Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Cannasseur and Glasshead
There is this one of a kind swagger HT over in the classifieds, I was sooo tempted to get it, being the reversed shower, and one of a kind, but I just can't keep spending money like crazy right now. Man I wish I could though, damn near pulled the trigger last night.

Jam, I hate you for posting that. I am so tempted it hurts! I love the form factor of that tube. I bet the skinny neck concentrates the taste that's preserved by the reversed showerhead. Perfect HT for maximum taste, it seems. Someone needs to buy that and it can't be me!

 Sorry, we are exactly in the same boat, it's a very tempting piece... I just looked at where my CC balance is and...:o I MUST get control!

Same here Jam, after buying a Solo, two PVHES, a CLOUD, and a couple pretty pieces of glass art (even after i have stopped combusting I will never stop collecting worked bowls), not to mention the cost of my top shelf tested medicine, all within the last 2 months...I need to save money. Not to worry, though, I'll have the best two vapes on the market to keep me happy for years to come.

I'm not hating on the double, it looks sick, but are two percs really necessary for vapor? At that point aren't you just losing potency and taste? Hooking the VHW to double chambered pieces never gave me any improvement in hit quality over a single. Maybe it is personal preference, because flavor is paramount to me.

It is not excessive diffusion when you're taking a big rip at 1pm-3pm-6pm

A small ELB packed @ 10am? Sure its not necessary

I think it's a trade-off. When I use my Hydracirc the flavor is great but sometimes the temp is to high (I'm new to MMJ) and it irritates my throat. When I use it with my Mobius piece (matrix with showerhead downstem) the flavor is not as pronounced but it's easier on my throat...

Thanks Bass and SD, I think I understand now. It might be obvious to seasoned users of the Cloud, but for those used to lesser vapes, the amount of vapor production that the Cloud is capable of is hard to fathom. Yes, at high temperatures with THICK vapor I completely understand wanting a double chamber piece.

I know this was discussed before but i don't think anyone actually had an answer
so now I'm just checking again..

Has anyone had any success getting vapexhale to work
in their car with some sort of DC to AC converter?

Does it need to be "sine wave" or whatever?
I'm very tempted to buy this ahead of time
http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=MI5102&form=CAT2&SUBCATID=1002#12

Cause i can use it when my friend and me hang out with his volcano
and then when i get my vapexhale i can use it myself then.

Please get back to me cause i'm really interested to know.. thanks :).

(also how many watts would it need to run? would i need something stronger that 150w?
if anyone bought a converter for their car that worked well with the vapexhale please link me the product you bought. Thanks :] )

Also would this void my warranty?

I think you need to use the search function, try "cloud AND inverter AND car". This has been discussed a number of times, although by far mostly in the context of international. There are those in the U.S. using the Cloud with an inverter in the car, including IIRC SM himself. But there is an important caution. I don't think it voids the warranty, but this is one of those where policy may have changed (as it did with international), so IMO better to check all the relevant posts.

Thanks for replying to my question but for the record i did use the search function
and i did find people talking about using an inverter but a lot of the questions i had
weren't answered by my search. The only thing i could find
that indicated anyone had sucess using the vapexhale in their car was
a very old post

"I got a video using my beta vxc in my car. If I remember it takes easily 25mins to heat for ome reason. But if you take a preheated vxc from inside to the car, it'll help."
- IAmKrazy2, Mar 27, 2012

Will it void the warranty using it in the car with an inverter?
How many watts will i need to run it?

But the question i'm most interested to have an answer
for is towards people who have bought a DC-AC converter
with success.. What converter did you buy??

I ask that so i can try to match the specs ahead of time.

Very tempted to go out and buy that converter from jaycar
but i'd be frustrated if it ended up not working
or even worse ended up blowing up my vapexhale and voiding my waranty.

Hmmm . . . I found this with Search, posted by SM.

"Before I forget, there were some questions about the wattage that the Cloud pulls. It pulls 80 watts but if you are using an inverter in the car, we suggest getting one that is at least 200 watts. Also, we had a couple Clouds die on us that were hooked up to inverters because someone started their car which caused a spike in the electricity and ended up frying the electronics. For that reason, using the Cloud with an inverter is done at your own risk and will not be warranted if something happens to your vaporizer. We recommend always using a surge protector so that your Cloud is getting the cleanest power source possible. The best analogy that I could think of is putting low quality gasoline in an expensive car that requires premium fuel."

That's all I can help with.

Thanks man! Didn't notice that post.

P.S : sorry for all these questions but does anyone know
if I'd need to use Pure Sine Wave or can i just use Modified Sine Wave?
:/

My worked peyote pillar hollowfoot jus came in today! I only had time to unpack it before going to work. I'll take some milk shots when I get off.

Once again is a pillar type HT even possible?
Hollowfoot peyote pillars are the most elegant-looking waterpipes ever made, IMO. A worked one is icing on the cake! Congratulations on what, for me, would be an ultimate tube purchase. Looking forward to the milk vid. If smoking is whole milk and vapor is skim milk, is the Cloud like 2%?

Also, I'm sure a pillar HT would be possible! Certainly if an inline is... Just put a pillar section over a gridded showerhead perc. Get Sov or 2012BC to blow them. They would sell like hotcakes at any price.

This is just beautiful. Can you upload some high res pics of the work on top? How would you describe the hit of the peyote pillar? I know it's a work of glassblowing genius, but I've never heard the function of it described. Is it particularly good ("synergistic" as they say on the audio forums) with the cloud? It seems like several people have pillars and clouds.

Damn stone I'm jealous every time I see that one of a kind peyote pillar. And thanks for the tip I was never 100 on how much water was right or or not I guess it's more preference, I will def try out more water to hear this baby sing. Lol I have started to put my pillar in the fridge to get the water nice and cold. Works well maybe a biti overkill but I like it. :)

Perhaps VXL's policy has since been changed, but in the SM post I quoted above, doesn't he say that an inverter voids the warranty?
