My new Jyarz came in today!

So, I have a question,, @JyARz - one of them (just one!) had a little card in it about the latex smell, and that one had a rather tan colored cap cushion. All the rest were just the plain white cushions.

Understand, I have no concerns about either type - I just want to know, was that one at the END of one type, beginning of new, or was that one the sneak peak at the NEW? :)

Thanks! I'm sure I'll have these filled soon...

Enchantre,

The one with the card in it was one of the last of the latex gasket versions, thus the card and latex warning. The other JyAR you received has the Buna-N cap gaskets. Same performance as the Latex but without the strong (to some) latex odor.

Make sense?

I got mine today, although they arrived Saturday (that was fast!).

I was wondering the exact thing about why only one had that notice in it. Thanks for the info.

I got some for me, and a few to give out to friends. But they only get one each, so they can be customers when they get hooked and need more.
:)

They seem really great. The only even slightly negative thing I could say, was I hadn't seen any in person, and I was expecting them to be bigger. But I believe they said newer larger models were coming out this year, so I'll pick up more then!

Thanks for the great offer and the contests!

Confirmed. Larger sizes coming in the Spring, shooting for April '14 time frame. And JyARz perform very well due to the effectiveness of their seals and light blocking characteristics. As such, you can "pre-grind" drop it in your JyAR and it will stay fresh and moist for a very long time. Try it..you'll like it. So they look little but they can pack quite a bit of product.

Thank you for your support and let me know if you have questions/issues.

Always in a state of confusion and silliness♀
I didn't want this in the haiku thread as it would have gotten lost. I had a big problem with one of my jyarz last night. They work and so thereby if you don't open them and burb them you will end up with mold. I just avoided it but it was close. I went through all of them yesterday and used an ssv pick to poke holes in the herb and lift and turn as best I could.

Jyarz work people cause my herb is as moist as the day I put it in. I have a lot of jyarz so some has been sitting for a while. If you read this thread you also know I stuff 7 grams in by packing it down. That is only now going to happen if I know that strain will go in a few weeks. That keeps way to much of the moisture in. The tiny bit of air that stayed in that jyarz was not good. It was a strain that has a sour smell to begin with but it dawned on me mold is possible hence the mixing.

If anyone had any questions if these things were air tight this is the proof. I LOVE:love: my jyarz.

Damn @JyARz you guys are on top of things! I already received the 2 greens I ordered in the Bogo:rockon:

Really like the green and definitely love the new gaskets, no smell at all! But I gave one to the coworker who I gave my EQ and he loves his new jyarz. These things are great, I scared him by throwing it at him across our concrete warehouse haha. Then to prove a point I started tossing one of my older ones about 10 feet in the air and let them slam on concrete. Wow hardly even a ding on the plastic after about 5 tosses.

Anywho the other one is getting sent out to a member today, gotta wait for the full spectrum to arrive before I can enjoy a new one myself. Thanks again jyarz:bowdown:

Now if only it wasn't a federal offense for me to toss a couple nugs in the ones I send out...

Weird, I know I replied to this earlier. We've been swamped and I'm crazed so maybe I didn't hit "Post Reply".

Just in case....The gasket with the little card is made of latex. Some people didn't like the smell of latex and they perceived that it was effecting the odor of the JyAR contents. So we switched to Buna-N (Nutrile) rubber. It is both FDA approved food safe and more resilient than latex and doesn't have that latex smell. For most people it won't matter but for those with a superior olfactory system this change has been a plus. There are still a few (like two) people that don't like the Buna-N either. Someday, when I find a source we may switch to Teflon coated silicone...still very hard to come by and Im not sure I'm keen on Teflon coated anything...we'll see.

Can you tell us the size yet, or is that still secret/not-decided?
:)

Oh sure, the larger size holds three liquid ounces - it's 3 x the current size. It has a wider mouth so you can teach into it and it's about 2 inches tall (the glass itself. And the glass is significantly thicker. It will come in Red, Black, Orange and Green.

I'm waiting on my patent guy to allow me to post pictures of prototypes .... Soon hopefully.

I chose this size because it's fairly standard at most dope sardines and easily holds an 1/8 in flower/bud form. Eventually I hope to develop a closed loop system for dispensaries that will be both less expensive, more environmentally friendly and function much better than today's glass jars with simple pressure for lids.

Now we are talking!! Everything is ready but the steel and I'm told that will be done in April ready for production. I post updates to the JyARz thread and we have a mailing list (see bottom of noir homepage on JyARZ.com) if you'd like emailed updates.

For ground bud these things would hold a ton! I only have one about 1/5 full since I usually grind up a few days worth at a time. But I have noticed a drop in the smell in my room (not completely gone since I have all that vaped up glass, etc.) and it has already survived a fall without concern. My old container would pop open and spill everywhere with a fall like that...thank you JyARzman! I feel like I have top of the line storage now with the c-vault for unground weight and these jyarz for ground bud and travel!

Quick question...mine have the new seal and the smell is unusual to me. What's the best way to rid of it, just let it sit open for a while? Thanks!

Just got my JyARZ in the mail! I love them so far, the only complaint is that I had put in the comments if I could get a blue one as my free one, but just received 2 black ones. Now I am wishing I would have ordered some green and blue. I also had ordered 2 glass inserts and received 2 free extra ones! Awesome product! Thanks for the deal. :)

Wow. I need a vacation! Dope Sardines is Steve Job's version of whatever I wrote for Dispensaries! I think I might be a better product developer than an grammarian!
or maybe iphones need "dispensaries" added to the standard built-in dictionary!

:D @JyARz

Thanks jyarz:rockon:!!! Love the new rainbow I received. So far I've shipped only one to a fellow FCer, and one more ships today. Still a few unspoken for if any members wants to try their first jyarz on the house?

Pm me if you don't own but but want to try.

Go hawks!!!!:)

I can attest to the fact that you can keep preground bud in the Jyarz for a retardedly long time with little degradation of smell, moisture, or potency. I went 2 months once and the bud was just as good as I remembered it to be.

@JyARz is the release date for the concentrate containers the same as the large containers?

Mad props to @sasNW who sent me one of his green JyARz (he has mad karma now for such selflessness), very impressed with the construction quality of this container. Going to test drive it on a trip at the end of this week. It feels like I could drive a semi over it and it would survive, no I'm not going to try that and I'm probably wrong, but it is very solid feeling.

Thanks @Mister G just trying to spread the fc love and help out anyone who hasn't tried these awesome stash jars. These things really do feel indestructible, I've tossed one in the air so many times in our cement warehouse. Just to prove the point to a coworker I gave one to. Up to about 10 feet, it does have a very slight ding in the cap now.... Awesome:nod:

And just a heads up I shipped out 2 more today... Only a pink one left if anyone wants it to start

I use a tightvac container, its bloody epic, super easy to open and close and once closed the bud is in a jar with actual negative air pressure, this keeps all the smells inside, and keeps the bud super fresh. You can buy sold black ones so the light stays out also.

I cant beleive how long i used shitty recycled jam jars or ziplock bags to store my weed, this container for 15$ is all ill ever need. These jarzy look good and in no way am i trying to shit on them, i just want to tell people about the tightvac with out making another thread.

You can buy huge ones too if you roll that hard, or micro ones or medium ones, mine stores about a half once, seriously awesome, check them out!

I used a tightvac daily for about a week before the vac seal started losing pressure... The lhs said its a very common problem. And they are all plastic... Not trying to shit on your tightvac comments, I just prefer jyarz hands down:bowdown:

Personally i try to keep my meds stored in glass as much as possible. Plus I have yet to see a jyarz thread leak my buddy goodness;)
