Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

I was an early purchaser of the original unit, one of the first few hundred.

I have had a dead unit for half a year or longer and was told at the time of support ticket creation, which was right before the warranty was about to end, that I couldn't get the unit serviced because they stopped servicing the original model and were getting ready to move buildings and to just wait for further instruction on swapping it out for the new model to remedy the several bad cloud's I have had in the past year and a half.

Many months later now. I haven't heard back and I happened upon this thread.

Am I supposed to be doing anything? This has been a pretty rocky ride for a pretty pricey product. I am just looking for a working unit...

My clicker has been dead for about 5 months.... it died right at the end of its warranty. It actually still works, it just heats up, turns green for a minute, then turns red and just keeps on heating. You can turn the knob up to get the green back but once it heats past where the knob is, it turns red again.

SM told me to hang on to mine until after the Evo ships and I am hoping at that point we can work something out. I was a contributor to the fund raising campaign so hopefully my days of being Cloud-less are about to come to an end.

FWIW, Ive always found SM to be a pretty reasonable guy.. I wish all the vape guys were as legit.

They have stated they will work with non-indiegogo units under warranty after the EVO ships etc...

Basically they need to get the Evos out the door and get that up and running to survive. Once they establish the working business, they said they will then be able to work on honoring warranties etc... If they did that first, before shipping out the Evos, everyone would lose as there would be no Evos, no VXL and no possible future help for OG cloud owners.

But that's just what I understand to be the case after jumping into a 700+ page thread midway :myday:

I couldn't've picked a better time to take a tolerance break. It's really helping me be patient (pre-ordered).

How medicated am I gonna get when I hit my EVO for the first time? :)?? :p?? :ko:?? :haw:?? :whoa:????

It's gonna be quite an experience I'm sure.

I plan on recording my 1st hit and sharing it with y'all on here. Can't wait to officially join the fam!

as of now, no. you are good. just sit tight. my original ticker is in the same boat as yours. mine stopped working about 6 months after I got it. And I have been cloudless since Oct of last year.

as another member said. once the evo's have been delt with then they can focus on fixing, our old units.

A question for the brain, Is it a harder wait to have had a cloud now broken while you wait, or to have never tired a cloud at all and your waiting for your first taste?

Tis better to have clouded and lost than never to have clouded before.

At least I think that's what Tennyson meant to say.
I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with Richy. Having been in both situations, I can say that for me, waiting for a replacement was much harder.

Before I'd ever tried the Cloud, I literally didn't know what I was missing. So it wasn't that big of a deal. Having used one for a while, the wait for replacement was brutal.

Was the Cloud that big of a step up for you? What was your main driver prior to it?

Just curious because I remember Stickstones saying something like that awhile back. Like he'd thought his current vape was just as good as it got, but the Cloud was THAT much better.

If I remember correctly (big disclaimer) I was mostly using the UD and probably the CRZ, Vapo2 and Gnome at about the same time. PD hits were a nightly ritual as well. Solo was in constant rotation too now that I think about it.....

I'm sorry, what was the question again?

"I know many of you might be asking, what was the Beta testing period about then? Well, to be honest, we’ve had our fair share of issues in the past and we know that this is the most CRITICAL time in the history of this company. We need to execute this portion of our business as flawlessly as possible so please bear with us over the next few weeks.

We are extremely excited to finally get the Cloud EVO into the hands of our generous contributors and look forward to your feedback."

Channeling the spirit of Sherlock Holmes, I deduce from this sentence:
I know many of you might be asking, what was the Beta testing period about then?
That the beta testing has ended!

Any cool reports? Does it put you to sleep better than the last one? How's that warmup time...

My feedback is: give me teasers! :D

It was for me and my daily driver at the time was the SSV. I rarely used the SSV after I got the Cloud and finally traded it. The Cloud converted me to water filtration, so I eventually got an LSV as a backup for my Cloud, which now comes out when I am bored.

so this cloud isnt up and out yet?

seems its been years already.

If I pre order on the vapeexhalle website, is there a time table that one would get the vape in ones hands? It says that orders ship in November, yet it doesnt say how many have pre ordered, or how long that whole process is going to take in order to take non pre orders as well.

Im sure youll understand from many other members experiences why I may not want to jump in the pre order pool .

Id be interested to hear how many clouds can be manufactured in one day, and then see how many orders they already have backed up, and then see how long it's going to take for them to catch up to with those and then take regular orders.....that info would be nice imho, being that weve waited for a long time here, some of you seem like die hard customers, and you shouldnt wait in vain imo, not saying thats giong to happen, but hey im a realist sometimes

Is there any obvious reason why I haven't seen any videos of people putting a cork with air line from a pump into the bottom of the cloud to make it auto-vape? Seems simple enough, got my herbalaire pump, a cork and some tube....

OK, couple of things. For everyone asking about the performance of the Cloud, it truly will change your way of thinking about vaping. Mine was one of the first "ticker" models. Before that I used an Extreme Q, which I thought was awesome, but the Cloud killed in in every way. I have/had Hot Box, PD, UD, Solo, MFLB, Pax, HA. Right now I'm using my Solo as my daily and I love it. But, it's not a Cloud. The Cloud is about taste and vapor thickness, IMO

Now, I guess I didn't realize that my dead Cloud can be fixed later or returned for $50. Is that correct? I'm surprised I missed that, but I do have a bunch of shit going on. I guess I'll wait until after the EVO launch and get in touch with SM...

Game 6 tonight... Go Sox! (Sorry, had to add that!)

No if you traded in warranty on old cloud is invalid, so no fixing! But can send in for $50. Is the way I see it, sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
