yep just something shiny to look at when you're stoned.
They put these features on mine ahead of time in the winter as a way of saying sorry for the trouble, I had to make several returns in a month.

I have an AL which only has one party mode
Is the B series the only one with multiple party modes or does the AG too?

The newer ones, the old ones have one mode only.
I think what he (and me too) really wanted to know is the first two letters of the serial number for your formerly unique Pax.

I am on my third (and absolutely best) Pax
It has gone strong since it arrived MANY months ago.
The first two had warranty issues upon arrival.
Blue is Standby mode...
I have seen every color here under it's correct application, and I use my Pax daily, but have never seen the party mode for myself. I tried.. I rotated, and spun.. I spun the uunit then me, and rotated it in every orientation.. I did "wax on/wax off"....
With all 3 units I tried.
I see no party mode.
It has gone strong since it arrived MANY months ago.

older models only work from one direction, the one with the multiple party modes (On mine any way) doesn't matter which way you turn it, it'll turn on clock wise or counter clockwise. I have heard a lot of people compare it to using a screwdriver.

I am testing Wax tools now so must wait, but next trip outside the house it is the Pax... (rolled like a doobie/screwdriver~)

I roll it one handed. Was reading here and looked down to see weird colors. Sometimes I can only get the 2 party modes. ??? Still not sure about the other modes. Somehow it was flashing 3 time one color then a diff color then 3 times diff color..... Right now it will change to a different color when I move it but stays solid that color till I move it again. Imma drain a battery just playing.

motion sensor is the coolest. hands down. 
The blue temp light that you can get when you change temperatures is not the same blue used for standby mode, it's a deeper richer blue.

Aww I have the same AL model but mine only has one party mode...
Maybe two, when I roll it when it's warming up purple the party mode has a red/pink tendancy but that's all I can find

I have an AG that just has the one mode. I had to do a warranty swap in April on my other one, and got a BC back in place of my other AG.
The BC has the multiple modes, but I had never checked until now. I just never use party mode. I rely on auto shut off too much in case I set it down and forget it

Came in a white cardboard box, the only marking on it was the address and the return address, which does have a Ploom logo (just the name ploom in fancy typography like on the web site). Inside is the PAX box, which is anything but discreet, but the shipping box is cool unless your 'rents know what the company ploom makes.

Just signed up today as well as purchasing a Pax from a local tobacco shop. I've lurked for a few months and did plenty of research. After taking about an hour to look at 7 different vapes in person, I went with the Pax. Though I didn't see it, the fact that my friend has one, and over a dozen other people have recommended this one to me made me pick it.
The store was out so I won't be getting it until Friday. Cannot wait until it arrives!
