Bought the extended maintenance and extended warranty when I bought the car.....

Them: Sorry sir but that air filter replacement was done before it was due so it's not covered.
Me: Really? Remove it then and we'll do it when it's due because according to the agreement it's covered 100% regardless of when it's done. They suggest when I come in for the maintenance where the filter is to replaced I ask for a credit.
Result: Instead....I come back with the documents and show them it's covered. Had to call everyday for a week till I got the credit.

Had the tires replaced and had to drive back for additional balancing, that took 3 hours, after the first time I got on a highway and the car shimmied like a politician caught red handed.

Took the car in for an oil change:
Them: The maintenance contract expired in April.
Me: It's not due to expire till 2017.
Them: Our records show it expired in April. If you can bring in the documents showing it's good til 2017 I'll credit you for the oil change.
Me: (After sending them pictures of the documents showing the agreement doesn't expire till 2017). Please let me know by close of business if I will be credited.

I get the credit and an apology and a reminder I'll get an email to review the service experience that directly affects their personal reviews and bonus. Wuh!?!?!?! Really!?!?!?

I didn't say FUCK YOU or even get testy but.........I can't wait till I do the review they requested.

Ok, I don't want to be the killjoy here but I was in this business for my entire life and I can see what they are doing to you.

First of all never buy maintenance programs, or extended warranties, on new vehicles and only extended warranties on pre-owned vehicles if they qualify for certified pre-owned status etc. or if you cannot pay the price for a catastrophic failure on the preowned vehicle you are buying. Sometimes its not a matter of if, but when, the car you select will break.

Certified pre-owned are the best options in many cases.

This is tuff stuff, but I have many more answers as to why you were treated the way you were.

After taking a six month career break I started putting some feelers out & found a job that I had extensive experience doing & make a very healthy salary. Within two hours of applying I had an interview scheduled & did some more detailed research on the company.

The interview was a complete trainwreck & I have never been in such an openly hostile meeting & I had plenty of post GFC meetings with big banks demanding the impossible be done. I suspect that I was fast tracked due to my experience & that did not fit with the Head of Sales plans as he was also incredibly blunt to the HR person & knowing the industry he had already selected a candidate.

I was not fussed about the role as it was clear there was very different expectations to the advertised role. That said I was really pissed at how this chump spoke to me & formulated a plan over a cup of coffee. Having seen first hand how a negative email to the CEO of a company can cause serious repercussions I drafted an email. The email was sent to the HR contact, Head of HR, Director of Sales & CEO with professional & constructive feedback was provided & I finished my email with this gem

The interview speaks volumes about what management style is applied in day to day scenarios & the employee culture at the company, at least within the AFH division. Having conducted a thorough research on your company through both industry contacts & publicly available information before submitting my application it certainly seemed at odds with your mission & vision statements.

I wish you all the best with finding a suitable candidate but I would suggest Adam has some coaching or mentoring when it comes to the interview process as he was obviously unprepared for the interview. That is a incredibly poor reflection on XYZ as a whole & the fact that HR sat by allowing such unprofessional behavior is testament to how far your organization has to go if you wish to compete with established premium brands in the marketplace from a professional execution standpoint.

When an email like this is sent to a large organization it ensures it cannot be swept under the carpet & also created innuendo & gossip. Surprisingly I received a lengthy reply from the head of HR thanking me for feedback & I can assure you that Adam has now had his cards well & truly marked. HR cannot tolerate things like company culture or their mission & vision not being upheld. Especially when the CEO is the one asking why he has been emailed .

First, art can be cold and lonely man. But it's kind of a choice too so if you're choosing cold and lonely choose it con gusto! I heard a piece of a story on the radio the other day about a guy who stuck to painting through 300 shows, all of them sale-less, before he broke through. Even his parents had started to tell him to hang it up. I've always been afraid of art because it's cold and lonely. Even though it can feel really good at times! Fuck me what the hell do I know? I'm no artist.

Another thing. What connects people on this forum is marijuana. Sure, and vaporizers. But let's not fool ourselves. It's about the weed. Burn up the colas up if that's what it takes to get the magic you want. My childhood buddies do and I love them just the same!

What? Did I say buddies? Never see them so they're buddies basically in name and in story except once a year or so. I got zero friends. I think my kids are the only ones who like me and they don't have much of a choice at this point. Some acquaintances yes mostly from work but not friends.
