Not a bad deal at all. I had always thought they were more expensive. But if an entry level is all one needs, I might have to scoop one of these up. Thanks for the tip @Justpassedu
No problem buddy , now it is not the most powerful machine but for small parts it works great, I usually hit the button 2-3x as it runs about 3 minutes than stops. Just be sure to use hot water , that's the key i found , than put some iso in a ziplock and clean that way inside of it. I also have been using it for coils from a few wax pens i have and they are like brand new again. Oh and they are more expensive usually , there are some entry level cheap ones that most likely wont work to well , i found this to be a in between and figured at this price why not.

Why the hole tank? Fill it with water and put the screens or whatever in a plastic/silicon bag/tube with Iso and put it in the water. You don't know wheter the UC will stand the ISO w/o damages.

EDIT: First read all posts before writing an own one

On the adjusta-bowl...what is actually creating a seal between the glass joint and the bowl? If you did like he showed in the video with the tape method...the bottom of the bowl isn't touching the joint. Therefore, does the sealing actually take place on top of the joint simply by the bowl resting on top of the joint?

What if the top of the joint isn't level and smooth?

This thread just moves too fast! lol Before I forget again, can someone with the adjusta-bowl help me on the above?

So as an eventual owner of the NVFPSH (whew, I'm dropping the TWAX) I really hope two things. That whatever comprises the NVFPSH starter kit next spring, some of the "legacy" bowls can be had from NV. The main hope though is that again whatever the profile of components that the kick-ass Made in the USA emblem along with the NV logo remain a touchstone. Not sure what it is about it, I think it just looks cool machined into the metal, however it is done. It's just everything about the NVFP looks clean and sharp together, I think it's how the station set-up appeals to minimalists; it's the design aesthetic, it just fits.
A bit Harley-Davidson maybe? Rock-n-Roll? For sure! I don't get homesick for the states much, (home is where my family is) but I think seeing that everyday before melting my face off would make me feel like I'm doing my patriotic duty. Makes my heart warm... :D Or that could be my face falling onto my chest.

EDIT: not the NVFP as H-D, just the Made in USA bit

Just a heads up i took the plunge and ordered one of these cheap ultra sonic cleaners off ebay - https://www.ebay.com/itm/600-ML-Ult...0f75c:g:rr8AAOSw5bFZZEkV:sc:Other!11518!US!-1 , i take some warm-hot water and fill it than take my flowerpot parts/ screens in a ziplock of iso and submerse them. They are spotless in a few minutes , great investment for a few $. Plus my girl is happy as i clean her jewelry in it also. Using cold water will not work as well as i have tried it. This is not top of line by any means and better can be had but i figured for a few dollars why not try it and it does the job .

I would be carefull using iso alcohol with plastic. I am not sure if iso alcohol will react or dissolve plastic (in my opinion it is also important which plastic you use). but I also want to emphasize I am no chemist...

I know people have reported plastic degrading on torch lighters following an ISO wipe, causing the lighter to explode.

However, I do believe that very many experienced forum members have been cleaning glass parts in a ziplock bag of ISO for a very long time, without mention of negative effects to either the plastic bag or health wise from the cleaned glass parts (gongs, bowls, downstems etc).

So should not be a concern I don't think.

I looked again and now the two types of adjustabowl bowls are now shown on the website (@NewVape710 must be into Harley's as one is the Pan Head and one is the Shovel Head LOL).

Anyway, still not on sale quite yet so I will check back tomorrow.

Cheers all

Oh i am not using any plastic except for the actual ziplock bags and i have never had a problem as far as i can tell. I been using ziplocks for this method for ages except without the ultra sonic cleaner as i did not own one. Oh and forgot to mention but the iso i purchase actually comes in a plastic bottle .

@NewVape710, Edwyn take care of rights! I could imagine that HD has let protected "Panhead" and "Shovelhead"!
Perhaps better change the names before getting in a law suit?

I think @Hogni might have read your post like I did. I thought you were going to put ISO in the sonic cleaner instead of water.

I also used for example the platic tube from my e-nano to clean the glass stems and screens with iso alc., but I always feared it could dissolve the plastic and the dissolved plastic may stick on the glass stem or screens... I searched on internet and it is possible with some sort of plastic that they will dissolve (nano) parts... it is possible that iso is bottled in a plastic bootle which maybe is made of plastic which is not dissolved by iso on the otherhand iso is not sold for cleaning parts you vape with (or consume/diggest or...) so it does not matter really if sold in plastic (but I think it will be a special plastic which does not dissolve or react with iso)...

better safe then worry!

Aesthetically speaking, I'm a PanHead :)

Whats the weight difference between the PanHead and ShovelHead, if any?

EDIT: This looks great!

Thanks Edwyn - I placed an order for a 14mm kit and an 18 mm post. I went with the PanHead as I just like the aesthetics of it.

But like @emmdeemo , I am also curious about the weight difference between Shovel and Pan?

P.S. - oh, and Amex worked this time. Did not a few weeks or so ago when I ordered my FP SH, but it worked fine tonight. Cheers

Thank you @Baron23 for your continued business, Feel free to return anything (unused) that doesn't meet your fancy.
I'll post weights tomorrow. my guess is the shv is 2-3 g's lighter than the pan.

Edwyn, I solved the mystery of the FC 186 and the apparent notable height difference to the model now on your site- the 186 is 34 cm, yours is 32.5, so they are practically identical height.

Your model has a taller downpipe making it look like the whole rig is much shorter, also a right angled downstem base whereas the 186 is curved.

Sorry I questioned your dhgate recommendation and massive thank you for your ceaselss contributioms here and the amazing service to us all, individually and collectively!

@Alexis I'm not familiar with the 186 numbers. I purchased the right angle's first and liked them. Then purchased the curved style and seem to prefer that style and feel it's stronger being one piece. Both function the same.

I'd also like to tell you that I'm using the showerhead on this smaller 14mm rig and find it easier to use because of less dead air needing to be removed means much smaller breath is required. The reduced volume of air due to the smaller 14mm rig means the heat must be turned down when compared to the 18mm. Additionally I'm finding by adding the insert to the 18mm it makes the draw resistance the same as 14 but still requires the dead air be removed.
