Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

If you try it with any other glass, try lowering your water level by just 10%. I've found that is the sweet spot when using the Cloud with other glass tubes. Also, single chamber designs work slightly better than two imo.

I agree with you about the HT's stealth. For travel, I think it'd be perfect.

Thanks, JJ, for the tip!! Duly noted. :)

Quiet day in this thread. I'm curious about something, not that the tick tick tick of the Cloud is a deal breaker, because I know that heater is a bad boy and has a huge thermal mass and is just the nature of the beast (I can even hear similar ticking in a Solo, yet obviously way quiter), but do you guys think it's possible that heaters just as good or better than the Cloud's exist that do not tick? One of my concerns, and it's not just this vape, is that you buy it and then a new version comes out that is improved. And it's not even that a new version comes out, it's the subtle changes that a manufacturer makes that is simply part of the evolution of the model. I'm just wondering (because i'm not sure if VXL will comment) if there are any "imminent" plans to eliminate the ticking? I know it doesn't bother alot, and it wouldn't deter me from purchasing forsure, but that is one thing that I could see being an improvement, and causes me to be a little more patient. My feeling is that nothing is really going to change for at least 6 months though.

I am more expecting design improvements of durability (HTs preventing splashbacks, glass breakage etc) and changes in design that would enable repairs. Maybe also some electrical safety circuit so it won't fry with voltage spikes. And 220V compatibility of course. That is imo far more important that silent operation.

good points Seek forsure. Again, it's not a big deal - just a wishlist kinda thing. I completely forgot about the modular design, but I do remember Troi saying it will require alot of time and R&D. No big deal, i'm just gonna wait it out until they release more toys and then pull that trigger. Can always sell it and buy the improved one when it comes out, simply because I always have to have the latest/greatest, and two because I will support this company no matter what, and buy everything the create. Afterall, the VXL team are MASTERMINDS IMHO.

I learned something about my Cloud that I have not read about yet. Forgive me if this has already been mentioned but mine goes from standby to fully operational in a blink of an eye. Mine had been on standby for about fifteen minutes. I cycled the power switch an began to hit it. It milked up my Mobius fast. Very strong.

Must be due to the long cool down...impressive though after 15 minutes, i'd say that's a big plus! Means that if you snooze and let it time out, you don't have to wait the full 10 minutes for heat up. Very nice. I'm rather surprised that this thread has died down (is EVERYONE over in the Pax thread? lol) and that the HydraCirc's are still in stock even!

It's nice not seeing all the preorder questions all the time though, and if there are any lingering, go to the store and BUY IT NOW!

High everyone! I'm a proud new Cloud owner.

I've had it just over a week and have used it exclusively with the Evolver Hydracirc. I thought I'd share my humble video, though I realize there are lots of videos already in this thread from far more experienced Cloud owners. Anywho, I'm so happy I'm compelled to share. The VXC delivers and then some...

Thanks, Stu! I'm quite proud of my, well, vaping hole. :brow:

And I hope you like my fancy Hydracirc holder! I take after you, of course.

I'm a bit confused, they've said it's an analog vape, but also I've heard of it having some kind of PSD and/or PWM heating computer algorithm, so probably not pure analog like Volcano Classic. Anyway, now it works on 110V and is analog for power. It means there must be some big parametrical changes to make it even only 220V, compatibility in the whole range 110-220V would be even harder and certainly will need deep changes in the built-in power source. Also a lot of bureaucracy will be needed for them to start shipping internationally.

Yah mon! Cool vid! I liked the part where you went into the hall to exhale into the light so it was more visible! Very cool VH!

What exactly is your concern?

No concern, just curious if equal calibre heaters exists that "don't tick", that's all. I'd be willing to pay more for it.

Vapinghole, great HT holder/beer cozy! Where can I get one just like that?? I wish something existed like that but only longer like a HT sleeve! That would be tits, because if you knocked it over it would be "fully" protected. Your cozy is good, and should prevent it from being tippy (not that it is with the awesome wide base), but if you did knock it over you could potentially still chip the top portion.

Who's up for manufacturing HT sleeves? lol Good idea, no?

Jurassic:
The Volcano is ticking too everytime it starts and stops heating. But it has only one sensor one heater and has wide hysteresis range (so frequency of that ticking is only one loud tick per few seconds) As the Cloud is vigorously ticking, it seems it heats by pulses unlike 'cano. That is more energy efficient and precise, but faster ticking.

Also my EQ is ticking when heating. Also heats by pulses, but not that PSD-like. Only consistent ticks or nothing, no ticking in itelligent mysterious frequencies that maintain the best temp. EQ's ticking is so quiet I have to place my ear just above the heater while the room is silent to hear it. It's quiet, but also weak. Cloud's heater is sure way bigger. The ticking means powerful :)

Thanks Seek! Hmmm, have had many EQ's and never heard the ticking, but then again never put my ear to it. But yeah it's a weakling in comparison to the beast that is the CLOUD. I really hope you get your international unit soon. Nasdravje :) (father slovak (bratislava) mother czech (brno) :)

EQ's heater is in the center of a ceramic that is in a glass tube. VXC's heater is all around the glasstube of same radius and probably longer. So bigger.

"Will an international version be available?

Eventually yes, we will have international models compatible with European and Australian regions. We will update this section shortly when we have more visibility into when the international version will be available."
That was posted ages ago and made it seem like they would have them released shortly.
Christ i'm on the verge of just buying a volcano :(

Also just days ago they have said they are testing international models. So only a bit more testing and international bureaucracy. Couple of months they estimated, so they don't know exactly too, but it is pointing out it will be soon. Volcano is great, but so old and expensive for what it actually does. Too much perfectionism in the design imo, more than needed, great bags for parties, but for everything else - Cloud. Cloud can also satisfy big groups, but I wouldn't bring it anywhere where alcohol in larger than small ammount is present.

I've been offered a volcano for 150$, could test it out and I didn't buy it. It does bags just like my EQ, just with more perfectionism and is huge and loud. But the Cloud - I'm excited for this vape and wanted it since 2 years ago.

The Cloud will no doubt satisfy a big group, but I wouldn't feel at ease as I would with the Volcano. I've only used my Cloud with up to 5 people at once, and I was a nervous wreck the whole time.

4 out of the 5 of us were experienced high endglass users, and 3 out of the 5 were vaporists. The Cloud was intimidating (I'm glad that they were) to the 2 people who weren't experienced with glass or vaping, however, they still loved the experience, and seemed to get get a bit too comftorable with it too quickly. After the first go around I noticed that they were not nearly as cautious about gently and perfectly putting on the HT to the Cloud, or leaning the setup back like it was an average tube.

All in all I was very stressed and worried the whole time I had the cloud in that group setting. With a Volcano bag I just fill it and throw it to whomever. For how quickly and cheaply I can replace a bag I don't mind having people use it.

I only allow people I trust and know would be willing (and able) to pay for a new Cloud unit in case an accident happens. Most of the time the Cloud is just reserved for my girlfriend and myself, or a real close friend (usually a glass/ and or vaporist enthusist).

Been searching hard for an Ove Glove without that dorky blue silicone all over the outside, and finally found one. Apparently the original glove (from like 1995) didnt have any silicone but all the new ones do, except the "Handy Man's" edition

I can't get any kind of functional comparison other than it not having the blue silicone everywhere. Only other difference is instead of getting 2 for ~$20, it's 1 for $20.

....this mirrors my experience....the cloud is NOT the vape for the novice....my 7th floor vapes satisfies that...at this point the cloud is for a more personal/expericenced clientele....that may be a statement about where I'm at too.....
