Raf007 said:Bruce, how do you explain that people are able to sell them @240 if you as a manufacturer can't make profits at this price ?
do you think eventually that some sellers are buying them direclty at the factory (in China if I remember correctly) ? or they are buying copies ?? or something else
Just being curious here...
Raf, the only way I can explain how people are able to sell them for $240 is if they are buying them on the distributor level and having almost 0 markup. This is possible with places that have no overhead i.e. someone running their eBay business out of their garage.
Since each ION has a serial number we can track them back to who we sold them to. ( if we get hold of an ion serial number) I have not seen any without serial numbers so I don't think they are knockoffs or sold "out the back" I just think there are a couple shifty guys on eBay and amazon (oh and I don't care for eCrater at all). There are over 80 listings for the Zephyr Ion and just a few that are shady.
Let me point out that we do have some authorized resellers on both amazon and eBay and they are great.

Kinda sounds like a riding lawnmower idling i guess? Also-after reading a few pages on here, how do I know if mine is a newer version or if the store i got it from got it off ebay and are selling for more money? It came in a plain brown box with a foam top on the top with extra parts imbedded in the foam. The book and everything that is supposed to come with it was in it, but it wasnt it the same green box packaging as the local stores..Im just worried the store across the state(a state thats non legal and type of real vaping material if ya get my drift)had bought an older model and if I have the same warranty options as people that get it from the zephyr website or any other authorized dealer..thanks for any help-and good luck Bruce-your name was brought up on another site as being helpful with anything, your reputation precedes you and it was true from most ive read
The pump doesn't usually have any type of "rhythm" to it but I have heard a couple other people mention this. If you think it affects functionality, by all means fill out a RAF form on the website and we will take care of you. If it is working like it should, I wouldn't sweat it much
Newer ION if your ION came in a brown box and the serial number starts with 09 or higher you have one of the newer IONs. Either way, the warranty starts and lasts for 2 years from the time of purchase, so you are covered.
