Are they easy to get in and out of the stem. Also any place you recommend buying them from?
I got all mine from Underdog Dave. His replacement screens fit perfectly, so I bought a bunch from him. I can send you a few if you PM me your address (like I said.... I bought a bunch and won't use them all).

Thanks Stu! You just confirmed what I thought already, 5/8" is too big.

They go in very easy, the stem itself is approx 5/8" dia. so all I do is line up the screen dia. with the outside of stem, take a pencil (flat end) , it is easy to hold it in the the center of screen and push in, the edge forms itself tight in the bowl and does not move , I believe because the dia. is the same it is easier to hold and line up to stem than the 1/2" would be. If I ever require more screens I will order 5/8" again , I have the brass screens if it makes a difference.

I've used the brass but wasn't too thrilled, although they are super flexible. I liked the Planet Vape Solo screens, I thought the size was "perfect"...slight dome, push in, and then press to the height you want.

I have been cutting screens and ever so slightly domed. I then took the same screen I used to cut and put it in and I love the air flow but not so much the smaller bowl but it is ok. The screen size on the card board is .625. I didn't have to do anything, just fold them in and had a perfect dome. I ordered pv screens for the solo and should be here by Monday if you want me to compare them for you. Just let me know.

The Planet Vape screens fit perfectly plus they last so long!
I haven't tried my economy pack from EBAY.
Guess I need to compare plus the mesh size is different between the two.
With PLANET VAPES you can't go wrong.

WAY too expensive....I got 100 on eBay for a few bucks.....a few bucks gets you 5 at PV. Can you please measure the PV screens, are they 1/2"?

What are burn off sessions? I thought the first couple out of the box cycles on 7 did the trick for good? Also what is the best way to hit this thing. I vaped 2 stems before from 3-5 and i am high but not booted. I was taking 6-10 sec pulls and saw a bit of vapor especially on 5

slow easy pulls, and hold it in a bit, it's not smoke, so you want it to absorb. It will not hit you hard all at once, like combustion, it is more of a creeper sensation, that comes on over a bit of time. Also depends on the quality of your herbs as to how well they will work.

1/2" screens used.
Looks like I need to do a ISO cleaning.
NEW OG works well in a SOLO.
Having two stems ready is nice.
Travel tubes have saved my stems!
CO2 OIL in a PERSEI cart is a very good companion to a SOLO session!

Just hit me how long it has been since I did a full bowl of the Solo. I have my screens set up so that the the screen sits flush with the PVHES notches, meaning the entire bowl is only like 1/8" thick, for very efficient and evenly cooked bowls.

Armerad,
ataxian I do clean most of my stuff in iso and that is fine. I am confused why you don't understand what I am trying to do. I know I am not clear sometimes. All I am doing is letting one stem get oily to try the hot chocolate. I have never reclaimed before so will have to go look at the threads about what to do with it. I am not going to do anything like qwiso or bho and blow myself up hehe. I don't think there is enough oil in stems to actually make edibles unless you are making a single serve of something.

The other thing that may be confusing you is that I am ordering regular drinking straws and trying to mod them for the solo and the INH just for a longer glass air path.

I am a big fan of reclaiming. I had 6 stems and made 2 quarts of icecream (highcream) with it and loads of doses. A friends of mine always splits his stem with someone too strong since the first time he tried it alone and had a fun 12 hour journey. Enjoy!

According to my tracking email the Pelican 1300 case I ordered from Amazon was just delivered to my home. It might be a little bigger than you are looking for, though. I can post some pics later this evening after I get it set up if anyone is interested.
Funny, Several people are now talking about pelican cases.... I just bough one from a shop where I live. I bought the 1120, fits the solo, several stem(stacked) My large space case and a small jam jar. With more room to add on. I will send pictures when I can.

I will have to buy some PVHES for me. Both of the stems in my solo fall off, if it wasn't for that I almost always use my GonGPHE I would be damned...

You should try the o-ring mod discussed recently; it'd be a lot cheaper than buying new stems

Is that getting you where you need to be? It seems like such a small amount? I have to give that a shot.

I saw black o-rings around here, but I'm not sure about their heat resistance. I'm trying to find the orange ones, but can't find them.

I know I love it more then you know. I hope the glass straws will work otherwise I am sure that custom stem is expensive and I don't know if I am willing to pay for that.

ehakim how much did it cost? To bad my order is on its way or I may have added it. How long it is?

It's actually only 10$ more than a normal PVHES stem so 30$ and it measures 22 cm exactly double the length of the normal stem
