Vaporbrothers Vaporizer

Is there anything that we could see from VB this year?
What we need to see is a larger push towards the use of vaporizers & water-pipes. I think it's great that Vapor Bros offers the Hydrator which introduces many to the benefits of water-filtered vapor, but they could go a little further as far as options go. Heck, in the thread Linus said that Sheldon Black was their neighbor. Collab. with them! :science:
Honestly, I doubt there is anything new we will see from VB this year, but who knows? I still love my trusty Vapor Brothers either way. :luv::2c:

I'd like to apologize ahead of time for anything poorly worded, I'm not the best at communicating. :|

I ordered a VB HF on the 8th and it arrived here the 13th, I was looking to start vaporizing for not only my health, but because I had commonly heard about how vapes helped conserve herb. Before I ordered the VB, I read reviews from dozens of websites about dozens of vapes, this site included, and have now decided to ask my question here.

I'm obviously new to vaporizing, beforehand I had never used one, and only had the opportunity to see one once. Otherwise I had been smoking for almost three years, so either way I'm relatively new. My tolerance is low, and I've just recently been able to medicate every day, all day which is what I've needed. When I smoked, it would be on average .5g a day, when I got the VB I went through almost an eighth in around 4 days, the last day involving me going through .7g, the least of the others. I've learned a little about what temperature to leave it about (approx. 9:30-10:30), but not much technique about drawing from the whip. Currently it's slow, and I have very little vapor visible in indirect light.

Sorry about all of the details, I figured more would be better. My question is if my usage will go down the more I use and learn about it (I understand there's a learning curve), and if there are techniques that are more efficient than others, or if it really does just come down to learning and preference.

I understand going from .5g to .7g may not look like a lot to some people, but I am medicated all day from it, and not exactly the wealthiest person around.

If you need more information I'll be glad to help, and a huge thank you ahead of time to anyone that can help me. :)

OK it should be quite the opposite so here are some tips!

Pack light and fluffy... Grinding your herbs with a grinder is best. Try to put just enough in the Whip to cover the screen.

Experiment with higher temperatures. Turn the temp control up, like to 12 or beyond. You will get more visible vapor. Don't kill yourself though- it can be strong once it really hits.

Stir the material every 4 hits or so. Don't empty the Whip until the material is browned.

If you really went through more material than smoking, somehow, smoke the waste product of the vaporizer if you're feeling adventurous. It has an effect of its own.

This works yet?

Oh... I'm so going to bust (possibly piss off ;)) Linus here.

I got a sneak peak... I got a sneak peak...

YES LINUS! Beautiful! I can't wait to see the rest!

I'm psyched! Hoping for a new generation of VB! Maybe the unit will reduce its footprint! I can imagine it being a small and sexy wooden block but produces huge clouds.

Umm...I fill my wand about half way full of product. Is that bad? I seem to get an even browning, especially if I stir it. How much does everyone else put in? Just curious...
I typically fill my wand about half way as well, but sometimes less & sometimes more :p. I will even admit that I have 'topped-off' my wand(bowl) MANY times, & have even done so more than once before emptying out the wand's bowl(not because the taste is awful, but because there's no more room..eventually). What I mean by that is instead of emptying out the bowl & all that nonsense, I just simply toss some fresh product on top of the ABV(not horribly browned ABV; then it tastes GROSS), & re-attach my wand. All in less time than it would take to go grab a fresh cold-one. It's fun to switch up strains quite quickly, using my lazy method. Am I the only one that 'tops-off' their bowls, on a whip-vape such as the VB? I have never heard of anyone mentioning doing it, maybe I am literally the laziest person in the forum.. haha :freak:

I fill mine to the top, where the glass meets the silicone heat sleeve, after I've pulled on the whip end to seat it. That's what the directions said, that's what I do.

Hmm, this is interesting.

I have been using Cloud, it's the only vape i have currently.

My friend has a VB, so I went over to his place to take a few puffs. The bowl size was similar to what I would load up in an ELB for Cloud. After finishing up a bowl. It felt like it had more effect on me than a bowl on Cloud. My buddy pulled out some Afgoo for 2nd bowl. I was gone after that.

Cloud may be the best vaporizer on the market but VB and others do really work as well if not better.

I think the Cloud is an amazing device from what I've seen/read. I'd love to do a session with one, as I've been told it truly is effortless. As a glass user/collector I would really appreciate that, as it lets you get your med on.... while really getting to enjoy your rig.

Sometimes people take my commentary on the Cloud, as negative. Never. I respect the guys that put the work into it and know their goal is to make the best damn vape on the planet. I just say... there's lots of options and methods and like anything, preferences are the true judge. I can't think of a better vape for me, than the HI. Though, I sure do enjoy the Hell out of my VB.

I agree... there's something about vaping one, that kicks you back and gets the job done, like no other. I get the most even dark brown off it.

Oh most definitely, ain't knocking Cloud in any way here. I have been in a search for a vaporizer that uses little or none metal. Cloud is almost pure glass however the ELBs are still metal. I figure I would like the ceramic heating element on the VB to be more cleaner and more flavorful.

WIth VB, I can squeeze the most out of the flowers.

You use your VB through Glass, any tips you have for doing it?

No particular tips, other than you don't need much. Just a small piece to smooth off the vapor.

I use either my VB Mini Hydrator, though I prefer using my SSFG Inline Bubbler (don't have to worry about knocking it over).

Shit that's a sick piece you got there. It looks real fun to pull some vapor hits through it!

How do you like the mini hydrator? I'm absolutely drooling for the High Performance one. Is it a big difference between those hydrators?

I haven't hit the High Performance piece. Though, its a significant upgrade in versatility, with the ability to switch out percs. The Mini is a nice travel piece and a nice match with my ac/perc. Nice thing about VB bubblers, is with the low-center of gravity you can balance just about any ac/perc on it. Nice thing about the whip style vapes, they don't really need water cooling... so if you do use one, you don't need much.

I like the little bubbler. Not complicated, easy to grab and use. Here's a short video I made, part of a series on my different pieces and perc action. Its not a stack monster, but it gets the job done. I'm using it with my HI. Only drawback with that type of vape with a small bubbler like this, is pulling on the clear. Soon as vapor flow stops, it clears on its own. You can see it in the video. With a whip vape, you obviously have a constant stream of vapor, while pulling... so the clear would be different.

I've been experimenting with my VB at a lower dial setting: about 8 o'clock rather than my usual 10. Getting some solid rips off of it and the bowl seems to last forever.

Just wanted to share.

That looks like a really good hydrator. The thickness of the vapor looks insane! The dry vapor's heat never bothers me me so I could get a traveler beaker tube from SSFG, and drop some ice in it instead of using water. That could be something I could look into or just get the hydrator.

One of the best things about whips that I just pass the whip around, the worst thing happens is when they pull the whip off the heating element. Not much they can fuck up. When I'm passing around my Cloud to my friends. WIth all of the glass and pieces, just makes me a bit nervous for it, ha!

Wonder what's the temperature when it is at 8...

Does any one have like a rough estimate of what the temperature is like across the dial?
