! The CC is worth the money just wish they sold smaller amounts to lessen the blow.

I don't think that stuff is for vaping. 10 drops would only be like .2gr, not even enough for 1 batch.

Yeah. That makes it even more preposterous! Their rep on insta was suggesting it is for adding flavors to joints and extracts. For extracts he was you are supposed to dip your dab in it. If your shit is so bad you gotta spend $10 a drop to make it taste better, I'd spend that $10 buying better shit.

I'm testing these cart's.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/151889129587?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

I was looking for an all glass, small capacity tank with a 510 connection. I love K1's but using an adapter to get them on my iStick got to be a pain in the ass. There are several providers around of these glass cart's supposedly optimized for thick oil.

So far, I'm fairly impressed. The best feature for me is the open air flow draw, and the performance is on par with the K1. Taste is good/clean. I'll preface this by saying I hate the burnt taste you can get at high voltages so I usually run all my equipment at 3.5-3.7v. This is with a thick CC mix.

I'll update as I continue to test. I particularly want to see if there is any leakage.

Looking at those as well. Curious to hear results.

I recently got a couple of these sent to me as a sample when I ordered a bunch of o.pen carts. I found that the the flavor was incredible, so tasty. They burned through oil faster than any cart I've ever seen tho. There were also some popping issues. I would finish about half the cart and when going to hit it, it would be clogged for like 2 seconds before it "popped" and cleared the clog. It spit oil into my mouth once or twice with that pop as well.. Have u found this to be the case?

Have you considered whether that burnt taste might be caused by a 'dry hit' as the device just can't get the liquid to the coil fast enough to keep up with how quickly it's being vaporised, or maybe the coil just can't hold enough liquid in the first place?

I just saw this in the one hitter quitter thread, pretty much what I'm talking about:

i found the "secret for thc e-liquid" thread, which got me to buy some puff majic, and an evic vtc mini (so glad i got this, i knew the temperature control would come in handy!). been using an aspire k1 with stock coils with my mix, and its ok. mix is around 2 parts PM to 1 part shatter, and it gets me by. its really the wicking thats the problem i think, it gets dry so fast with these style coils and the substance we are using.

I dunno, maybe I'm wrong but it kinda seems some people think that if your flower is good enough, you can expect one of those crappy old dome vaporisers to perform just as well as a Sublimator.

When I'm finished with this tank, I'll throw a stainless steel coil into the Crown and try it on a 150W device - they're quite large coils with big surface area, a good amount of cotton and 4 decent wicking holes. That'll let me fire it at 8.66v in theory so I'll let you know how well the coils keep up. It'll almost certainly dry hit at some point much earlier though, for science!

FWIW that's the usage Pan's Ink suggests too, although it is far, far cheaper. I actually enjoyed putting a drop or two on some herb that I then vaped in my SSV, added a nice dimension to some otherwise mediocre Headband that I got.

@Baz I've absolutely considered that the coils can't keep up with the oil at higher voltages. At the end of the day none of these tanks are ideal. They are e-cig equipment made for vaporizing nicotine liquid. So all of this is an off label use. I wish a cannabis focused company would design an oil/THC liquid tank from the ground up. These Bud Nano cart's from ebay claim to be wickless and made specifically for thick oil, but I'd have to break the cart to see what the atomizer actually looks like.

@VEGASMMJ Actually I meant to put this in my original post.... I haven't noticed any popping at 3.5-3.8v. I will test again later today and provide any relevant updates.

I went ahead and ordered the nano vape pen with 5 extra carts and a conceal and carry case to keep it hidden easier. Didn't like the cheap nano carts I bought off eBay but I'm hoping these are better. Needed a whole new stealth pen so this one fits my budget. I will update how it goes when I use them. Time to make up some shatter and see how it goes.

Do all of the cc citrus flavors contain d-limonene? Or just the lemon? Anyone got a guess at least? I love the citrusy flavor but I don't want to continue using them in open carts due to the swelling of the plastic choking the wick. It seriously went from performing amazing to not performing at all in a matter of two to three days. Not the end of the world if they do.

I just got the herakles sense hydra tank. It has a 2ml tank(smaller tanks work best for the ratios we mix our juices at IMO), no plastic on the inside of the tank whatsoever so I'm safe from the swelling thing, and they offer standard coils and a temp control option. Solid atomizer in my opinion.

Hello everyone!
It's my first post here, and I think I'll stay here longer!
I'm really, really grateful guys you did this theard. It's like Noah's Ark for entire human race! Really good job!
I'm newbie in vaping. I used to combust goods, but fuck combustion, right?:)
I just received my new mod EVIC, and ordered some chinese, plastic carts from DHgate a la o.pens.
On days EJmix should be at my local postal, so seems everything should be okay.
I've been through all this theard two times, but still have few questions, if you mind.
I'm from Europe, and shatter here isn't that cheap. I would like to start making liqweed with .25 of shatter (is it enough for start?) with .25 of EJmix. Most of people complain that EJmix leaves very nasty after-burn taste. Unfortunately I read about that after ordering EJmix. But there's solution (I don't mean CC:p): diluting eliquid with pure PG (or PEG400?). Plus, I would like to add some flavour.

Can I start making weedjuice with .25 shatter, .25 EJmix, and .25 PG (PEG400?) (ratio 2:1)?
I'm going to make ejuice in shotglass. First, I add EJmix, then when water starts boiling, I add BHO. I wait untill shatter melts, and then start to stir, stir, stir. After 5 minutes of stiring, I take the shotglass outta hot water, and add one drop of flavour, and stir again. Then I put this eliquid straight to atomizer (or putting this instantly isn't good idea?), and wait 20 minutes to avoid burn-taste.

What's better; PG or PEG400 to dilute our juice with EJmix?

Welcome @caro-line

Someone who knows will probably answer your question. I have used 2 parts EJmix to one part concentrate. That works well. In your example, that would be .5 gram EJMix to .25 gram concentrate.
I mix mine in a shot glass. I put the shot glass in a bowl and add almost boiling water, and stir until dissolved: the EJMix label suggests 5 minutes. I don't continually heat the glass, just until melted. I think too much heat is bad.

Today is my 23rd Phishiversary (12/12/92). :D Hiya! I LOVE taking my thc juice pens into concerts! OMG so great. No probs with security, puff all the show, no coughing and hacking, just mellow vapor.

More On Topic:
Since I switched to tanks with dual coil atomizers, I've had a lot less dry hits. I'm not sure they're best suited to many people here because you get bigger hits and therefore go through your juice quicker (so if you mix strong, you'd burn through your concentrate too fast maybe). I like to mix my juice very diluted anyway so it's great for me. I love having a few big pillowy cloud puffs. Also, since switching to glass tanks that you can take apart and remove the atomizer, I find taking out the atomizer half way through the tank and cleaning it (quick soak in ISO or Acetone) makes it hit like a brand newly filled tank (I also clean it every time I fill it). Highly suggested!

@macbill What about EJmix's burnt-taste? Did it appear in your case? Did you use any flavourings while making ejuice with EJmix?
I'm sorry for that much questions, I'm really big newbie in that kind of stuff!

I now use CC, but I only had probs with EJMix/Puff Magic when I loaded large clearomizers with 2.5 or more ml. You are using a top-loading, o.pen-style carts with a max volume of .6 ml. Consider making a very small amount (.3 ml) and give it a try.

I've recently added a mix of decarbed concentrate (a kind of sap) and a few drops of EJMix to thin it out to my regular mixture (.6 CC to 1 gram) still left in K1 clearomizer. So far, so good.
