Do you guys think the d020 or this bubbler ( http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-...and-Clear-color-Free-shipping/1511966707.html ) would be good for combustion too?

and has anyone posted or know of any footage of either bubblers in use? (excluding oli, seen that one already lol)

Yes Tepictoton I think a few thread back!

Edit: Last night I exclusively used the Dozo with my EQ, and what a delight!! so smoooooth!(Kinda like the name Dozo, suits that little chunky bubbler)

Its actually kind funny and interesting how impression on a piece varies and changes from one use to the next. Especially and mainly if other pieces have been used in between.

For those of you that have any interest in my Kathy Hu saga.. My two pieces arrived from over there last week (33 days) and the ash catcher was the wrong size. I ordered 14mm, she sent me 18mm. I asked for it to be replaced, she wants the old one returned. Im not going to spend $20.00 to ship a $10.00 piece back to China so I told her to forget it.

Id gladly return it if she sends a prepaid label but thats not going to happen. Just doesnt make sense to send back something that cheap at my expense. Id be better off just ordering another one.

Maybe so.. Im afraid an adapter may put it too far out and it tip the base of the bong. These is a stout little piece of glass. Maybe I can get by a local shop today and pick up an adapter since Im stuck with this thing.
Err, lowpro means low profile. Since it's 18mm the 14mm ground glass fits inside of it, so there's only a few mm height added.

Yes a low pro adaptor is the way to go...

The blue honeycomb is really small. Prefer to use it for dabbing now. Think for combustion it might be too small. I personally think it is to small to vape out of with my cloud.

If only the inline to honeycomb would be a bit bigger...I think the inline might take the chug out of it....?

I have read a few post by now but still can't understand how do you differentiate oil rigs to flower!

What are the criterias?

Why is it too small for the cloud?

I just d not like the cloud being up in my face like that...also, one way or the other, I personally seem to prefer to have glass that I can see filling up and then 'milk' it, which with this size of a piece simply does not work out very well. It is however a perfect size for dabs if you ask me...

Edit: forgot to say, tried taking picture with the cloud on top, but the piece is then out of balance and tips over...so that to me is a big nono...would probably pair great with a solo...

I use it with my cloud and totally love it! But I love small pieces, so it's perfect for me. The only bad part is the balance :(

Usually whatever joint the put on differentiates it. Female gong and it's for flowers since almost all the slides are male. If it has male joint it's meant for dabbing, the nail sits on the joint and the dome has a female joint. That's about the only criteria there is for me, a flower/oil piece can be made to do the other with an adapter.

Agreed, that's the info I knew of, but often people will say, nice piece but better for oil for ex, but I never get it why exactly?

Oooh, okay. Yeah usually small pieces are "better" for oils because of less water needed and smaller size in general. Less water and diffusion is well-liked for oils because there isn't much to filter out from vaping oil. Too much water/diffusion can strip the taste from your oil.

Right on Quetz! I've been using the infamous and the mini hc bong. Had just a piece of ice laying on top of the hc perc and just a splash of water below(so no stackage at all) but I got a great taste and smack you n your head high!

The blue honeycomb is really small.

When I receive it, it will be my largest piece. I have the infamous, mini hc tube, PNWT and D020 like @b0 I dig the little dudes!

Hey PM,sorry to hear the Wu vendor screwed up the order, it has happened to me as well and what I may suggest,

heres the said guarantee on the site:

Refund or Keep

items not as described

You can get a full refund if your item is significantly different from the seller's description

or

*You can choose a partial refund and keep the product.

sounds as if the item you rec'd is not of what you ordered and I think if you contact A.E. you might find a solution. Kathy has worked thru the few mistakes that were created by her outfit and she made good on them in the past.Im surprised she didnt offer you a full refund with your re-order of the item you wanted.Thats what she has done in the past with my situation w/her.You may want to ask, cant hurt, or you can do as like and chalk it up as a loss. IDK I would try to get her to recognize her mistake and ask her about the above guarantee and then choose either a full or partial refund, but I do believe its part of the bennys of doing biz w/A.E. Besides in all honesty using the bushing type low-pro reducer works like a charm on the 18mm import f/m joints I have, really shouldnt stop ya from the end result of you getting baked thru your rig with out a problem:leaf::cheers::leaf:

Maybe it's too much work, but for comparison's sake, it would be nice to know the internal volume of a piece. Maybe fill it up completely with water and then dump and measure?

There are I guess 5-6 bubblers discussed most on this thread, and I think it would be helpful to know this about each. It's too bad such info isn't standard for blowers/manufacturers for such smoking devices - all us stoners would appreciate it I think when trying to shop for glass.

Lol that HC - its one perc with various end pieces, mouthpieces, and bases, so it can be marketed as 5 different items. Gooseneck and upright female GG is my favorite config. Can you fit a little diffuser downstem on that thing? Like one of these shorties?

1 liter of water could be the unit of measure?

Ratio and Proportion Factor?

200 / 1000 = X
300 / 1000 = X

Then besides volume metric measurement you have restricted Air Flow:
"Shower Head verses Frit for example"!

Just thinking out loud!

Out loud is where it's at. I hadn't considered your idea, I think partially because I dropped out of college too soon to know how to measure that kind of thing... but hell yeah.

Info that every water piece should have imo:
(Total Internal Volume of piece) - (Volume of water for efficient percolation) = (Usable Air Volume)

I'd trade existing HxWxD spec info for cubic centimeters in a heartbeat!
When I lived in FRANCE I used metric. Now I use both Standard and Metric. For measurement I prefer metric.

Overall volume of a piece isn't really relevant when some will need a few inches of water while others will only need a slash depending on the perc design. Bore size is going to be another big factor to consider. Let's say you have a can that is 4cm interior bore with a height of 30cm, that's gives you a total volume of 377 cu.cm, in order to have the same volume from a 6cm bore piece, it would only be about 13.5 cm tall. Now let's say both pieces have the exact same perc and both need to be filled to the same height of 3 cm. That would leave you an effective milking volume of 339 cu.cm for the taller thinner piece and 297 cu.cm for the shorter squatter piece. That's a difference of 40 cu.cm of milking volume from 2 pieces with the same perc and same total volume.
I think HxWxD along with bore size are more important then overall volume when trying to pick apiece. Also, glass pipes are all still handmade which means that there will be differences piece to piece for the same design. Even high quality American made glass like mobius can have inch+ differences so when you start looking at Chinese glass without qc standards, the differences can be significant.

Sorry if this is off topic, but does anyone know any details on this bong and know of a wholesaler selling it for cheap?

https://www.ioffer.com/i/13-tall-5mm-thick-double-green-honeycomb-cyclone-bong-562389044

I am seeing his exact same bong on many shopify (thick-glass, max quality glass etc) websites and on ioffer. Usually when you notice this they are just middle manning china glass. If anyone knows any distribters of this bong for cheap please let me know!

I went on iOffer today and bought one of those do20 bubblers for my son. I'm not sure of I bought it though, lol. I have an account there, but I don't think my card was charged and it said something about going to DHGate to purchase.

I hear ya but from my walks around most of the import mkts,I havent seen those particular rigs for less(double H/C TO CYCLONE) for under 100 bucks,IIRC I think he wants 104 and change,no?I'd jump on one for 50 bucks but not common. There are few posters who might have purchased rigs from them with good results. Pipes Daddy has something similar for under $80 http://www.pipesdaddy.com/Bent-2-Honeycomb-Glass-Water-Pipe-p/wp-0200-0001.htm you may like that one, both are decent rigs,I dont know the true specifics, but what is presented to me on both sites looks good.I personally would go the less expensive route ,but thats just me,YMMV :leaf:

Its hard to describe the the 18mm piece isnt like the 14mm piece. It moves it out and cocks the ash catcher to one side. Its also REALLY beefy.. it adds a lot of girth. I have a huge, double perk bong thats like 2 feet tall.. it would be great with that. for my Syn 14mm beaker, its too much weight. I did buy a lo-pro adapter today and if you look at the bong wrong, it starts to tip over.
