ZAM Grinder

I emailed him (Zach) at the Gmail contact from his website on Monday morning and had a reply within 2 hours offering to send a replacement and asked for my mailing address as well as pictures of the broken ring, even though my initial email included a link to my post on this thread.

I replied with my address and requested pictures almost immediately. No reply nor has anything shown up in my USPS informed delivery or UPS tracking, so I highly doubt anything has been shipped yet.

I'm considering returning the second one I purchased as a Christmas gift from VGoodiEZ. I'm torn on returning mine; I really want this to be a long lasting grinder, but I'm not optimistic at this point. Good thing my factory second from iaso should be arriving tomorrow.....

EDIT: UPS My Choice just notified me of an incoming package from CA. Label was created Monday morning and package was dropped off this evening 🤞

Nice, I used the contact form on the site before, I just sent an email so hopefully it goes through.

I feel bad for the guy though, seems like such a great grinder but there seems to have been many problems from the beginning.

I've invented, manufactured and sold some products over the years. I can tell you, it's almost never a cake walk. I went through 3 local manufacturing companies before I got one that didn't to an unacceptable job to the point where I had to throw out all the stuff they made, and start over. It was a nightmare. That wasn't even dealing with people in another country or different language. The one product I tried getting made in another country took months, and in the end I had to scrap it because I gave them a set of requirements for the design that they just never met, and I wasn't going to put out something unless it was correct.

Many people knew the product was being worked on, and I used to get hundreds of emails a day yelling at me for not getting to market yet. I hadn't even taken anyone's money for orders. It was impossible to keep up with the emails, and slowed down the process even more.

I feel bad for anyone who bought one and is having issues, but I too feel bad for the designer. It really sounds like he got screwed by his manufacture. Having to replace a bunch is probably not going to get rectified by the manufacturer, and he will have to eat the cost of replacements. Hopefully he will do right by the customers (and it seems like he is). Not everybody is an amazon or some other example of a company so wealthy they can take the hit when something like this happens.

I have quite a few inventions that never made it to market because I couldn't find a suitable manufacturer.

Yeah I hear you, I've dabbled in some prototyping alone and it can be a money suck.

I heard back from him very quickly on the email, I hadn't seen it before so I used the contact page.

He's sending a replacement part or grinder but either way I'm grateful as well as feel for him.
