i think he means 10 days

Oh wow, whoops, I...uh...heh, sorry, I was using my volcano at the time and it got the best of me :p

What I intended to write was that it has been around 10 years (I think) since my friend got his volcano, which he gifted to me in 2010 after becoming laden with a baby. I have subjected it to heavy, daily use, especially over the past 2 years and while it has lost a few screws over the years (replaced by some random leftovers from my computer building days), is dented from all the travelling it has endured, and has a leak in the solid valve assembly thatI just can't seem to plug up (very minor), man oh manthe 'cano is kicking hard and strong (and kicking my ass too, hehe).

In my latest attempts to try new bags I tried the Reynolds oven bags and while they are far less noisy I feel they don't last very long before getting too sticky internally (which temporarily inhibits proper bag inflation as the vapor chooses the path of least resistance). Still, a nice option to have, just need to not be so lazy with my cleaning and bag replacement...I'm a bit OCD about getting the bag properly centered, which is silly :(

Anyway, just more love for the volcano :)

I'm pretty pissed off at storz and Bickel to be honest. Under a year since I bought my volcano and already have problems with the thermostat (not reaching the right temps). Send it to s&b since there's a 3 year warranty, but obviously the problem isn't there fault, and it costs $100 to repair, even though it probably takes them a couple of minutes. I think I should have spent the little bit extra for the herbalizer.

Thats BS shouldnt cost anything. Why did they say they are charging you? I know they said that people open volcano and mess up the thermostat, did they think that you opened it?

They say that there was "physical damage" done to the thermostat, when all i did was go home on vacation and leave the volcano in my apartment.

I always "Volc" at 377.
Today I was a 383 guy.
When a patient visits that has high tolerance or is hard to medicate, I fill the 42 inch bag at 420.

Much like Captain Comply... just because I can!

I start at 6 and slowly go up. I like diluted bags because I don't cough. For some reason the volcano is my go to before I walk. I think effects are different from my solo and cloud

elmomuzz

That just happened...
I like filling it all the way. :D I use a large reynolds turkey bag so they are bigger then stock. Depending on how I ramp up the temp I get between 3 and 5 bags. It's quite a feat to finish it all if you are alone. hehe

I think it takes about .25-.3 gs to fill the chamber (enough so you don't see the bottom screen), which is good for around 3-4 bags. I vape on 6 1/2-7, and on the 4th bag crank up the temp to 8 or 9. 1 bag is good for a buzz, 2 is usually what I vape. It's all about trial and error and finding what you like. Higher temp is thicker vapor but it is harsher too, I found 6 1/2 - 7 to be the ideal temp for me.

I fill my chamber level, and make sure it is not packed tightly... but I do fill it.
It depends on the strain, how many bags I get and the vapor density too.

Girl Scout Cookie that I have can fill the bag with creamy thick vapor at 377
I can wring 6 thick bags before it begins to show signs of thinner production.

This beautiful and fragrant strawberry cough, makes thin almost non existent vapor until I hit 393.
Then it gives me 3 bags, and stops dead.

The effect of the wispier and lower production strawberry cough is delightful in it's effect however!
(so is the GSC)

The bag amounts are my personal translation to Volcano standard bags.
My bag is 42 inches, and I equate it to 3 bags
(In other words the gsc fills me up twice in my big bag...
while the Strawberry only once
)
....Also, What do you use in an avg session.
That varies in my home.
Sometimes a single big bag will do it.
Sometimes even a shorty bag.
You did say "avg session", however.
I generally finish what I start!
If that means I fill the giant bag 3 times (due to longevity of the strain), I finish the load.
It is rare for me not to empty the chamber after a session, and sweep out the thing, as I dump my abv.
The Volcano represents to me, a large quantity of vapor served up with impunity.

I use about .10 gram. Just enough to cover the screen.

I run it generally 3 times. Depending on what I'm after I run different temps. Usually 377,394,408 ish. Or 375,410,426. To get everything out of it.

My tolerance is very high I can do infinite amount of bags. However one round of 3 bags is all I need. I always use the Cano as my first vape of the day. PS I use a VB mini hydrator with bags 2 and 3 so the temps don't bother me. I find the hydration really helps with my Volcano use.

Sorry to interrupt, and not going over all the previous posts, but has anyone been happy using their volcano and plenty components combined...

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
Reading the posts here and I'm surprised at the differences in volcano usage.

I fill the chamber completely and heat at 185 (english money) do 3 phat bags, then dump the remainder in a pot.

I can then regrind that stuff and get another REALLY fat bag of vape at 195.

I do this with all strains.

Also I wait 5 seconds after turning the fan on before sticking the bag to maximize vapor.

Lol

Now you just need to retro fit a volcano bag onto the end of the plenty whip.

I am down with the Reynolds turkey bags as well.
One bag is large enough to hold over any person for a minute or two of vapor.
When they fill, there is no crinkle or standing up like the stock bags. But I trust that, they are food grade. That way, before tossing them in the trash, they can be used to to cook some devastating food.

how much plant matter do you guys use at a time?

I do about a 0.7gr, at 7.5 (403') it gives me about 4 bags.

Whoa. Have you ever considered using a Solid Valve since you like reusing the components? It wouldn't build up inside like the (intended to be disposable) Easy Valve does.
Sure!
I use both.
Keeping things clean and maintenance free goes smoother for me with the easy valve.
Also I find the EZ valve can take more meds with less stickiness and need for cleanup (especially on the center "pole".
I use a bag for a year average before I consider it time to renew.

It seems like you pack your chamber pretty full, and I'm surprised you only get 4 bags, maybe try using less material. I use .3gs ish and get 3-4 bags (the 4th isn't at thick), but I don't roast mine completely to a dark brown. I vape on temp setting 7 usually

Wow, that's a lot more use than I ever got out of a bag. There's probably a lot of different ways to use the 'cano. I haven't had a use for mine in 6 months, but I can't bear to part with it. It's just one party away from being the perfect machine again.
