Cooldown mode hasn't been an issue for me except for once. I mostly use my switch in a air conditioned room and even after using self cleaning mode twice back to back I was still able to use my switch right away. There another time when I wasn't home and it was hot day and I used self clean mode and had to wait about 5 mins for cool down then I hit it once and it had to cool down right away again. As long as I'm in a cool room I have no issues.

I also can no longer find the accessories on site. Hoping they get some more items up. The glass bubbler is nice but with my disability it can be a challenge one handed. What I would really like to see is more a sturdy stem that fits into the base.
Over all I been enjoying the switch. For my needs it's fulfilled a vacant spot in my collection. Most of my gripes are minor. At this point it's saving me a little cash. Instead of vaping fresh meds before bed I been using up some of the abv from early in day. Been using the mighty on highest setting. I still get clouds from that abv with the switch. Beats tossing it in the garden.
Yes i woulda said yuck abv it's for me not that bad, much better tasting than smoking. With most of the THC vaped earlier it still has cbd left. Finding the cbd helps me with sleep. Much safer than sleeping pills. Somethings in life are a trade off.
With fresh meds I been using less per cup. Find if I keep draw time short, then ride lingering heat I can get 3-4 nice tasty hits. That is without meds turning black.
Hard one to recommend to a hardcore vaporist in it's current setup. I do feel a better herb attachment would help there.
Where I can see it doing really well is same as stickstones. Great for people that enjoy smoking, doing big bong rips and oils. My smoker friend loves it. Maybe not as healthy as just vaping. Feel it's better than smoking.
Vaporizer although growing still not as mainstream as smoking. I can see a device like this helping to make the switch from smoking to vaping. It's closer looking to a smoking rig than a vaporizer. They get closer to a smoking taste hit effect. Plus it's easy to explain use. Hit button and inhale when light turns green.
With it in stock now hopefully we will get more feedback. Right now only few have the switch in hand. Interested in hearing more people thoughts on it over time.

When it broke I contacted dr dabber about it and they offered me a slight discount which is why I went for the fumed glass... they do have it avail if you contact them about it but its not listed at the moment.

Yikes that doesn't look good. I hope this isn't going be a common issue. I figured the cups would need to be replaced, but wow not this quick.
I wish there prices where not so high for shipping. Misplaced the cup cover and it's more to ship it than item cost. Sadly I can't find a $100 worth of anything I wanted for the switch to get free shipping. Well maybe now hehe..it looks like might be a good ideal to order extra cups
Couple of cons things and I disliked I talked about it's pro's earlier
First is the battery door fall offs easy. It's held on by magnets and if turn unit well on a it's sitting sometimes when you pick it up the cover is left behind. I could see it getting lost if used out and about.
I also had to remove battery twice to get it reset to work for me. Worth a shot if having issues.
The layout of controls could be better. I rather have the fire button separate from temp control.
For me it's hard to tell what button to click due to lack of feeling in hand. plus I can't see the buttons well in use. Wish the used app for controls and firmware update. It's silly that we will need to send it back to have future firmware upgrades.
Last is the nail carb cover I find it useless and the nail more a distraction. Much rather have had a little 1 or 2 inch tall handle loop something just to pick its up with.
Been eyeing a crafty cooling piece as everyday replacement for the percolator set up. Look like it fit on top of unit with out the percolator. Just don't want to void the warranty. I'll rather save the percolator for special times since cleaning glassworks can be a pain. Granted it's not hard to clean, just with one good hand more afraid of breakage.
Don't get me wrong still really pleased with the switch. I bought this knowing what to expect and for more a specific use. Thanks to FC I was aware of the good and bad. Saying that, this is a hard one to recommend for herbal use. Oil's great but most members here are not going find value if just looking for taste and clouds. You can get tasty hits from switch. Just in the current setup takes more work.
Really the amount of FC sales for Dr. Dabbler Switch I would think are small. Where I feel there other problem is it's the out of the box controls. Unit take's some adjustment to get the best out of it. It's target market seems to be is in the oil users, smokers and new vaporizer users that that enjoy a bong type experiences. With the switch you get that without flame extra heat etc.
But...
It's annoying to use without spending time playing with settings. The draw speed is too long and heat setting are higher it seems. No matter what you do it blackens the load. It goes into constant long cool down mode. A new vaporizer user isn't going be aware of what the great taste of vapor can be. There going use unit as is. Watch the early reviews and notice how long some of the cool downs are on the video's. New user going be turned off can't really share party vape if waiting mins btw hits. If someone that enjoy vaporizing try's it like that also be turned off.
Most of issue are fixable in advance mode. Just don't see new user spending time to learn it. To get best use out of it you kinda need to be a vaporizer user. Kinda a catch 22.

You already said you sold yours after a couple uses so I'm pretty sure you dont have to worry about it and don't need to chime in any time someone has a critique or constantly coming in here to like all the negative comments. It's not that difficult at all to remember. Plus is up minus is down and the big middle button is go. And would you rather it be more expensive with an app or screen?They really should have made an app for this or a screen.
Instead you must remember all sorts of button combinations to use this.
I'll stick to playing with video games if I must learn cheat codes

What's clear is that you don't have anything of value to input to this thread and are just constantly trolling for no apparent reason. You didn't like the Switch, that's fine, you can move on with your life and stop trying to fill up this thread up with nonsense arguements that clearly show how little you actually used it. Well I'm really happy with my purchase.
Honestly...if you really cared and didn't want to see get others ripped off. How do you then justify selling yours?

Well sure you read my thoughts on this been open on feelings lot of likes dislikes. You already have the peak and flowerpot so I can see the unhappiness. I just started using oils. The herb use is mostly now just nitecap avb to pain relief sleep...My standard on oils in the past been the dart and pens. So I'm just blown away by the switch with oil.
For someone new to dabbing my standards are lower. I don't want mess with flames and other heat sources so I don't feel it was a bad investment. The herb part is just a added bonus to a good oil rig.
