Curious -- how many applied and how many were chosen? I didn't apply, just decided to live vicariously through the VCDC crew! :D

I was asked by Dynavap via email a month or two ago if I wanted to be part of the VCDC.

I told George I was most likely the least qualified (and @Squiby the most qualified) but would love to help where I can. Looking forward to being part of this endeavor. Thanks George & Dynavap Team!

I wonder if the frequency of use was a major determining factor. I bet it was!

Let it rain! Let it Snow! Let it blow.

Ain’t gonna go nowhere today, anyway— I love storms.

Storm, outside. Me, inside.

@beyond6strings I was going with the 12-10 as the extra wall thickness would make it a bit stronger.
Mine has a piece of K&S brass tube which is just under 8mm bore.
The glass has a couple of O ring grooves in it so the brass fits properly and it butts up against the back of the tip.
That tip you posted has the shape for CANNABIS?

This is why I didn't apply. I'm a lightweight user, and there are many more on the forum that are much more qualified than me to properly evaluate. Love my Vapcaps, but better off for me on the sidelines. This way, I also develop patience...

The Omni is not better. Just different. Main difference is that the SS tip of the M takes longer to heat up and cool down, which leads to a slightly different experience. More tokes per heating cycle or one larger toke. The Omni furthermore allows you to find your sweet spot concerning air flow and to permanentely keep that setting. You can do this by feathering or partially covering the carbhole on the M, but it will be difficult to always get the same result.

So, in the end, maybe save your money. I had an M first, but would probably not have bought it when I had an Omni as starter. The M is, of course, fantastic if you do not want to take your USD 150+ Omni with you on a trip with the risk of losing it.

Thank you for the answer. I understand. So the only advantage for the M is for situations I can lose/broke it. But at home between the two, omni is a better experience.

I guess I'll just wait 04/20 and pull the trigger if there's a discount :)

Plus there needs to be a few of us left that are just users and "not in the know". Otherwise this forum would not be as useful as a data source. We don't want all the "unaffiliated" to be noobs.

I know that there are quite some fans of the SS tip out there, but my personal opinion is exactly like your summary.

Just to be clear, you can get the Ti tip without going all the way to the Omni. The Uni, either metal or wood, (Vong or straight) uses the Ti tip as well, and will save you some $70 off the Omni price if you don't feel you need the (set and forget) adjustable airflow of the Omni.
So it is not just a choice between the M and the Omni. There is a whole class of VCs between them.

Just thought I’d share my thoughts on the new LE Ti tip... I love it. My new favorite tip. It stretches the herb out so much more. I know a lot of people like the efficiency of a few hits and the bowl is done but, personally, I like to stretch my herb out and get as many puffs as possible. And the LE Ti tip accomplishes this.

I used a pipes IH and left it in the heater for about a second after the click. Nice cloud and when I check the load, it’s still pretty green. I took about 5 good rips and the ABV still wasn’t as dark as it usually is after 3 in a normal tip. It actually reminded me of Tubo abv, no matter how many rips I take out of the Tubo, the ABV is still barely brown, very similar effect with this new tip.

If you like to really savor your herb and are not necessarily into efficiency, I recommend getting in on the next batch of 7 fin Ti tips.

@ataxian friend it may well be time to swap out your VapCap.

If you are interested, I will send you a brand new spanking new one, you send me some
Humboldt gold (in an airtight case)?

Deal?

Or you can get one from DV, but seriously, you may want to replace it, before the mojo dissipates...
