well I mainly wanted it for oil but the more in reading about it I see its perfect for honey bud. How would I knows what size to make the coil versus the consistancy of my oil

Here's the deal, how religious a user are you? Are you willing to keep up maintenance as well as actively troubleshoot 2-3 times a week (even more if you use it as your main)? What kind of experience are you looking for?

You have to consider that the Hercules is considered high-tier not only for it's performance but for it's demands. A lot of people like to say it's like a super-car, and in going with that analogy, if you're fine with getting an oil change after 3-4 drives out, then it's the car for you.

Now, if you're looking for an easy, load as you go experience, you probably don't want the Herc. It takes someone with enormous patience and dedication, and even then, you still might not be able to pull it off.

edit:
Also, a lot of your questions have been answered time and again, hence most people's annoyance with having to answer them. The Core, Oil Slick Pads, the K.I.S.S carts, you can find info on each within the last 15 pages. Most people in this thread have read it in it's entirety, you want to do the same. And then when you have, you'll see why everyone recommends new people to the search bar.

well I medicate atleast 4 times a day, so I would consider myself experienced. I have the pax so I'm used to cleaning thatbabout 2 times a week. I might start out with the bender/hammer combo and maybe the k.i.s.s. Cart at first andove on to the herc? Does that seem like a decent idea/transition

Definitely. Don't start with a Hercules.

In terms of experience / dedication, I don't mean with meds, I mean with these W9 devices, Bender and Hercules in particular. You have to learn this thing, and there are little nuances that can be detrimental to user experience. I almost never hear of someone who is completely happy with the Bender from first go. Don't get me wrong, it's reported to have the best flavor of any portable herb so far, but I'm just saying, as long as you're okay with a higher difficulty of use, and acknowledge that you might go through a bunch of weed and battery charges before you get it working how you like, then it's the device for you.

It'd be even more helpful if you had someone in your area who owns the devices and is savvy in their use. It's hard to baseline performance when you're just starting out.

I honestly don't know of anyone around here that would have it, head shops round here only carrybtraditional desktop vapes. From what I saw on YouTube its not too difficult to get the bender to produce a good ammount of vapor, just takes patience

Practice, too. Every 20-40 pages we have a new Bender user coming in asking for tips because they can't get it working like how they see it being done on YT. I really want to instill in you that these devices aren't pick up and go. They aren't that friendly and they take time to get to know.

Go with a K.I.S.S cart for oil and that should be the easiest experience available.
In terms of Herb, I can honestly see you sticking with the PAX for ease of use and going Bender only when you have the luxury of lots of bud and lots of time.

I generally use the pax while out and about but I'm honestly getting bored with it, I wanted something new and versital, something that doesn't just do herbs but both wax /oils and herbs

There isn't an all-in-one portable out there yet. I mean, you have Hercules and the Cera which are the closest, but with Cera that means buying additional cores (herb, oil, and glycerin specific), and with Hercules, well... good luck getting Herb working better than the Pax.

I think you should go with a desktop, man. You can do both oil and herb through quite a few of the big name models.

I am def not interested in desktops at all. I want something that I can bring with me where ever I may go

If you like your Pax and are fine with it on the go then a Bender would be fun to play with. Just don't expect it to work without some trial and error. Also its not the greatest as a portable device. Id keep it for at home use.

If you want something better than your pax which is also portable and can do concentrate try the Arizer Solo.

The Hercules works tits for concentrates but is only okay at doing herb... so theres that too. That being said I dont have many issues with my SR71. I had issues when I first got it but after W9 swapped my unit out I havent had a problem that wasnt due to user error.

I sent you a PM.

Make me some keif!
All Kidding aside let me say this about the BENDER:

I use the BENDER more than most.
Issues?
I personally do not have any difficulty with it.
Pretty basic really.
I stir between rips.
Spare Batteries for more than one session.
I can't even finish a bowl with the BENDER.
Maybe my love for it is because it will F^ck you up!
Taste is too my liking. (important to stir)
You can't be lazy like with the SOLO.
It's not a daily driver.
Complete Opulence!

Not for JERRY SPRINGER FANS!

Sorry my humor is harmless! (really)

You say your experienced?
JIMMY HENDRICKS asked that in a song once!

see thats what i thought, idk why people think its such a difficult thing to dial a device in, all you need is patience. the only bad thing i see about it is the battery life, you hardly can make it through a full session with it right?

I also noticed the herc's being brought down by 30 bucks. Is this a sale or a new lower permanent price? I feel a little taken advantage of though since I JUST ordered a SECOND herc and a nibbler xl a week ago at the higher price. Had I known I could save 30 bucks, which isn't a small amount of money (would have bought me a kiss cart, or I could have put it towards a core) when the total is 130. I was thinking of purchasing a core soon, if this price will be good through Thursday, I will possibly order one then since I do get paid Thursday! G, whats the reason for the price drop? I dont feel its fair to all of us who have purchased multiple persei's and hercs already........

On another subject, I dont feel the persei/herc combo is near as difficult as people make it out to be. If you sinmply follow the included instructions to the letter, you should not have any issues. The only thing that I wish I had known that is not mentioned anywhere but this thread was cutting the coil. That was what made all the difference in the world in my case. I will admit, it can be a pain to use, but it can also be a great pleasure to use. I think as long as you are willing to work out any issues you do come across and not just get frustrated and quit youll be fine. I think we might be scaring people away form getting one of these great things with all this negative talk about how hard they are to use. I dont personally think it's that difficult.

I went all in on my first W9 purchase. Went with Persei/Herc, never looked back. I could not freaking imagine what it would take to make me leave her for another. :2c:

I would say this is a great example of how to react so that a company doesn't want to help you out.

is it possible to put an SS kit tube onto the Persei tube to fit 2 tall 3.7v batteries?
it would look like a big Mag-light

also what do u mean when you say troubleshoot?

Troubleshooting / Maintenance / Learning Curve is for the Hercules. Bender it's just a Learning Curve, once you have that down you shouldn't see much trouble. You don't need to clean a Bender as much as you will a Herc. What you'll need to know about the Bender are heating times, when to hit, how much to pack. Follow @ataxian's advice.

Like I said, just be ready for the learning curve with Bender, don't come in surprised if it isn't as easy as it looked.

I use the BENDER more than most.

Pretty basic really.

Do you mean you use the Bender more than most people, or you use the Bender most out of all your vaporizers? I thought you said you only use it on special occasions / when you have full leisure time?

While we're here, how much Herb do you put in the Bender for one session?

Been jealous of you since you started making wax, man. Good timing, too, so many places around your area have closed.

Has anybody seen that new Vapes Titan setup? Saw one today at the LHS. The base is twin 16350's and seems to be a vmod. Also, the big cart looks like someone followed the SR-71 design with a center ceramic rod inside a similar tube. Its for herbs though I think. A cart like the KISS is for EO.
Hum, a copy???
