That sucks
I had my hopes up there, until that check out page....
That's why I said TV is actually competitive but need to order other stuff to make it worth while.
They should through in a couple batteries for every $XX spent on other goodies. Would be a good incentive for sales.
TV? Though I'd throw that out there.

Anyone know of other suppliers? The initial advertised price can be very deceiving once you go to the check out and find out the real cost. Some Ecig suppliers have low shipping available like MadVapes for example. No tracking but in my experience there is no difference in delivery time. Also, the cheapest way is NOT the default but rather an option. Never read the small print but suspect using that method waives any claims of non-receipt of product.

So far I can not find that particular battery from the ecig stores I usually order from.

I tend to get larger hits, quicker on the T1, than on the Evo, but the Evo works well, just takes a few more seconds to heat up... each has their strong points. It's hard to decide for other people which works best for them.

I agree. In a flat out race T1 seems to win more often for me. Over time, Evolution is faster since you don't have to stir probably? Fine lines for sure.

I really like the 'deciding for others'. You've heard the old joke of the old woman at the eye doctor giving him fits trying to work out the lenses. Finally she says, 'you know, picking out the frames is the easy part of glasses shopping for a friend...'.

Edit: There's a lot of 'fun' chatter about how TV should be giving special battery prices to special folks. I think it's dead now as the markup isn't all that big really?

But, please, let's take a step back and ask each other how reasonable it is to expect General Motors to sell you new tires for your car at deep discounts......after all they too buy in bulk..... OF

To play devil's advocate here, there is a chance Government Motors could put a good deal more tires on the road, so to speak, if one were to receive lifetime wholesale tires installed on their GM vehicle. Just sayin', there are many ways to sell a car, or skin a cat for that matter. That said, I would agree that TV has no obligation to philanthropically sell product for no profit, unless that's part of their calculated business/marketing plan; which is entirely their prerogative.

1) I didn't realize a 137% markup was not that big. That is over double incase math is not your forte.

2) Is it really that unreasonable for them to sell them to us at the price they pay. They are not creating any batteries, they are just ordering in bulk. As I said I doubt profits from batteries are vital to their business model.

3) It would be completely unreasonable to expect General Motors to sell new tires for your car at deep discounts. But there is a big difference between batteries for a vape and tires from General motors. I don't understand why you use an analogy with two things that are not similar in ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM.

Jesus man, just don't buy your batteries from Thermovape if you think they charge too much and have a better source

Obviously I'm not going to. If you read my original post it was asking Tim if they could sell us the batteries at the discounted rate they get them at or update the price on their website for the batteries.

Edit: And it's not thinking they charge too much. They ARE charging too much. You can find the batteries anywhere for cheaper.

Great! Ignoring the 'everywhere for cheaper' part, capitalism demands you buy there then, right? Post a few links and help others out.....if that's the goal here??? Lay out the facts and let 'the guys' form their own opinions?

^there you go a clear warning for everybody. And they can decide for themselves if they want to pay double the market price.

Futuretvowner,
@Tim

Is there anyway you guys can sell us the batteries at the wholesale price you pay? At this point the price for one set on your website is over $4 more than if we buy them on amazon. I'm sure you guys buy in mass quantities so you probably get them at a very discounted rate. I see no reason why you guys can't take no profit on the batteries and get them to us at the cheapest possible price.

Just re-quoting this because it seems my question has once again been derailed by people who seem to speak on behalf of the company...... FTV

IF YOU WANT TO BUY YOUR BATTERIES FOR HALF OF THE PRICE THAT THERMOVAPE SELLS THEM FOR GO TO THIS LINK

I just went through the motions and not too too bad. 28 + 18.50 shipping + 15% tax + brokerage = around $60. For me that is not that bad. The first run in with batteries and Amazon was for 4 so most of the cost was not the batteries. At least here it's only double.
Thanks Ftvo
Think I'll pull the trigger for these puppies.

Not really a fair comparison as I would have to order 4 for $20 + around another 20 but last time from Amazon for 4 it ended up about the same. So that been the case I'd prefer to give my money to the TV folks. However, it's a free country and thanks to this forum and you I found some cheaper enough to sway my loyalty. I think TV most likely do not deal a lot of quantity and must have a descent mark up to survive. Although there might be other ways to use the batteries as a marketing tool for other sales incentives as stated before. But that is just a wild wishful idea.
I do not believe no one here would like to see them go under. In fact they let us all know when they got a new peice of equipment to double their output and thus passed savings on. The cost of a T1 set-up dropped from $250 to $200. And they let us all know why. That impressed even me.

Think we need a group hug.

Futureowner, I really don't know what you expect to achieve going on and on about the batteries. It's not like any of us in the forum can make it change, and to keep belly aching about it isn't helping anything improve. This is 2 pages thick, and I don't see how any of this is going to resolve in this manor, can we please move on? We get it, you don't like the price. Sorry, if this seems rude, I am usually pretty tolerant, but this seems to be dragging out, and it's not productive. You are fully entitled to feel the way you do, but we don't have to agree with you, and it really is a mute point, so why keep going on and on about it?

Look at my post above. If you don't like what I have to say don't read it I honestly don't care. I helped a fellow forum reader find a good deal on batteries and have showed users that there are cheaper options and ways for them to save money on batteries. More productive than the post you just made.

Futuretvowner,
you have already posted that 3 times... you are basically hijacking the thread.
I'm hijacking the thread yet you have made two posts that have nothing to do with the vape..... You are aware that Tim reads this thread right? Because according to you "It's not like any of us in the forum can make it change." I was posing the question for the engineer of the vape who reads this forum. I posted a single question about whether or not they could offer us the batteries at wholesale and then started to get responses from people who have NO affiliation with the company as to why they can't do it. All I'm waiting for is a simple yes or no from the Makers of TV who read this forum, yet there are about 5 or 6 people who think they are responsible for answering a question that they physically can't answer.

Well, you have clearly made your point, and if you are trying to get the attention of the TV guys, maybe a direct email would bring better results for you, if you don't want to see other people's reactions to your comments. I have no problem with you posting your opinion, but you are repeating yourself over and over, and pushing the point into the ground. It's just not productive. I am not sure what your point is with my posts, or why you are choosing to carry on in this manor, but it feels mildly abusive to me.

If you did not want poeple to discuss the reasons why or why not something may or may not happen... you should not post it in the forum. Posting anything on this site leaves it open for discussion to anyone. If all you wanted was a simple yes or no from the manufacturer, then you should have sent it directly to the manufacturer.

So.... the grip tape I put on my T1 switch seems to be working pretty good, and staying stuck down. It's actually pretty cool, it super grippy, and makes the switch feel much more effortless to activate. You can see in this photo how big of a roll I got for $6 shipped...

it's the big roll behind the solo says MOB GRIP on it... oh, and I am using the TV glass adapter on my PVHES solo stem, it fits right in there...

I thought about getting some of that grip tape. There are several things I could see myself using it on. I don't think I need such a big roll though. I assume it is skateboard tape... does that mean it is the size of a skateboard? If so that is ALLOT of tape.

There's a difference between discussing and derailing. I thought on a forum full of adults the "@Tim" would make it clear I'm phrasing my question for him.
