what an interesting development if the GG joint was the right size? the mind boggles!

Might also come in handy for those of us whose hands are all thumbs & tend to break stuff easily.

Saw there were a few contenders for the the cheap bubbler thread as well. They have a hella lot of cheap glass.

Well, technically its a wholesale site. They didn't ask you for a business license? I noticed their minimum order is $150, which is certainly reasonable.

I'd like someone to get a successful purchase off there. They've got all those supposed Liquid Sci pieces.

Sorry for your situation SD. If your looking for advice to get that out of there I would dissolve it with some acid, cork is pretty soft, so you should be able to find one strong enough to do the job but not too strong to damage your glass. That would be my first inclination at an approach anyways . . . good luck

Interesting idea, but the sucker only cost about $25 from a LHS so its not too painful a loss.
Especially with a evolver hydratree on the way

Edit: Although . . . an interesting experiment would be a prolonged soak in say carbonic acid (cola) or say phosphoric acid (some colas & toilet bowl cleaners) would be interesting. It would probably reduce the material to a removable, caramelized, sludge before too long

Quite a facepalm indeed. It first slipped out of my hands and fell just gently resting in the joint. I carefully tried to extract it with some pliers but every time it just went in a little deeper. Once it finally pushed through to the bottom the airflow opened up again, but i definitely haven't used it >.<

Can you get a surgeons scalpel and blade or a ssv pick in there enough to cut it or pull it to bits and tap or suck the them out? That cork is gona be pretty shitty after a few sessions and ISO washes imo.

I briefly tried that, but being it is a $25 ashcatcher it is pretty much guarenteed china glass, and definitely do not trust the glass perc to hold up to force.

I actually had left water in with the cork for a day or two and it turned the water yellow

Oh, it should work. I still remember the science experiment in 4th grade, where we dropped a tooth in a cup of cola. Dissolved it in rather quick fashion (somewhere between a few days and a week). I'm sure it can handle a cork.

I just got word from fishbone that he's gonna be able to start on a custom order soon
He's been busy with a big wholesale order, but he said it'll finally be done soon and I'm at the top of his list

I'm getting a few bits & pieces, the main one being a Super Worked Space theme dome (I gave him free reign to make it awesome, so it should be cool).
I'm also gonna get him to make me a stand for the VXC Hydratube - here's a crappy sketch I did in paint:

It'll also let me use the Hydratube with other vapes that wouldn't normally allow use in the vertical fashion a HT is normally used

That will be interesting to see how it works out! The Space work too! I love N8's space domes so It'll be interesting to see what fishbone can whip up. ALT has a buncha n8 domes right now for 100 each, not too bad but I don't really wanna spend as much on a dome as I have on my last two rigs

So the same guy on boromarket named "shine" (he's Kenan Tiemeyer's shopmate) gave me an amazing deal on a unique style rig and three pendants. they'll be here today but here is a quick preview. It's funny because I sent him a PM about this piece (someone had dibs'd and backed out) and Boromarket went down the same day... it came back up tne next afternoon and ironically he had taken the exact piece and reworked it because it was sitting around for so long...so I ended up getting it with all the extra work and an extra female slide for only 40 dollars more than what I woulda paid initially
(got the rig and three pendants for 200, was gunna pay him 160 initially, bet he coulda gotten at least 50 more for just the rig, he really is a great guy!)

here's how it was before he "reworked" the stem and added the slide:

after he reworked it (he also added another amanita shroom back to the top of the donut because I wanted the rigs to have matching shrooms )
