Arizer Solo

Yea I'm regretting the MassDrop purchase too. They charged me a day early, put the order with Ariza through a day late and apparently they're still waiting for it to be shipped out. Furthermore, Mark (one of their reps) was incredibly patronizing when I emailed them with my concerns. I should've just bit the bullet and paid a few extra bux for the decent service of eBay/Puffitup/Planet Vape.

You said it eln00b... live and learn :)

MFLB was my first Vape..Didn't do much for me..in fact I had completely written off vaping coz of MFLB, this was ,till I tried my friends' Solo...
Third hit on it and I was like WTF, such awe some taste and a huge cloud , which i could never achieve with MFLB..
I have 1 gathering dust, and I wI'll send it Toronto with a friend, by November.. So anyone want it for ffree can jus pik it up from her..
I get thunderclouds from my MFLB with the PA.

I must admit, when I first tried the MFLB, I was underwhelmed. I took one home, and now I can't let go. I had a DV which cooks the load similarly to the Solo. They are good for what it's worth but, I would go back to the MFLB if you ever feel like mastering something different. It's a vape that requires a lot of technique and that may be off-putting for others.

Well shoot, I just put in for the Firewood. :\ I hope it's not that bad.

My Solo has been keeping me very happy. The o-rings really do make this thing great, I love being able to have a sesh without worrying about the stem fall out. They also work awesome to fit my 14mm PVGonG into my 18mm infamous, much better than the chunky piece of tubing that a got from Deadshort a while back.

I'll be happy if I get mine this week at least, still waiting on my first vaporizer. Shoot, in a month I'll have the Cloud EVO and the Solo....shortly after I'll be in a "happy place". In the clouds, never to climb down.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'plumber's tubing'? Like for Domestic Water? Sorry, no way.

Vapes mean 400F, sometimes a mite more. You need high temperature stuff. That reduces you to a couple of options, probably the best is silicone. This is what I usually use:

There are other types, but this stuff is softer and more pliable.

Best wishes

Where would i find that in-store? Ill edit this post with a picture of the tubing, it looks like other's tubing but as you pointed out, it could be designed for water. What i mean by plumbers tubing is just that it was in the plumbers section

Shorty 14mm Stem / F-bomb finally arrived and was put to the test. Nice lil bubbler, the solo heater can get overwhelmed, I drew some nice smooth clouds with the short load of flowers. Concern: cleaning.

Bow just ask them for the temp rating if it is local and if they don't know it they can call and find out. You might get lucky.
@HSIHP it costs ten bucks for a reducer and I have read on here that local headshops carry them. If not add it to your next order.

Has anyone received their Solo from Massdrop yet (that ordered one)?

Arizer didn't want to handle shipments directly, so Massdrop is shipping it out themselves. That pushes back our ETA. You can follow the discussion here.

The order is currently "enroute to Massdrop fulfillment center". AFAIK they're expecting it tomorrow and will start shipping out immediately.

They "submitted the order to Arizer 24 hours after the group buy ended", as appears to be their policy when there's payments that didn't go through.

We've been waiting for Arizer so far -- not Massdrop.

I'm not particularly a fan of either (still new), but there you go.

You're right, if the bulk of the blame lies anywhere thus far, it's with Arizer. I'll hold off on any more criticism until the thing arrives (and I'll be very happy if that's soon).

I believe my response appropriately spoke to your assertion that the MFLB is generally favored by the younger crowd, whereas the Solo is generally favored by the older and perhaps more seasoned. Though you qualified your statement by adding emphasis to the word "most", I still detected a line being drawn in the sand, albeit somewhat blurred. And that's fine, no problem at all with that. Even though I didn't agree with your statement that the MFLB "is all hype" as featured on FC, I respect/ed your perspective and thought enough of it to dovetail it with my own perspective. If, as you said, "to each his own" spoke to your open-mindedness, than my comment should not have been taken as a correction, but rather an extension of a welcomed conversation. Let's have fun and enjoy the rest of the show!
:popcorn::cheers:

No worries sir, although I did not know my comment about the mflb would get this much attention. Often times I type things and in my head the words make more sense than they do to to the reader (haha I fully blame it on da buddha).

For anyone looking for a cheap solo if you are ok with an authorized eBay seller, search for the seller myrubberneck on eBay. I bought my extreme q from her years ago and never had an issue. I wish I would have checked to see if they were still selling arizer products before I got mine. $129.99 free shipping

Looks like they started their own little site now. http://www.myrubberneck.com/arsopopovasi.html
In my personal dealings with myrubberneck I've found them to be disreputable and unsavory. If you want to order and pay for something and not have it arrive your chances are excellent ordering it from myrubberneck. Their prices may be cheap but you get what you pay for, crappy service and the old bait and switch!

I'm not doubting yours Pappy , but i had no problem. I did order from them, tracking# was correct and it arrived on time. Post office was late, but that wasn't their fault. I registered it immediately with Arizer and got this reply

I never bothered doing the reg since I know randy got my back. I also know that solos don't break often and the few that did had either a charger issue or a dead battery which you can replace with centizen's kits.

Damn I'm so jealous of you guys :(

The solo will be my first vaporizer, but I'll have enough money to buy one around Christmas time  So I'm herb-less, and vape-less til then.

I'm gonna get the M1X model from ebay for $138.50... the one that comes with the 4pc metal grinder (do I really need one by the way?)

Do you guys know if there will be a sale going on for Solos during Christmas time? On any site?

Wait so can I give my opinion or not?? After telling me to not give my opinion you gave me your opinion. I am aware of forum etiquette, but someone mentioned the MFLB and my response was to that poster (not you), and if I remember correctly I pointed out that I thought the MFLB was great until I got a solo. So my post was applicable to this thread. Thanks for the advice though *-)

Nobody said you couldn't express your opinion. I got the distinct impression that you weren't giving an opinion of the Solo, you were expressing an opinion about the MFLB and threw in a reference to the Solo. That belongs in the MFLB thread. See that Staff Member banner under my name? That mean one of my jobs is to sort out things like that. Now here's a couple of rules to help you out:
  • Rules are interpreted and applied at staff discretion.
  • Public discussions of staff decisions are not permitted on the site. If you have any concerns or queries relating to a staff decision please take it up in private with a staff member.
You're welcome for the advice.

I find that a little strange, exactly what did Arizer promise and fail to do?

You have no contract with them, they're in no way obligated to do anything I can see....zero responsibility. IMO the gripe rests with the guys who took your money and have failed to do what they promised....for whatever reason. That's where the contract is, and responsibility lies IMO. If these guys can prove some breech of promise from Arizer, they can look to recover in the usual ways (good luck with that....) but failure to perform is failure to perform, blaming someone else is IMO an evasive excuse. They were quite happy to take your money, and still expect 'their cut'.

I fail to see how you can blame a third party, legally or ethically. Arizer didn't start this, or have any say in the deal you cut.

Or did I miss something?

Actually only cold water.

Way short of what we need, really.

High temperature tube is not common in shops (very low demand and higher price), which is why I order it. The only shop I know that carries it is in a city about 450 miles away. Sorry I don't have better news or advice.

@Stu thanks! The taste isnt that bad to be honest, i hit the ashcatcher without the tubing fot a week before and it tastes just a bit worse with the tubing.
@OF thats too bad, i was searching through this forum and found someone mentioning they found silcone brand silicone tubing at a home depot so i might try there... That setup is definitely temp
