That is what mine looks like and there are no positive negative markings. So would positive go to the logo side?

after looking at mine much closer i noticed there are "+/-" markings on it. look closely into each channel slot. they are hard to see but they are there. the positive is up top and the negative on the bottom.

at least on my HG-1206W this is the case.

will do. thanks for the heads up. im also looking into the XTAR charger seen here.

http://www.orbtronic.com/batteries-...-18650-14500-cr123-3.7v-batteries-xtar-wp2-II

as for the other charger discussed above... i looked at mine it is also the HG-1206W. so i suppose i do have the same one that ships with the Omi V2 kit. i wasnt using it because i thought it may have been junk, but if V2 owners are getting good results then ill likely start to use it.

Never looked into that one, it wouldn't work for me as the low charge rate is too fast for some of the cells I want to charge. FWIW, I think the 188 is a great machine for most uses and is about the same bucks:
http://www.lighthound.com/Ultrafire...3-37-volt-Lithium-Battery-Charger_p_3669.html

Others have it cheaper, but I've used these guys before. Your call.

Good hunting.

Yep, I think I said that before so I'd better not argue now. Why they make it so hard to find I've no idea. I guess they already knew......

Thanks.

Hey all, I've been lurking for some time now and have been vaping for years. I currently use a home made method of a stainless allen-head bolt/glass pipe that works great. I make my own bho also. I am in need of an easier/mobile way of vaping. I am only interested in vaping bho. I am about to take the plunge and leaning towards the O-Phos. I know the Persei is way more than I "need". I like the fact that the v2 has replaceable batteries, but I really like the pass through on the O-Phos. This question goes out to those who have both the v2 and an O-Phos. For my application, Is there any good reason to purchase a v2 over the O-Phos? Also, if I purchase from PlanetVape.ca (to take advantage of the FC discounts), does THC honor the warranty or do I have to deal with PlanetVape.ca? Thanks in advance.

P.S. I have read this thread, and the other THCScientific threads. So if I asked something already mentioned, I am sorry. This a huge amount of information, and I am burnt out trying to consolidate it.

my charger is not working properly. Red light goes on then off with battery in it. Have to continue to move battery around to get good connection. Doing one battery at a time. Battery was not dead but had done 100 or more 7 seconds hits so thought i charge. ?Worked for one charge but now acting funky. I don't have good eyes and have used magnifier but I sure dont see + - in channels. But I will put + toward the light.

So can someone explain concept behind instrument. is it the longer u press button heating element up or dropping more oil on element and keeping it constant temp? Or each time u press and release is that when u release oil? And where is the oil not vaped go. Most swing vapes get a coating on glass from remains etc.

If use to doing 5 swing vapes how do u compare omincron. Would 5 single heats be same effect?

Thanks

First off, you're welcome, I hope I can help. While I don't have an O-Phos I have several V1s, a V2 and a Persei. I agree with your assessment above, O-Pos is plenty of machine for your needs. The original V1s (still available at PV) would also work, cheaper but no pass through. Yes, PV is an authorized vendor, unlike others. I'm sure THC will fix problems for you, although there may be an advantage to PV, they're really good folks IMO. AFAIK discounts don't apply to THC products but you still save tax (if you're in state) and shipping (over $130).

I'd also suggest you order a box of carts from PV to get over the $130, you can mix, I'd get a few 1.5s to play with later, but 2.4 Ohm ones are probably a better general call, especially at first.

Good luck, I'm betting it serves you well.

That's the right way, plus end to the light. The other way sure won't work.

OK, here goes. At the bottom of the tube, just above the connector is a tiny coil wrapped around a short bundle of silica fibers like a bit of yarn half and inch or so long. The coil is in the center. That lot is inside a ceramic chamber about ths size of a pea which is inside the tube immersed in the concentrate with the ends of the wick sticking out of the ceramic furnace. A second heater is wound around the outside of the furnace to heat the concentrate to feed. A small tube lets air into the furnace, a flue leads up through the center to deliver the fumes the air sweeps out.

You key it on, the element in the center heats the concentrate under it which evaporates off to be replaced by more liquid being sucked up the wick.

Some models time out after about seven seconds, some don't. Which model do you have?

There is no release of oil per se, it's absorbed into the wick like in a kerosene lamp. The oil doesn't go anywhere but up the flue (vaped off) or leaks out the bottom. Some of the junk burns onto the heater and eventually stalls it out.

I'm not a big dab user, but the Omicron hits run about 2 to 3 mg each typically, say 300 to the gram? A typical dab is what 10 or 15 to the gram? 20 or 30 times more THC? You can do the math. It's more efficient, of course, but not really magic.

You're welcome. I forgot the two free carts. To show you what a class act they are there, they sent me a pair for the Omicrons I got from them retroactively.....I didn't know the special was on when I ordered, but they sent them to me anyway....paid the postage too, IIRC. When it came time to buy the next for the next friend, guess where I went?

Good luck. You're sure to come up a winner either way if you asked me.

OF you need to be paid for what you do my man! You must have kids I assume lol.

Naw, taught a fair number of other folk's though....does that count? Lots more adults to do lots of different 'vocational skills' in various Industrial Arts over the years. Kids are entirely different than adults. They learn by rote, adults build skill sets one step at a time. Unless they understand this step, the next is dicey, the one following unsupported and they're doomed. Once a guy understands the process under his control, there's almost no way short of lying to stop him. Wait long enough and even lies won't change it. Kids can recover from 'bad education', adults not so much so. Women, especially, give you one chance to get it right. And they expect you to do just that or not waste their time. Fun difference.

Hey, I've always had a cat or two around, sometimes it seems like a children....'cept they can't grow up and sue you. Or join the odd 50 million adults who've moved back in with their parents....that's a scary trend for you if you asked me.

So, I used to do it for money, now it's for sport. Lots of good folks have given me freely of their sage advice over the years, I've got a chance for some paybapck......and I'm taking it.

Thanks for the kind words.

Gentle Friends,

I've just had a most pleasant turn of events around our favorite bulk concentrate carts. A few days ago I was shopping at Harborside in San Jose with the BIL. For those that don't know it, this is the 'smaller sister' of Harborside Oakland, Steve from 'Weed Wars' place. First class, 100% tested stuff. On the menu was Pure Gold for $30 a half (normally $40), but it came in a new package. A tiny little vial with a cork. I'd heard stories that this was bulk oil being 'put up' locally (denied by the store manager who wondered by and chatted some). It looks and works like the real deal to me, the vial is engraved like the larger one that used to contain the capsule. So I got a couple to try out. I also got some spare carts, seven bucks a copy, $32 a box! Basically show price (plus tax, of course). This was a few days back.

This morning I decided to load one up and try it out against the PG cart I have going. I reflexively reached for my trusty number 10 funnel (which I flared out to a perfect fit with a screwdriver blade) and the oil soaked toothpick end in the little plastic bag with it I keep for such things. On a whim I pulled the loading tool from my new V2 and looked at it. I'd bought a couple when they first came out and was disappointed with the bulk and poor fit so went back to my trusty cake tip (free from PV at the time). The thin cake funnel seemed more responsive to heating. When I wasn't paying attention G went and fixed the tool. It's much lighter and fits better by far. I decided to use it. I lined up the slots and then discovered the vial fits neatly down the tool and rests squarely on the bridge holding the plug for the tube. All I did is stand it up on end (upside down and corkless of course) at room temperature for a while, it drained right in on it's own. No heat needed. There's a tiny bit left in the vial that's now settling back down off the walls, I'l have a second go with it sometime but for now we have a flameless, no brainer load that works great. No priming either. I didn't run the cart at all (2.4 Ohm) before loading to test this point out.

I put it on my VV head, and turned it down to 3.0 Volts and tried a quick hit. Instant vapor, the wick was primed and ready to go. A dozen or so hits later in two sessions over several hours and not a sign of a leak or any issues at all. I'm thinking of turning the voltage up to 'normal' 3.7 levels (really closer to 3.3 it seems) but for now it's such a treat right where it is. IMO the combination of 'tasteless' carts (when that happens), these vials and that loading tool will make those first loads 'falling off a log simple' for the new guys. And hit PG a bit too much and falling over is exactly what you're likely to do. If you get a chance, try it out.

You wouldn't happen to know if they have the same deal at Oakland Harborside by any chance? I know they have the carts @7, but they haven't had PG in the past when I've checked.

Last time I was in they didn't either. And they don't do answers on the phone (or maybe they just don't like me?). Other tasty stuff, and a free two hit brownie to ease your pain over the drive down?

Good luck. PG is cool for sure.

Thanks that helps . So the longer u hold the button the hotter the heat so more combustion and vapor?
Releasing and holding several times should increase the amount of vapor. So what does the 1.4 do allow more heat and vapor?

Appreciate ur knowledge

Yup: more button = hotter

But if it gets too hot you'll notice the vapor fade away as the heater vapes it off from the sides before it can flow into the center of the wick.

You probably won't see this with 2.4 ohm carts, but if you try 1.5 ohm carts you will notice the heater ramp-up is much more intense and you will need to push the button much less to avoid drying out the heater/wick.

Joe nails it again. At the risk of repeating myself yet again, there's a lot of pitfalls with the 1.5 Ohm carts, best to master the 2.4 first. If it was as easy as 'buy the 1.5 to get more vapor' don't you think the maker would not bother with sending you 2.4 Ohm units? Or making them in the first place? Again I know you want to hear 'for bigger clouds, just by 1.5s instead' but I can't say it in clear conscience. Sorry, but it's the way it is.

And I think we still need to work on our basic understanding here. There is no combustion going on. Notice the forum name? We don't do combustion. That's the whole idea. You heat the concentrate up enough and the THC evaporates off (hence 'vape' as a slang name) much like a pan of water on the stove does before boiling. That temperature is about 400 degrees. Combustion happens about about 450 (not a wide window to work in) and when it does adds lots of energy so heat skyrockets and with it all sorts of nasty chemicals and stuff we don't like.

In the Omicron that's done electrically with the coil. But you are part of the control for that process. With 2.4 Ohm carts it's hard to get into too much trouble, its almost unavoidable with 1.5s unless you're already sharp. Hang on it too long and you'll make a proper mess of it. You want to drive the freeways, I know, everyone does. First I suggest you learn to drive around the parking lot without hitting anything, then some quiet side streets? It won't take all that long, you'll know when you're ready.

Your call.

I strongly suspect it will make no difference. They're going to have a huge old pile of them. Easy enough to 'open a ticket' and ask?

I generally find PG works for about 1.5-3.0G before the vapor production tapers or they leak too much. Pure Gold disappears like water in 2.4 ohm carts and 1.5's just make it worse.

$30 out the door for PG at Cannaculture. Both kinds....
