Arizer Solo

I couldnt wait because I was ready to say F combustion. So it was nec. for me to get a vape quickly. The solo is my only vape, but I love it. Im very glad I bought it instead of waiting. It serves as a good home unit for personal use...so even if you were to get a new one later, it would prob. still have a place in you lineup.

Now I can vape and wait for a while and see how these new portables do in the market. After others go through testing and reviewing the units, I'll make a new purchase based on the results.

There is the Ascent, the INH XP is starting to ship, also there are rumblings of a new Solo, and others.
I believe the future will be bright for portables. Right now, the Solo seems to be the most solid portable for the money. I don't think you will go wrong as long as you don't have to have the latest and greatest at present. Just my opinion.

ye good points
a new Solo? didn't know that,
ye it's not necessary that i get a new one, I've already F'D combustion right off.
just between my verdamper and MFLB I'm feeling a bit old school, would like a vape with more control.
i guess there will always be a new vape on the horizon.
might pull the trigger on the solo, (after Google enlightens me of the new solo)

Has there been any follow up from Davinci after the trade show in Vegas? was hoping for a cheeky video maybe some clouds shots,

Where is all this talk of a "new solo" or a "solo 2" coming from? does someone have a secret contact at Arizer??

It's just a rumour from earlier in the thread:

I'm sure it's been buried, but Arizer is working on some kind of new product ;) My guess is a Solo 2.0.

Whatever Arizer is doing, it would be wise to remember that there were rumours and speculations about the Solo for a couple of years before it was released.

So any tips for a guy new to the solo? Best temp setting for flavor and vapor production? Screen? No screen? Fine grind? Packed? Any tips will help.
3-5 for direct draw. 5-7 for waterpipe use. Grinding not absolutely necessary. I don't pack my stems, I just 'dig' or suck up the amount of flowers I want to use and tap the side of the stem a few times until it's fairly evenly distributed. Screens aren't necessary but are recommended especially if you are grinding your herb.

hey guys, looking for a variable temp, digital portable vape
this vape caught my eye, seems like a solid unit?
just wondering if is worth waiting for the davinci ascent?, which has a all glass pathway is smaller and offers similar controls
the arizer solo is available with some great deals at the moment and the newer model is out. So they should have any issues ironed out,
whereas this new unit may have some teething problems, although Davinci does have some pedigree
think it's worth waiting?
because i could purchase a arizer right now for £100, no customs, free next day postage,
whereas the davinci is the end of march in America, who knows when for the U.K, for around £160-£200

You could gamble on the Ascent and hope it works well, or you could buy a vape that you know will work well today. You could always sell your Solo if you decide down the line that you still want to go with the Ascent. Vaporizers seem to hold value very well.

i live 20 mins away from kitchener....maybe i should go on a stealth mission lol
Need a partner

Just buy the SOLO and you will spend your money wisely!

Currently the CERA has teething problems however give about 8 months and they will improve. Both good products just not ready yet. Like when the IPHONE had issues when it launched. Now everyone in the family has one.
I will get a CERA and a ACCENT in 2014 to expand my quiver. In the meantime SOLO's work and are dependable. I will get the next SOLO as well one day. The current SOLO is the best vaporizer for the price point they are selling for.

I agree the Solo is a awesome vape!! The Cera is also a top notch unit, however, as you said has experienced some problems ( some people are unhappy that the unit only has a momentary switch not a latching switch). Moreover, the Cera is considered the top vape for oil/concentrate users but only an average unit for loose leaf use. As to the ascent , it looks like it will be a great unit, however, it wont be released until at least mid March. You mentioned problems with the ascent? I haven't heard of any problems after all, it's not even on the market yet. I haven't used the Inhalater XP, but the reviews have been generally positive.

Blue Monkey, you might consider the Flashvape. Although the Flashvape doesn't have digital temperature control as you said was important to you. It looks to be a grat vape: 100% convection with the stage 2 add on, clean glass and ceramic vapor path, 5 second heat up time, potential for huge clouds, very efficient and only costs about $160. I have one on order !! You might want to check out the Flashvape thread....

My vote: Solo or Flashvape.

I was thinking more of a proven unit.
Have you tried the FLASH VAPE?
FLAVOR?

No I have not personally tried the Flashvape. Like I said I've ordered it and should get it by mid-week. Although I've read the entire thread and seen videos. Check out Vitolo's video. Also, a lot of prominent FC members give high marks for the Flashvape ie.
Paka, Tweek and Vitolo. As far as taste is concerned, FV gets high marks maybe better than the Solo due to 100% convection combined with a clean ceramic and glass vapor path. Check out the thread it's a pretty impressive vape IMO......

OK if Vitolo endorses it then you make a valid point.
The SOLO's work so well how can you go wrong to own one?

I replaced my MFLB with a SOLO.
The Flavor was so good I bought a second one.
You can't go wrong at the price you quoted!

Ye i think your right,
I'm about to place my order
i do love my MFLB and would like to think it will still have it's place alongside the solo?
do you find this is the case?

My intention was not to steer you away from the Solo. In fact, I love my Solo and use it often. The fact of the matter is you can't go wrong with either the Solo or the Flashvape. People always ask what is the best Vape? There is no BEST VAPE. Read up on all vapes you are considering :Solo, the Flashvape and the Ascent , and then determine what meets your needs the best. Good luck!

ye no worries,
i was glad to hear some thoughtful suggestions,
had a quick scan of the flash vape, while it does have some very interesting features,
for my next vape i really had my heart set on some more solid control over temperature.
A verdamper and a MFLB have been my vaporizer's of choice, both are all about breath control, while I'd make the transition comfortably to the flash vape and I'm sure I'd be able to get the best from it, i'm craving some automatic temp settings,
Cheers guy think i'm gonna grab the SOLO

Good choice bm ,
Here is my rule of thumb .
I never buy a new version " of any vape " until it's been launched and reviewed .
I like version 2.0 , because they usually have the kinks worked out ....sometimes it takes 3.0 .

Fortunately we have a lot of courageous early adopters on FC willing to try out new vapes first :)

Enjoy your Solo bm .

Blue monkey,

You made a great choice. You will not be disappointed with the Solo!!

Hey, I'm thinking about getting a small hydra tube for my Solo. I just want to be able to cool the vapor a little when vaping at the higher temperatures levels 6 and 7. Do you guys have any suggestions?

My Solo is on its way, but now I'm having second guesses after seeing the FV thread. DOH! Why didn't I know about this yesterday?

I'm still glad I got my Solo for the following reasons-

1- having a set temp is nice.

2- I'm glad I ordered from PIU, $160 is by far the best price I've seen from a legitimate dealer and comparable to what is offered on E-bay. Plus I've been checking out the Forums and Randy does seem like a cool dude.

On the other hand the FV is attractive to me because...

1- Battery life is important to me, and having the replaceable batteries IMO is a HUGE plus. It's a big reason why I chose the Solo over say the Pax. I'm on the road a lot and I wanted something that I could use the whole day.

2- The quick start up time.

3- Having the oversized bowl really appeals to me. During my combusting days I enjoyed filling oversized bowls and toking off of them over a period of hours, one or two hits at a time.

So for the $160 I paid for the Solo, for the same price I could have gotten the full FV package, with two extra batteries and an extra dual charger.

And now I just learned about the Davinci Ascent, I dunno, my new Solo might end up on Craig's List soon...

Dude I doubt you read anything on this thread cause the solo can produce huge clouds without trying.

No, I haven't read all 488 pages, but I took that part out of my comment because, as I stated, I haven't used one yet. I look forward to finding out first hand.

4- One big advantage the FV seems to have over the Solo is cloud production. I'm not always into making huge clouds, but having the option to either 'sip it or stoke it' woud be great. Although I've never used a Solo, seems like with the set temp you will get, and only get, nice medium vapor draws.

So for $160 I paid for the Solo, for the same price I could have gotten the full FV package, with two extra batteries and an extra dual charger.

And now I just learned about the Davinci Ascent, I dunno, my new Solo might end up on Craig's List soon...

My guess is after you get your Solo you will not want to part with it. I just ordered the Flashvape, but my Solo will continue to get a lot of use as well. Rest assured, both the Solo and the Flashvape can produce thick clouds! You will be pleasantly surprised......

Always in a state of confusion and silliness♀
I just want to know what the wire is hanging on cause that part that plugs into the solo is just as short as the charging wire I hate it. Why do they think making that part so short is ok? The plug to wall is long.
