A vap cap is just a tool like a Lamborghini is just a car.

So the Omni has a smaller internal diameter than the other stems which lets it be used without a condenser?
No, it’s not about the diameter. It’s that the Omni condenser can be unscrewed from the Omni mouthpiece, and the mouthpiece alone can press fit into a stem. The other, spinning, mouthpieces need the condenser to hold them onto the device—it goes through them like an axle.

OHHHHHH so it’s the Omni mouthpiece that’s bigger than regular mouthpieces. Thank you!

I haven’t played with the adjustable airflow feature enough to decide if I like or don’t like it. Thus far I’ve just kept it wide open and used the carb, which has been more than fine, so maybe I need to disassemble my Omni’s, use those for custom stems, and pick up a spinning mouthpiece and condenser for the Omni. Mmmm... spinning mouthpiece with titanium Omni body? I get chills...

I also wish we had a thumbs-down button.
This actually could be cool. Like YouTube videos have a thumbs up and thumbs down. Hmmm... now that I think about it is that kind of an invitation for trolls?

So when is the next dynasale?

I haven't checked yet, too lazy, but I don't believe the omni mp is larger than the spinning mp.

For me, the Omni's carb & mp, both wide-open, is still too much draw resistance for my taste. Same with the M17, but noticeably better than the Omni. So, hence, both are condenserless. Although I do have one M17 with an XL condenser & spin. mp. Now the M18 with the larger carb & redesigned tip gives me perfect airflow.

You’re right, they’re the same size. In fact, the I believe first spinning mouthpieces were cut from Omnis that didn’t come out right above the mouthpiece.

That part above the mouthpiece that the Omni condenser screws into (and the o-rings on it) is actually what makes the difference and lets the Omni mouthpiece stay in without a condenser.

Not sure I get the bold part.
You have an Omni that you removed the condenser and are only using the mouthpiece in the stem/body. Carb wide open letting the air flow through the whole time? To reduce draw resistance?

Yes, I have both an omni & M17 that I am using just w/ the omni mp & no condenser. Well, I do have to feather the carb hole to draw the vapor through so it's not continuously open. Someone else, in the recent past, mentioned the with the omni mp assembly fully open, they also thought the airflow was on the restrictive side. What can I tell you, that's my experience.

@Summer
Different strokes I guess.
Sounds like it's just an expensive mouthpiece now, and not getting the full benefit of the omni since you have to locate the carb to create the vapor or else your just inhaling air.
When is it to restrictive? Cause either way, you need restriction at some point to get vapor out. Right?

For me it not that it’s restrictive, it’s that I’m so used to a carb on my pipes from combustion days it feels weird without it. And if I’m using the carb anyway, I might as well have the Omni set to wide open.

Have some wooden carbless pipes on the way though, so maybe that will change.

Hello friends!

I hope all has been well! I Decided to pack the family up and go to Kentucky on vacation, last week. During that time I had some more ideas that I wanted to work on. As I’m always thinking about accessories and things that I can make, I wanted to execute some of them when I got back home.

So I started playing more with Stems that have integrated Condensers, I’ve got the process down really well. I’m not only offering longer stems 3”+ but I also wanted to offer stems that are the same length as the Standard/M series as well as the XL! Each one will fit in the Smell Proof Stashes I make, so I can make a matching set (next thing I will be doing)

I also have pictured below my current EDC which is an Ebony stem with integrated condenser (3.5”) A Cloak and a Square desk stand. I’m calling this whole set “Incognito” as it is very sleek and nobody knows what it is until I show them! (Also have my acrylic smell proof stashx that’s always sitting on my desk filled with cannabis haha)

What do you guys think!?

I know everybody on this thread has high expectations and I get the best constructive criticism on here!

You can see how you like carbless now, with that little omni in your mitts.
You can dial it closed to go carb free. Or you can dial it to allow just a bit of cool air to mix in with the vapor. My jams.
It's not really much of a carb, not really much to release like old combustion pipes. More of an Air port. ;)

Yeah I guess I meant I definitely prefer the control of a carb at the moment (although I agree the carb on the vapcaps is more of a vent), but I may learn to love vapcaps without it when I am forced to go without on a few custom stems.

Watched the dynavap live. Still no heater. Sigh... Oh well. I’m glad they want it to be perfect before it’s released.

George talked about the IH yesterday, and it seems on a good path (7th or 8th revision yet!)
They want it as perfect as possible so it'll take some time but he shows a mug IH aand the circuit board too.

There's even a lucky gal that won one

Great show yesterday with a lot of good tips about heating.
I still can't get why/how Dynavap is not more popular in Europe? I never heard of them in Italy nor in France, i never saw someone with a Vapcap in the street or public gathering.
Cannabis legislation has obviously something to do with it (France is #1 cannabis consumer in Europe, still illegal; Italy has a grey zone for CBD cannabis) but i see people smoking weed sometimes (i even smell them more often from a distance).
And if it was only a public restraint and people knew about that great device they would talk about it in private.
Apart from pushing for legalisation what can we do to spread the good word and help them adopt that healthy and fun habit?

It was a great DV Live last night.

First, you should know that Dynavap is in fact very popular in Europe. You mention not seeing vapcaps out and about, but how many vapes do you see out in the wild in general? Any? I don't and I live in a legal state. They're there; make no mistake.

Vaping may be the fastest growing part of the cannabis industry but it's still in it's nascent stages.

How can you help? Same way we did here: friend to friend, social media, and recommending to folks here on other thread where folks ask for vaporizer referrals.

I've given away an Omni, '17 M, and will be giving away an '18 M in a week or so. The next time you're in a group and enjoying cannabis show 'em what you got. Show 'em how to use it. That's usually all it takes. It's worked for me that way.

I should have been more precise:
i meant that vaping is out for some time now and ecigs are very popular in France for example.
But when it comes to cannabis people still hang to the old habits and most of the one i meet never heard of vaping.
If i try to proselytise they seem interested first but then when in usual circles they don't bother with new mode of consuming.
Still in a nascent stage surely, but i don't get the different speed of adopting rate between ecigs/ cannabis.
George answered a journalist who asked if there were testing unit, that should be a good thing. Another would be get the vaporisers in the hands of people with a lot of visibility (it's not about hype, it's about people seeking example in those under the spotlight).
I already do what i can, believe me but i usually experiment the same response:
1- cool
2- convenient, i should buy one
then in their circle don't bother to try further (as the others are still combusting and no one vapes)
I even tried to give one M and my friend honestly told me he wouldn't use it.
(more interested in the big hits and clouds of the StickyBrick Junior, but i don't have the money for that kind of casual gifts :D )

What you speak of is normal human behavior. People are in general slow to adopt new things. Especially around things that are often ritualistic. I still have friends who don't want to buy micro-brews in cans because of the stigma cans have in the US. Canned beer=Bad Beer. And it doesn't. In fact cans are easier and cheaper to recycle and do a better job of keeping beer fresh and away from light that is bad for it.

I've been pushing friends, family and audience members for over 4 decades to legalize cannabis. Keep pushing and leading by example it'll happen.

As for people of a high profile. Yeah, but I also understand why folks are shy. There's a stigma and it's still illegal in many states in the US and most countries around the world. I'm not high profile, but I'm very open about my use and love of cannabis, in writing, from the stage, in social media.

But NOT on video.

I have to be uber careful on my YouTube channel; I can't afford to lose that 'stream' so I've made sure there's nothing about cannabis on it. And I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

Be patient. Be active, talk it up, walk the walk, and lead by example. Big changes start with small steps. Always have, always will.

Words of wisdom. I'll always be advocating for legalisation & vaping as it is such a better way to experience cannabis.
I understand for the youtube restrictions (and if i remember well some others like Dynavap never talk about cannabis but coffee bean and other things :brow:)
To set the cat amongst the pigeons imagine some famous star (say Brad Pitt... as he is known to be one of us, intended as cannabis lover) on major newspapers using a Vapcap, that would speed up the process.
(if i were Dynavap i would send some of my devices to celebrities known to be keen on cannabis, that couldn't hurt)

You're absolutely right it would help. The problem is, most of those stars, even the cool stoner guys would expect $, and lots of it. Hell, they make money off of their Twitter accounts. Or, they'd want a piece of the company. Look how George Clooney made over $250,000,000 in the liquor world, and Ryan Reynolds is trying to do the same.

It'll happen, but I do think it'll take the US Federal Government making changes at the Federal level before most of what we're discussing can happen. I know there's a bill in the House, but don't know where it sits.

I'm going to look at offering vape workshops once the recreational market in MA settles in. It'd be a no-brainer for the medical side too. It would be a way for the shops to offer something educational and show they truly care about their customers too. And of course, if they have any sense, they'll start carrying vaporizers.

EDIT: And in hopes of keeping @Stu happy; after last night's Dynavap Live, and because my IH died, I ordered an alcohol lamp. I typically use my vapcaps at night, and this seems like such a nice serene way to heat the caps that I couldn't resist.

Months ago there was a bit of consternation among coffeeshop owners in The Netherlands because of the political proposal to prohibit smoking in cafes...including coffeeshops. I see it as a chance for the vaping industry. Imagine that you walk into a coffeeshop, buy some herbs and that you can choose a vape to buy. And which vape is very simple to use, affordable, sturdy and gives good vapor? VC for the win.

I had an opportunity to visit and hang out at a medical dispensary in CA in '11. They made box/whip vapes available to patients. The whips were all sterilized after every use and kept in sealed bags to be handed out to patrons. So yeah.

I was intrigued by that idea also. Can you report back your findings, and maybe a link if you like the burner you got? Seems like effortless super cheap vapcap heating.

Here's what I got: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NIBG3T0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I was happy to discover that it'll work with the 99% ISO I have so I'll be able to try it out when it arrives on Sunday. The two things I like least about torches are the hiss and having to hold the button down. I have two single flame torches that I can lock open, but that doesn't eliminate the hiss.

I actually enjoy the act of twirling the vapcap, as well as 'painting' it with flame. I'm a bit of a pyro (aren't we all?). I use my vapcaps almost exclusively at night, where the hiss can be a bit unsettling.

I'm a romantic at heart, and I really like the idea of sitting down in my easy chair on a cool fall evening, and twirling my Omni XL or a @DDave Water Wand over a gentle flame while contemplating some new guitar tuning.

If it works out, I won't miss my IH much, and I'll hold out for a future DV IH. I personally love the idea of the thermos look which will be perfect both for home and away.

I wish there was a “double like” option instead of just “like”. A billion percent agree with all of this.

Where do I find 99 iso though? All my stuff is 70.

I get my 99% ISO through Amazon. It has to ship by ground so it takes a while. But it's a decent deal. And from what I've read you need 90% ISO or higher for the lamp to function well.
