There are two main factors affecting price: 1) a much improved fast battery charger is also planned to be included as part of the overall power kit, and 2) the nature of the custom electronics themselves (high power components are expensive). If we are able to bundle a better fast charger along with the direct (non-battery) desktop adapter, the combined power system would cost somewhere around $50. When bundled with the existing kit, the overall system (everything included) would cost somewhere around $130.chloe said:

Actually, these issues do get discussed. We are planning to have the basic power module be able to operate on multiple (most) national standards. Whether this is comes out this way is still a bit of an open question as it depends on some other (internal design) factors. If the power design does support a 220v standard, it will still be most likely necessary to get a prong adapter.Ben said:

There is no real reason to wait -- the power module will most likely be sold as an optional accessory to start with -- you will be able to get one when they become available and will be able to use the Box in the interim.aero18 said:
Unfortunately, no. The USB standard simply does not provide nearly enough energy to operate the Box, regardless of what electronics are used (its a physics problem, not a design one). I am really excited about this concept...just a few questions:
1) will you be selling the module alone? (without the fast charger?)
2) how long will the cord be? I'm assuming a very long extension cord may hinder the perfomance?
3) will the part that goes into the box fit snugly and also will it get really hot? if so hopefully there's some sort of handle

That is great and all but I dont get it.. The battery issue vs a power cord... I guess you guys must somke a lot and all day... LOL I smoke about 2 to 4 times a week at most so the battery issue is nothing for me... I personally like not having to worry about a cord even in my house as it gives me the freedom to walk around doing whatever while using my LB.. That is one reason I dont think I will get a PD now.. I was thinking about getting a PD but I dont want a cord... I guess I will chang my opinion if I ever get to where I am smoking a lot of hours dailychloe said:

We may be required to sell the power unit without the charger -- not sure yet -- since the negotiations regarding the chargers is ongoing. It will be a few weeks before its all fully settled.chloe said:

Artistic suggestions/images for a company T-shirt are welcomed. We are more of an engineering crew than skilled graphic artists. If someone submits something that would print easily on a black background (not so many colors -- high contrast) that would be ideal. Can I have a go @ the tee shirt design? I'm not a MFB owner, but I would like to be. I can even e-mail you the separations (separates all the colors/tones in art for printing out film for the screen printer) if there is launch box in the deal. Would you guys want an image of the box on it, or more. 
Anyone can participate. If you do not already have a Box, the selected T-shirt design will get a complete Box kit as a gift -- If you have a Box already, we will send either the power module or another Box kit (your choice). We have already been getting T-shirt design submissions via email (Wow!) so you are welcome to jump in with whatever concept/design you think is especially cool. I do tee shirt art for a living, since '86. I can make about anything work on black. Matter of fact, maybe we can work something out, even if I don't win I can separate anybodys full color design to work on black,(more colors cost more, but 3-4 colors should work good 7 color max) I would just email the files to whoever you use to screen print. I'll try to work something up by the end of the week. Thanks

Excellent Item I normally dont write reviews unless I am really excited about a item and the people that make it This is the first Vaporizer I have ever owned or used so I cant really compare to other Vapes but I did a lot of looking, reading and researching before I bought the Magic-Flight Launch Box.. Things I really like about the LB. Very small and stealth, price, easy to use and you can use just about anywhere You are not tied down to a cord or a large unit that you have to sit on a table or a long wand or anything. For example, even just around your house you can slip in your pocket and use whenever you want.. Laying on the couch watching TV, out in the garage working, Sitting on the front porch enjoying the nice weather Sitting on the toilet meditating etc etc.. You see my point.. So easy to use anywhere without that tied down feeling.. And dont even get me started on using the LB outside.. Hiking, long walks, trips to the beach, snowboarding, those boring family reunions, Dave Matthews concerts, and the list goes on and on. Dont get me wrong, the larger home units are good in other areas like for large parties and if you have a lot of people over But overall , you cant beat the price, ease of use, Stealth, and flexibility of the Magic-Flight Launch Box.. And on top of all that, the company that makes this product is top notch people who go out of their way to make sure their customers are happy.. With a lifetime warranty.. Even if YOU break it And if you are one of those heavy all day users and the thought of having to use batteries turns you off, well the Company just announced they are coming out with a AC power cord attachment which will work with all existing and new LBs.. MF...imo, a five foot cord would almost require users to use an extension cord. No big deal, as I'm sure your heavier LB users would welcome the adapter regardless. I don't know how long my PD cord is (7 feet?, maybe), but I am usually wishing it were a couple of feet longer.
