ZAM Grinder

Hey Everyone,

I've decided not to launch the stainless steel FullMag pre-orders. I have a minimum order quantity I have to reach for both aluminum and stainless steel, and I'm worried I won't sell enough of the stainless steel during pre-orders to cover my manufacturing costs.

So I'm launching the aluminum first.

The aluminum FullMag pre-orders will still be available tomorrow with 20% OFF!
$52 for a 3-piece is hard to beat! $68 for the 4-piece!

I hope you understand my decision, and I apologize to those of you who were looking forward to the stainless steel. Please consider trying out the aluminum version!

Not April Fools - Just bad timing.

What is the projected shipping date of the Aluminum 4 piece?

Dang, I was thinking about the stainless Version, as the 20% would roughly cover shipment and import fees, but I understand your decission.
Any rough estimation/timeline for releasing the stainless Version?
Thanks.

When I do launch the stainless steel, the 20% discount will still be there!

I'm thinking late summer for the stainless steel.

I respect your decision but speaking as a happy BCG user, my main interest is in the stainless steel material. Suspect there are others like me.

In the interim, please consider placing the logo on the bottom instead of so prominently on the side. IMO the aesthetic improvement will outweigh any hypothetical sales generated by the “advertising” (which, as my main sticking point, was actually working against you there).

Good luck with the launch!

Thanks for the fast reply. There's no real hurry, as this is a luxury item.
But I want to second @cx714 comment about the logo. While it's a not "embarrassing" logo (searching for a better term), the overall appearance would be improved.

I'll be patiently waiting for the SS version down the road

I was considering the stainless steel but the aluminum still looks mighty nice. I'm wondering if any of the colors is more resistant to wear. Don't really understand why there are choices for black and silver but not the matte looking (anodized?) silver color.

The logo wouldn't prevent me from buying it as I don't mind it but perhaps if it were embossed into the grip ring that might look nice.

What do you all prefer about ss over aluminum; just that it's stronger?

Anodized aluminum will wear over time, and there are also some safety concerns over aluminum in general even if they might be not entirely proven, SS is more trusted as a safe neutral that is stronger yes and heavier

@ZAM please do consider releasing into the wild at least 1 ss fullmag for review in addition to the aluminum variants already out there; something to whet our appetites while we wait? :buzz:

I’ll post more about it soon but it’s a great grinder, same level as my two BCGs

Let us know how the grind holds up after it starts to get gunked. The SS Zam I have sucks after it starts getting gunked (weed gets trapped in the holes)

The leading threadless aluminum grinder I have that has a post has been working like new since I got it a year ago, without a clean yet
I will do so

Nice review video! Can't wait to get mine, I've been using the same cheap 4 piece "golden gate" grinder from amazon since 2015.

Although it's worked fine and I've never had to clean it besides brushing it out a couple times.

I've been wanting a 3 piece for some years now so super excited for this.

Pretty sure this is the full mag aluminum, Zam actually sent me this one it’s an earlier prototype unit.

Yea it really does look great, feels nice too especially the texture grips. The lack of a magnetic post is one of my favorite parts
The lack of magnetic post is huge seeing this. Probably the most annoying thing about my BCG and why I like my Stona over it sometimes.

This is looking like quite the quality grinder and at such a good price!

Hmm... the new fullmag is interesting, but I'll wait until more feedback comes in from FC users. I've got questions on the design, such as:

1. Does material spill over the top edge and "gum up" between the top and middle sections?
2. Will the middle unintentionally rotate when grinding, since you grip the gnarled top and bottom sections? It seems like they are kept locked only by magnetism, and will that be enough (especially with the thicker oring for easier opening)?

If it works well in practice, especially compared with other high end grinders, I may get in line for the SS version coming later.

Edit: watched the Tabletop Bong video and it looks like a lot of material falls out when he first starts to grind. Could be due to overpacking... dunno.
