Puffit orders placed as late as 6/14 have been shipped. No info on any later dates. The black color is out of stock and all units shipped this week are pink. ;)

Pink? Seriously? That is the best news I've heard so far!!!

Pink will NOT work for me.

Jenny, which reviews/comments changed your mind somewhat about getting the Puffit?

btw: called GV and the rep said it would definitely NOT be pink, that they are only getting black ones. ?? Previous poster on black being out of stock care to comment?

Also rep said they are filling orders next week including mine (ordered July 11) and I should have it by Friday. That means everyone before me should get theirs too. I won't be surprised if I get it a week late though.

I can't really pinpoint the actual reviews that helped make my decision, but overall what I've read sounds great and being a girly girl, the fact it'll be pink now is a major plus. I have literally read this whole thread, and once I saw GV employees commented and getting caught, I was pretty turned off by getting this device, but reading the actual reviews from people on FC, I thought id still give it a shot. The fact that it's such a stealth device appeals to me...

I think the reps at GV got tripped up a bit in the usual process of introducing a new product. The manufacturer gives a date for delivery, the import company (if there is one) gives a date to the marketing company (GV) to tell their sales reps. The dates are all affected by factors (like customs) which can add delay for one reason or another. The actual ship date given out by sales reps is the only one they know.

My only real prob with GV is that the product showed up as being "In Stock" during the online purchase process. That wasn't the sales reps fault, that's management, so we can't really get mad at them, they are just doing their job. I don't think they are lying, just dealing with dates they were given by their boss.

Since the Puffit is so popular already, GV has a stake in being up front about it so they can keep a hold on the market. They should correct the whole "In Stock" issue now though.

Things will settle down when supply meets demand.

Anyone who ordered after July 3 should get theirs a bit quicker, as I just cancelled my order.

Decided to wait it out. Looking forward to reviews!

Why smoke and die, when you can vape and fly?
Hi Guys. CEO of Lilly Rucky Ltd. here I'm glad there is some interest in our new Product the PUFFiTTM part of the new and exciting Discreet Vape brand.

Hi CEO, After reading your FAQs, I added the Puffit to my ever-lengthening shortlist (that includes Da Vinci, Inhalater, Ploom Pax, Thermovape, and Vaporfection miVape).

Will it be available from australianvaporizers.com.au? If not, do you ship overseas?

(And BTW, is Ripley's amazing 'Believe It Or Not' exhibition still showing at the HK Peak?)

In use: iolite (noisy, and only one temperature setting) MFLB (fiddly and too-frequent battery changes) Arizer Solo (less than discreet when walking the street)

I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure. :uhoh:

Had a blast with it today at Seaworld and walking around downtown outside of the convention center during comicon. I really think DogMan is right that we are overestimating the publics knowledge. When I needed to reload, I just ducked into a bathroom stall for a refill.

On another poster's suggestion I bought these for carryng extra meds:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002EZT9S8/ref=oh_details_o02_s01_i00

The opening is the perfect size for a quick reload and each one holds enough for 3-4 bowls.

the inside cap stir tool isnt that useful. It if could stay in the cap it would be ok, but you can't seal the cap with the stir tool in place. I find that tapping the sides into the palm of your hand works just find for "stirring"

If you have one on order and are thinking of cancelling, I wouldn't. I really think you will be pleased.

I haven't had that problem. Mine's been in since day one more out of laziness than necessity. The stir tool doesn't really do much.

I see the ;) after my post didn't work. No they're not shipping pink vapes. I'd say the vape would have to become extremely popular for them to ever consider pink as a color, since most vape buyers are male.

While it's true that dealers/resellers can unjustly end up taking the blame for manuf. delays, Gotvape management clearly likes to bullshit customers with their 'partially shipped' label applied to orders when it actually means the product is backordered. IMO it's stupid and only makes them look bad, since obviously an order consisting of one product can't be partially shipped. As for 'in stock', I'm not sure their system is set up to display anything different when they're taking orders and allowing a product to be added to the cart. On many dealer sites an item is either labeled as 'in stock', and able to be purchased, or the 'in stock' label is removed, indicating 'out of stock', and the buyer has to wait. They made it clear that all orders were 'pre orders', and the $30 discount reflected that. The discount code no longer works and apparently they have a good supply now.

Gotvape seems to get most of the 'main distributor' deals with vape makers, due to the size of the company, but here at FC we know the dealers that want to be known as providing the best service, and Gotvape isn't one of them. The misleading 'partially shipped' label is a good example of that. Hopefully some other (good) dealers will get the chance to be the main distributor in the future.

End editorial rant and back to the topic. Puffit shouldn't be penalized right off the bat for production/shipping delays. Bad things can happen to good companies. VapeXhale is a perfect example of that. Hopefully this will be another quality vape from a good, service oriented company.

It could be useful, depending on how (much) you load. Puffit doesn't seem to think it's necessary/useful in most cases, but I think the rationale is that if it helps some users, why not include it?

A few taps on the side should redistribute the contents of the oven, just like my MFLB. I'm wondering if you can use a very small amount in the Puffit though since I never load more than a pinch or so at a time into the LB.

Also since I use a very fine grind, is the screen in the Puffit as fine as the one in the MFLB?

Perhaps the Puffit rep can answer those questions?

Ohnoes! I'm post 666!!!

In my experience you can effectively load a tiny amount in any vape, although in a lot of cases you have to wait for the effect in order to tell you've gotten a hit.

is the screen in the Puffit as fine as the one in the MFLB?
I doubt it. The unique MF design requires and allows that really fine mesh. Most other vapes need a coarser screen for the necessay air flow.

I think on the Puffit web site they say to grind it as fine as you can..

Again, in my experience, the super fine grind that suits the super fine screen of the MF is the only vape where you'd want a grind "as fine as you can" get it. There's no point in using a grind so fine that you can suck a lot of herb particles through the screen. I've had cases where really dry herb turns to powder when ground, and it can be so fine that it impedes air flow. I'm just speaking in general terms, since I haven't seen the Puffit screen yet, but I have used a lot of different models, and most do just fine with a medium to coarse grind.
