Im thinking to get a scratch awl and jam it in each of the four holes. I think it will increase the size of the hole a little too.

It's yours, by all means do what you think best.

I'd be a little careful with the "jam it in each of the four holes" part, the assembly is held together with furnace cement, which can be brittle.

Being Stainless Steel (and fairly thick) I would not expect to open up the holes without a lot of force, nor would I expect lots of improvement from doing so. If it was a good idea, I be Arizer would have made the holes bigger.....they're sure to have tried it.

Your call. Good luck.

I'm in the Bay Area, and I'm praying that you get better tracking info than I do. Somehow it's going to take 6 days to ship from LA to the Bay, simply :mental:

Yeah, that's quite lengthy...however I did find my tracking just now and it says it's estimated to arrive on 09/14 Sat. I saw that others are looking at Monday the 16th so I'm feeling pretty good right now.

Hey guys, throwing an update or two out here for your viewing pleasure. I have heard about the PA getting very hot while driving and using. This is due to the car voltage going from 12 to 15 or so volts while the engine is running. The solution has been to affix the step down unit to a vent to keep it from getting too hot. Have to mention the internal thermo protection of the device would prevent any extreme heat and simply shut down until it cools. Also, the unit only heats while the Solo heater is on and cools rapidly. I have not had any complaints but this has been bothering me so.....

For any future orders I will be including this tri-function device which acts as external heat sink/shield/hanger for the step down unit. Otherwise know as a "Fold Back Binder 2" wide 1" max". Under a buck and ends up being a common size.

I have found that this orientation works best with the hot side facing the rear. Increases the heat dissipation area substantially.

This clip can be used in many different configurations for attaching to automotive venting. For the enthusiast, I suppose a hole could be drill in the rear of the clip to mount it to some frame somewhere. The side squeeze bars can be removed if need be as well.

Also, in keeping in the FC spirit, I will be including a complimentary O ring with each order as well.
Since one fits nicely as a spare in my next project which is getting closer all the time. Going to have another, "how is that done" show. Not too far off.

And just to add that for anyone who has already ordered an AIO will be getting a very special price if they have an interest.;)

I think that's it.:\

Excellent fix pipes and very honorable as well for finding an issue yourself and telling the customers.
Fav tools in my book binder clips although I don't use often, velcro and more velcro, since I am not a guy I don't like duct tape lol so I bought pink duct tape.

So I got that Enercell setup that was recommended from RadioShack. Is that supposed to be a long lasting thing? I got it probably 3 weeks or so ago, and mine's not charging the Solo anymore. It makes a high pitched squeek when it's plugged in, too. When I plug the plug into the Solo it lights up like it's going to start charging, only the green charge light doesn't come on.

FP did you read at alllllllllllllllllllllll....I am being serious because from what you are saying you are complaining about a new solo issue which is all normal. I also believe I have said that already that it will loosen up as well as others. If you read at all you would have gotten some tips and tricks like lifting the stem a mm or 2.
I had used the solo at least 200 times before this started happening. My understanding is that a "broken in" solo would have more airflow than a new one, where in my case, the solo which worked well before, now will only work if you fiddle around with the position of the stem and get it just right.

I have read this thread from page 680 onwards, sorry if I missed something.

If you read everything and listened to what members said in the last few pages, if it was me and I said this the other day, just exchange it. Why are you torturing yourself when you have a warranty and for whatever reason we can't diagnose the issue? If you do that please follow up and let us know what was wrong with it so if it happens to someone else we know. If you have used it 200 times I would guess you know what to expect and feel now it is clogged.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I can fill a 300 ml bong over 16 times with good herb so after 6 hits then there is lots left no problem tho just save you abv and eat it or tern it to oil

as,
Nice , can you give a few more details ?
It will fit inside the chamber , so the herb doesn't touch the SS ?
Is it going to be a round tub shape ?
Like an inside cap before loading it into the heating chamber ?

So I made up a few tiny, glass oil jars for the Solo and am pretty happy with the result. The design needs to be refined so that tipping over is absolutely impossible while leaving room for the stem, but operation Solo Oil Jar is go.

Depends on quality of herbs but just hit it till it stops giving vapor. The solo is easy to use!
This is the best answer for you, I have had bud that lasted for at least 20 hits out of my solo and other that I was lucky to get 5 out of. Even with high quality bud it can still be a huge difference from one stain to another, not all strains will vape well but most will.

hey hey. f-bomb is the perfect tool imo with solo, very few instruments, great results. I make it with pvhes stem with small part of tube to seal at 14mm joint. Splendid.

Ok,, here is my complete setup, it includes the 3D printed stand, and Ed's Black wood stem.

The 3D stand is to nice and does not fit in side the hole of the accessory stand, so I'm using that to hold my grinder on top, and the ABV.

And for stealth it's all covered with a Tissue box cover of a Rubik's Cube (as seen on the Big Bang).

Any questions, feel free to ask.

JoeKickass, I'm 51, I'm too old to really worry about stealth...

I really don't worry about the smell in my house vapor does not stick like smoke. this is by my bed... Oh and actually, I cover the abc can with my chrome grinder. I forgot to include it in the picture...

I just use the rubik's cube to be a bit discreet with my 20+ year old kids. Ironically, one of them has bongs and stuff in his room... we sort of not talk about it.... but I don't want my setup plainly visible... that's all.

Hey this is my 100th post... Woohoo!

did you make sure you didn't bump the switch for what voltage it is set to? mine is still going strong, I haven't had any issues with it at all. if you didn't bump the switch I would take it back to radio shack, have them test if it is blown, of course they may not have any idea how to test it because IME most RS employees would be better suited flipping burgers (that isn't a shot at the employees but the company that dumps them into a position where they are selling electronics without proper training)
