Looking good, I am waiting for my T1 to show up, then I plan to post a pic of my spread... it's a happy family of various portable vaporizers on my desk... and my love for the Evo grows

ditto. they new ones will cut off if tightened all the way, but if left cracked, works fine

That would be the issue, if it can't draw easily from below through the center of the adapter then it gets choked off when tight. File a couple of notches in the top edge of the adapter (like the ones in the socket of the power supply) and you're no longer dependent on that route. The seal is there for the auto switching 601 e-cig supplies out there, not for us.

If your unit draws better loose a bit, I think it's time to think about the slots. Otherwise it's going to get tighter (and choke it off) or looser (and break contact and stall out) when you don't want it to.

I guess I may be the odd individual out, I tighten mine all the way and it still works. Just tried it again and made sure the adapter was on tight as possible. Go figure.

oh, sounds like you got the solid adapters, I wonder if there can be a request put in for the standard ones at e-cigz. Maybe I should hang on tight to the ones I got from the last batch, they have the center air hole. I have contacts with over seas mnf. from my early ecig days, maybe I should put in a request for a small batch, and go into business...hahaha

That is the one I have Jam, one center hole.

I just added this to my sabortouch upgrade http://vapormoon.com/Saber_Flashlight.html
and wonder if Thermovape has any plans to add something like this to the mix of extras? It is a good idea, lets you "disguise" your device and a cool feature to have.
i know the "other guys" posted something about that here or somewhere else as a future upgrade, makes sense, would be nice for TV battery users to have as well

No, it will draw from below, through the center tube....if that goes some place. Sometimes the power supply is sealed up to keep leaks out (I assume) from below. This forces the air to try to leak past the threads on the lower end of the adapter (which basically doesn't happen). So, if your power supply is sealed, you need notches to vent at the top. Even if it's not sealed below, it will still pull easier with the notches.

My adapter from e cigz got a try out today and to my dismay:bang: it does not let air in to the omi cart. It has a center hole. Can someone explain how to mod it and what tools I will need ? Thanks

I don't agree. Ones with vents above will always work for us. Ones with holes only work on some power supplies. The ideal ones have vents on the top surface, like the one's TV sells.

While I enjoy the quality of the TV universal adapter, I find the threads are a bit too small in diameter and delicate. Mine was tight at one point but it slowly started chewing up my socket and adapter threads because they only make contact on the very, very edge where the threads are thin and weak.

How it started (is very loose, just did it for the picture, would be very hard to use due to wobble):

The only way it currently sits... :

Does the aftermarket alternative seat more securely?

Looks to me like you should try the one Planet Vapes, made to put 510 on the omicron/persei threading. The one I got from PV fits nice and snug, no cross threading going on.

Oh ok thanks for the info, the TV one is supposed to do 510 to m601 too but I guess it's meant to fit better with some other m601 device? (Is there one?)

So is what you guys need is the opposite of the adapter we make now? A female m601 with a male 510 thread for going onto a ThermoVape platform (or any other 510 compatible device)?

Do we have this right?

Male 510, female 601 so Omi carts can be used with TV batteries
Femaie 510, male 601 so the TV carts can be used on the Omi batteries.
That seems to be what people are looking for either one or the other.

that is exactly what I want but I would want the problem with the delicate threads Joe kickass mentioned to be resolved

If you like large clouds but are having trouble getting them with your evo check out this little experiment.

This was the second time I tried this. I am sure I can do better. ... I tried it a couple more times and one time I went to long and it tasted close to smokey.

You are using the bottom part of the Dart 6V, with a zap stem? that is ingenious! :D
