Excellent! That's always good to hear. Some of my dealers are really great at giving the thing prime retail space. It's important for a new product, especially a unique one.

Lol and how did you ever think of your username GOAT?

Hello, I am interested in ordering a Steele Concept and wonder if I should wait until they are available with the diffusion plate with holes? I love the concept of the ice and also the ability to put diffusion stones in the bottom part, I do like systems that are very easy to hit (I guess that would be low drag) - perhaps the diffusion plate will make it a little harder to pull - maybe I should order one with the current open grid design? What do you think?

The current slot option works well. The new perc works well. As SliM was saying the perc will naturally have a little bit more "drag." I can't really notice a big difference between the two.

Also, the perc design is in development. The slot line is the model I'm selling every week and it has been tested by lots of people who really dig it.

I know you'll love the slot design. The perc plate is more a response to the community wanting more little bubbles and it is still in development.

The main cooling system in this water pipe is the dual heatsink of the bottom base and steel cubes :) The perc is more a value add and tweak to the original design based on perc request.

So if you want one, go ahead and buy one. If you'd like a plate perc model in the future I'll give you a significant discount for being a loyal customer. No buyers remorse!

Believe me, Steve really looks after his customers.

Customers are the boss because you guys pay the bills. If you listen to your customers, the business will be a better one. It's not rocket science, as a producer it should be your goal to make the highest quality piece possible in the market then listen to customers and modify accordingly (like the design of this plate perc).

Too many manufacturers don't shut their mouths and just go crazy marketing, promoting, advertising etc... Manufacturers refuse to open their ears and just listen. It's when you listen and take advice that the magic happens.

If anyone here has in depth questions that aren't answered in my Flight Manual, on the site or on this forum they are welcome to personally PM me and I'll give em my cell number so we can talk.

In my one page business plan my mission statement is: "To provide the highest quality indestructible designer water pipe on the market" If I can do that and make a decent living I'll be a very happy man.

Ontario post some pics of your painted concept already, I've been waiting lol!

It looks like there is room for more than 5 Steel Ice cubes, if I add extra cubes to the order can I put more than 5 in the tube?

Yup. I'm staring at my personal unit in my room right now, looks like you could comfortably fit 8. These cubes are used for chilling beverages so its nice to have extra. I generally recommend people purchase an extra set so they can always have cubes on chill in the freezer. That's what my brother and I do. He's a big scotch/whiskey fan so he uses em as whiskey cubes. The more the merrier.

It makes me feel rich when I have a few hundred cubes on hand... Like I have a treasure chest full of silver or something, hehehe

Ohtheagony and Tweak - I enjoyed The Cabin in the Woods. I made my girl watch it with the lights off and she got scared lol. What a unique movie!

Woops, I hadn't checked back here in a while I guess, but I'm glad you guys enjoyed it! I got another one for you; check out Tucker & Dale vs Evil if you haven't seen it already. It's really hilarious, I couldn't stop laughing myself

I do like you new disk btw, can't you make it a stemless tube with something like that so you can eliminate the last fragile piece of the bong perhaps?

I'm not a huge fan of stemless due to the odd angle one gets when tilting the unit 45 degrees for use. The glass on glass works well and if it were stemless it'd have to be a glass bowl on steel which is less than desirable. I could always use one of those glass 18 to 14 mm adapters but I'm pretty partial to the design now :)

In the future who knows maybe there will be more options. For now I really need to watch costs as this unit is very expensive to produce by industry standards, having multiple options is costlier for a small manufacturer. So for now I'm putting all my energy into this single bread n butter unit and keepin it awesome.

Also, I'll have to check out Tucker and Dale soon!

That's why stemless aren't typically made for 45 degree use and why the mouthpieces are designed so you don't have to tip it. ;)

I concur! Very nice video!

Though, why a scratched one? ;)

Lol haters gon hate! As with any handmade craft some units have very minor aesthetic imperfections. This gives each device character and says "I'm not a uniform mass China produced craft." That being said my local machinist does a great job with everything.

I've had numerous people ask me why I don't just go to China and pay a fraction of what I'm paying now. The answer is that I like that this is a handmade craft and I like supporting local American jobs. I don't care that pay a bit more, supporting my local machinist and his family makes me happy. He is even training his high school son in the craft and he assists him in minor tasks with the Concept, how cool is that?

I would have loved to help make premium pipes in high school. I recall my friend and I would make some pretty nice wood ones for friends, but nothing like the Steele. I've always thought welding was a badass trade, machining is really technical too.

Oh, that's cool. Didn't realize it was just part of the character of the piece. Trust me, I'm not tearing it down. I've yet to get a hand-crafted piece of glass, without some minor imperfections. Doesn't effect function, so I'm especially unconcerned with those type things.

Was just wondering. Thanks for clearing it up.

Yeah man no problem. This is FC everyone here has a bonafide license to hate ;) lol. Naww but constructive criticism is part of the reason I wanted to post my unit on this board...

1. Because FC is my favorite forum and seems to attract some of the most intelligent vape and glass guys out there.

2. FC is ruthless and this is a good thing. If there is a problem with a vape or product, people are gonna know and be very vocal. There's a lot of products to file through and you have to be critical to recognize the diamonds in the rough.

Some Steele Concept units have a little scratch or slight blemish. Some are damn near "perfect." I'm not, if you look carefully in my website about page you can see i'm a bonafide ginger, hehehe.

EDIT: Well not quite as bad as the South Park Ginger kid... hehehe

Nice read on the about page, my semi-useless 3hr marketing class is starting right now and I'll probably be reading your brewing PDF most of the time

Thanks SD_haze. If you have any brewing questions, feel free to PM me. I've been brewing ~5 years and worked at a brewery on and off while going to grad school (I think my ebook says this info). Originally I thought I wanted to get into that industry and produce my own beer.

Stouts and Porters for the win! Down with light beers!

Mass produced American lagers suck. My buddy and I brewed a German style Kolsch a while back I still got on tap, it's a light ale but damn delicious. Ales>Lager... I've got simple tastes, my favorite commercial beer is Murphy's Irish Stout. That O Flanagain stout I posted in my ebook is my favorite home brew recipe and real easy to brew.
