MiniVAP Vaporizer

Just got the diffuser. Nice piece of work as expected from EHLE. Draw is possibly slightly tighter but the vapour is smoother and cooler. I also feel you call "pull" harder without getting bong water in your mouth.

Hi Minivapsters,

Looking to join the club here, and was wondering on experiences regarding purchases from the manufacturer or other vendors. Any reason one should not buy from online vendors other than the manufacturers website?

Actually it seems that orders direct to the manufacturer are a little bit long....I don't know why...
but I saw the Minivap at a very good price on vaporseller.com, maybe it's not the last version but you can ask for a upgrade in the future (the differences beteween the new version and the previous one are minimal, both are heavy hitters but you need some practice and a nice watertool to get all the potential of this vape).

If taste is really important for you you will be happy with the MV!

I purchased directly from the manufacturer but I was very lucky they actually had everything in stock. I also needed to email them a couple of times to get things moving.
I have had excellent experience buying stuff from a reputable UK dealer (Vapefiend). Always check they really have exactly what you want in stock!

Good decision!

Thanks for the feedback.
The price differences for this vape on different sites is huge. But I do like to get the most recent version without having to send in a newly purchased product again.

Anyone sitting on a coupon code for this vape apart from the FC-deals (<-)?

Not planning to use this with water tools as I have never been accustomed to such. Maybe a future step after getting stung by some more VAS-mosquitoes.

If you don't plan to use it through water you must to know it produces a very irritant vapor (I can't use it dry at higher level than pink) and since it's a pure convection vape you need to take very long draws, at least 10s, to start to get vapor. so without any watertool imo the MV will not a heavy hitter but if taste is all for you and you don't look for the clouds you can like it dry but if you expect to get clouds like in RogerD vids you need a watertool, if you can get this sort of clouds dry you got iron lungs!

Does anyone know what kind of glassware you need exactly?
I've heard from people that those EHLE Bongs azarius.nl sells are great, but (as long as they've got a 14.5mm joint) are those the only things you need to vape through water with the miniVAP?

If you are in Europe the EHLE stuff is great. You can also order directly from the factory. Personally I prefer an 18mm joint as this gives the greatest airflow and flexibility. If you read back a few pages you should be able to find all the info. I went for the Alchemist because it is a relatively small bong that is not too sensitive to being knocked over.

I do still vape directly but it does require a bit of technique. I let the vape hit the tip of my tongue so I can feel the temperature, then I can feel if it is "too" hot. This avoids some of the coughing attacks. It does make me cough but it is also temporary I.e. I cough like hell then it's over. With combustion I used to cough for hours after a big hit. I always vape on the green setting.

Thanks, I live very close by the Azarius store, so that would be the best option for me.
But you say you prefer a 18mm joint, does the MV bowl fit in there as well?
I thought you needed a 14.5mm joint for it to fit.

EDIT: Actually, I have no idea how the MV bowl fits into the bongs, how would you do that so it sticks out and the minivap can be attached?

I prefer to use big bubblers like the Weedstar Mentalist, all the cheap china bubblers (D020, etc...) are too small imo... but all the bongs can be adaptated to be used with the MV

A 14,4mm joint is better but if you have a 18.8mm you just need a reducer with 3cm of tubing (9mmID) to connect your MV to this setup!

Nice people in the store but they do not have a great "voorraad". However they can order anything and get it pretty quick. They even have a minivap in the shop but they are asking silly money for it. Maybe you can convince them to sell it for a normal price.

I have a MFLB whip attachment. You can get them with 14 or 18 mm attachments. I have the 14mm and a 14/18 converter for my bong. If you get a 14 mm bong or and 18mm with a 14/18 converter you can hang the silicon cone directly in the bong and hold the minivap on that (see pictures earlier in thread).
Which way works best for you you will only discover by trying, but the experiments are a lot of fun!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I have seen some videos of decent cloud production outdoors without water tool here:

That seems to be good enough for me.

But if you have any suggestions for a better dry-hitting portable I am all ears..

Hah, yeah I saw that miniVAP they had there in the store. It was really overpriced. But I had an order of 2 months with an internet store for a normal price that finally got shipped today, so I wasn't planning on getting it from them in the first place :).

But the method you are referring to is dont by connecting the minivap to the bong directly with a hose, right? I'm wondering what the pro's and cons are of doing it that way instead of holding the minivap to the bong directly.

I don't use the hose at all, or almost. The second method is more convinient for me and you don't need a flat surface to lay all the gear on.

The hose setup is still cool because it allows a hands free hit sitting on a desktop, but you have to lean to the water piece. I prefer to grab the water piece in a hand, the MV in the other so I don't have to lean in, I can relax, sit back and enjoy.

You can do this. All you then have to do is hold the MiniVap over the basket:

Or you can do this (using the MFLB whip):

Personally the second is my favorite because it is more hands-free.

In the end you will have to decide.

Great, thank you very much for the pictures!
Does the bowl fit onto the bong right away, without having to purchase any accesories? And do I need a certain size of a joint for that?

My bong is 18mm so the silicone cone fits straight in the bong without any extra tube.

I think Roger and PPN have a slightly different setup becuse their bongs/bubblers are 14mm.

Actually you are lucky to have a seal with your 18mm, sometimes the glass is too bulky and without a perfect seal the MV doesn't perform good. So I would avoid buying something that is 18mm female without the 14mm adapter.
It's better to use on a 14mm female, but the naked cone will also fit good and make a great seal on 14 and 18mm male joints. I have pieces with all sorts of joints and it's definitely worth it to get the adapters and a piece of silicone tubing to fit the cone in them.

Hmm, that's a lot of options I have now.
What would be the most convenient in terms of refilling bowls?

Good discussion here! I'm a MV owner, looking to try glass/water.
sdrsh--don't let folks scare you away on the hits directly from MV.
It is supremely flavorful but a little dry. I'm a MJ lightweight, doesn't take much
for me and I've never coughed, but everyone is different. I load up very little herb and vape at
blue, then green, then red (up the temp scale).
I get a little dry feeling but wonderful taste.

I tried a Verdampfer vape/water unit while in Amsterdam and it was great. I probably would have
continued to vape straight , absent trying that vape with water.
So, I'm ready to experiment/try glass/water with the mVap.

FYI, I just bought the MFLB water whip 14 mm, in anticipation of getting glass. Looking at cheap Chinese
or Mobius....
Dr R's beaker style Ehle looks great but tough to get in US.

Damn that D020-D looks reaaally nice, especially for the price you paid. That's an amazing deal you got there. It's a shame you can't get it in Holland.

@MinnBobber , thanks for your seasoned input. Pretty sure this vape will do it for me, and having the option to get into glass/water with a relatively easy-looking setup as posted above and on previous pages seems like a great bonus.

Does anyone know if the charger is usable with 220v and 110v by using a simple voltage converter?
Are units sold in the U.S. (110v) backwards compatible to 220v and vice versa?

wouldn't have thought about this if the vape was 250$ but spending this much on what essentially just produces hot air is somehow making my head spin. Excuse my tentative posts.
