People on chat are saying they reckon it's a piece of shit lol and that "vaping is like gay smoking" and that hightimes is rigged. lol. I wouldn't get too worked up about these guys opinions.
Lame they didn't give the vapexhale cloud more of a try. Their loss.

High Times might be rigged...but anyone who says the Cloud is a P.O.S. does not in any way deserve to ever use a Cloud again. Fools almost always remain fools...

Ehh, i'd be surprised if vapexhale rigged the votes though :/.
Anyway more importantly.. WHERE IS THE ANNOUNCEMENT :(?

i see a trend of not fullfilling dates announced here on FC
guess people should stop making promisses and launch or announce things when their are really ready to it
but back to the cloud thread

FYI, High Times sucks.

Nevertheless the Cloud is a great vape, I felt cheated by HighTimes in Amsterdam...IMO I don't care who wins or not...most of the people smoke and talk shit about vapor...

I really dislike the people (1 guy who makes doughnuts or whatever) saying that when vaping you waste more THC than in smoke something like that... that smokes is more efficient... yeah about that....

Too bad he doesn't realize that when he's smoking he's vaping too lol

tdandre, I couldn't agree with your post more! This one has really struck a nerve with me due to previous experiences with VX, but instead of flipping out, i'll just move over to the MiniVAP thread.

SM55 and VX crew - I hope you are feeling better and on your way to recovery.

Holy crap i'm tired from staying up too late waiting for the announcement as promised, and think i'm feeling a little under the weather myself.

I did a mighty facepalm when the host says this:

Its no volcano... its no verdamper... its no herbalaire

After he hits it for barely a couple seconds with poor result
How can they even make that comparison? LOL! I'm going through .4 packed in my Volcano right now, and in no way is it as calm on my lungs as water vapor is & Ive only used an LSV. So long as the temp is properly neutralized in water (maybe a pre-cooler with hot humid water?) & the temp doesn't reach your lungs when ripping or nearly doubling the rate of heat that reaches your mouth from the Cloud, I wouldnt imagine vapor could get smoother than Im under the impression the Cloud can deliver.

Im gripping my chest right now because of the Dry vapor from my volcano, wishing I had a Cloud. Even with just a single .2 takes at least 6-12 massive inhales from a Volcano that can be a not so good thing with folks with lungs like mine. Theoretically, the Cloud would be a minimum of 3-6X more efficient at delivering vapor than the Volcano in terms of how many inhales it takes to medicate. (for real, if you think about it)

I do think it's funny that people here got so hyped about some announcement, even staying awake later for it. The original purpose of the announcement was to alleviate the concerns of reliability for cloud owners, what with the 2% faultiness I'm sure. That horse has been beaten to death here, with several cloud owners talking about their failed clouds, some even having to replace them 3-4 consecutive times. Despite paying outrageous amounts of money(from the perspective of a college student at least) for a product that has failed multiple times for them, people still praise the cloud. I feel like the reverence for this product is almost cult like, either that or fanboyism is just new to me.

"Speculations" of the announcement have gone from warranty related care, to modifications to the existing cloud(that you have to pay for LOL), to a completely new product. Where/how did people make this jump? I spoke to a customer service rep two weeks ago, asking him if i should wait until the 18th(lol again) for the announcement before biting the bullet. He told me no, it would make no difference, and the supposed "cloud plus" is an addition you have to get separate.

I have since then taken what feels to me like a slight risk on this vape which i justified by buying it from vapornation for an effective price of 360 dollars(450 base-50 fc coupon+free grinder, cleaning solution, scale, aromatherapy blend+40 in store credit+free shipping). I do hope i was not given false information, and I'm looking forward to seeing this announcement.

I didn't know the Cloud had so many malfunctioned units...
It was said somewhere i this forum the rate of malfunctions was 2%. It may seem that its a lot worse than it actually is after reading this thread, but that's because everyone comes here to complain when theirs breaks, and those with working products don't. That's my understanding, but 2% is still a risk if you cant afford to buy another one

Your completely forgetting about the one year warranty. Even if your cloud may be faulty vapor trails, there is a huge chance it will be under warranty. I've noticed if a cloud malfunctions, it's usually sooner than later for some odd reason.

If we get an announcement today, the concern for a non-reliable company/product should be alleviated (SM5 eluded to this earlier in the thread). If anything that's the main thing I would like to see upgraded is the warranty/reliability because performance is far from an issue in my eyes. Wishful thinking on a sale too so I finally have enough incentive to have some cloudy days!!

Less than a 2% global failure rate - that's pretty damn good IMO. Especially with new technology. I have to say - not towards you VT but how can anyone say that people come here just to complain versus people who working products don't chime in.

IH - I think you really should actually read the thread before making a comment like that, I actually take a little offense to that comment as I amongst 100's of others here do nothing but praise the cloud for its performance. I also think the comment gets thrown out the window as the creator of the cloud - SM55 - has been a member here for years, even before he started to manufacture the cloud itself. With all due respect welcome to FC but please before making statements like that take the time to read the thread in its entirety. I think you'll be surprised to read what and how we all feel about the cloud. In fact - most of the time that someone chimes in with complaints - I have found they are new members that just joined FC to do so.

Yeah-
I don't think you could be farther off base with your post. Just my opinion. I have had the same Cloud from it's date of introduction and have not had a single problem. Nothing even for a second that made me think anything was wrong or that it wasn't working. You must have drunk the Cloud kool aid (oh yeah!) somewhere along the line, because you went ahead and ordered one.

That retraction is gonna be interesting to read...:peace:

:( :( :( ... my backup Cloud just died ... and I haven't received my current one back yet from getting repaired :( ... thank god I bought that MiniVAP not long ago or I'd be without any "heavy hitters" with my 2 Clouds out of service ...

to anyone who has previously owned an Extreme Q and moved on to the Cloud....

assuming you were getting decent vapor from the Q, how impressed were you with the improvement ?

The Extreme Q does not compare. I am thinking of selling my Extreme Q now. I can not get it to produce anywhere near the vapor production of my Cloud or E-Nano.

It's night and day. Even when I didn't have the Cloud, I used my Pax instead of the Extreme Q.

Oh, how about an order of magnitude? The Cloud is simply in a different class altogether; it may even be in a class by itself. For me what probably stands out most is the incredible extraction without requiring high heat or hard pulls (but you can crank it up if you've got the lungs). You can hit the Cloud slow and easy, or as hard as you can, either way you can keep getting good vapor until your herb is practically evaporated into powder, effortlessly without a trace of harshness.

I have several very experienced friends to whom I introduced the Q. They all like it a lot. Then they met the Cloud. Now one is using a Cloud, another is saving for a Cloud, and the other can't afford a Cloud and is pissed off about it. Is there a pattern here?

I was very impressed with an SSV, vs. the Extreme, before the Cloud was even a wet dream for stonemonkey55. A dual mode vape like the E or herbalAire is a compromise on direct draw when using that mode 'out of the box'. You can improve hits on the E with elbow packing, and using water filtration on either, but they're not designed that way, just modded. The Cloud was designed with all these other good vapes in mind- in mind to be better, combining the best features of them into one model.

A properly working Cloud is definitely a step up from the Q but I dont think the difference is as extreme as newVaper420 thinks. Ive switched back and forth several times now. If you pack the elbow and crank it up, the Q can deliver some dense vapor, just at a slower rate. In fact, if you happen to get a Cloud that doesnt get quite hot enough the Q can easily be beat it (if your goal is thick tasty vapor).

While I love my Pax, for home use i much prefer the Q over the Pax (or a working Cloud over both).

I am seeing a trend here :) I have an EQ and think it is a good Vape but it is not Cloud good. Considering the cost of the EQ vs the Cloud I think you get more value with the EQ. You also get more value buying a Honda Accord vs a Lamborghini so you get what I am saying ;) The EQ is my backup vape if my cloud were to ever break and I have the necessary attachments to use my water tools with the EQ. I think it is overkill to buy two clouds just to have one as a backup if you already have another Vape although I get very very tempted. I hate that I am tempted to buy a second one. It has to be a better product for me to want to spend my money. My biggest fear is this pending announcement is going to be for a better cloud that is just enough of an upgrade to make me want to drop more money.

I have not visited the EQ thread in awhile but I remember months ago someone was using modded ELB's in it bringing it closer to the heat and providing closer to cloud performance. If my cloud breaks I will spend a few hours catching up on the EQ thread to hold me over until a replacement arrives :)

Here is my wish list for a new cloud. Maybe this could be Cloud Gen 3

1. Detachable cord
2. Removable parts to facilitate better internal cleaning (ex: ring of residue)
3. Faster heatup time
4. Built in WeMo like functionality
5. Variable bowl sizes
6. Lithium battery so that when you detach the cord you can pass it around while it stays heated for say 20 min making it semi portable. Make sure to include a docking station for wireless charging :) ok wireless charging not necessary and it can be slow but we all need a docking station to make it easier to charge my future semi portable cloud :)

I can think of more but given the desktop form factor of the cloud and the various mods on this forum this is what I can think of.. for now. Future future clouds should have some kind of humidifier air conditioner to deliver the medicine in a way that can be most easily absorbed by the lungs... once research figures out how to do that :)

Sorry guys, been running a 103 fever since the weekend. Gonna try and crank out this announcement as clearly as I can with a 50% functioning brain.

First off, VapeXhale is proud to have repeated as Best Product winner at the LA Cannabis Cup. This event had over 1,000 vendors and we are extremely proud of the team. I wouldn't go as far as saying that there are no politics involved in the Cannabis Cups but the Best Product, Best Glass, and Best Booth are their three awards that are voted by the attendees and not judges so we feel pretty good about our award. We no longer do trade shows where these awards are given by the judges (Kush Expo *cough cough*) as we lost to another vaporizer company that had barely any people at their booth and are currently teetering on the edge..... no sense in dwelling on the past... on to the announcement!

There has been quite a bit of speculation about the durability of the VapeXhale Cloud vaporizer. We have engineered the VapeXhale Cloud to a point where there is a less than 2% failure rate which is the norm for electronic devices. With the amount of failed Clouds in this forum, we could see why you would think otherwise but we wanted to let our actions speak louder than our words.

Moving forward, every newly purchased VapeXhale Cloud (after Feb 16th) vaporizer will come with a 2 year warranty. If you would like to purchase an extra year (3 years total) of warranty, the cost for that will be $150

Existing VapeXhale customers can upgrade their warranty for an additional 2 years for $150. In addition to the extended warranty, if you want to send in your Cloud we will retrofit it with some upgrades like the following:

*Shorter heat up times
*Replaceable bamboo (will still need to be sent in)
*Longer auto-shutoff time
*Cooler to the touch

This is NOT a brand new model, these are just some incremental improvements that we have made over the last year. We tried to make this as fair as possible but also know that we can't please all the people all the time which is why we made it a $150 upgrade for anyone that wanted three years of warranty whether you are an early adopter, current customer, or future customer.

Lastly, we are quickly ramping up international production and are in our final testing stage. We will officially launch April 20th but stay tuned, we will be releasing some earlier models but you have to follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook to get the latest information.

Thanks again to everyone on this forum that made this a reality. In 2008 when I found FuckCombustion while internet surfing in Jamaica on my honeymoon, I never thought it would lead to this. Max had taught me so much about vaporization in the early days and really got my creative juices flowing to build a better mousetrap. 2013 is going to be a very interesting year as we've been adding the necessary components to scale this business up. Thanks for tagging along this journey with us, we love you guys!

Back to the Nyquil, my head is literally about to explode. I'll be back online to answer questions hopefully later on this evening.
