The first pass I put around .15 of fresh material at thermostat 7, and the second pass I put the AVB of two first passes so it's super thick at thermostat 9, I run this trough water. I don't mind a third pass anymore, I figured out it always taste bad and it's too aggressive for my respiratory system anyways, I use it to cook instead.
I used to strain the parts that were less finely ground from the AVB jar, grind them and vape again. It's only good when you don't have anything else.
After 6 years I'm still amazed by how strong the volcano is. I was getting almost too medicated the other day.. Feeling like getting out of my body for a couple seconds, that was an experience lol. I tend to finish the balloons very fast and I currently have some haze that is extremely mature.

so every one here is saying they get dark brown avb (when required) from their volcanos? The srain isnt the problem as it reaches my desired dark brown in the SOLO, Q, LB........just not the cano, havnt had enough med for further testing the last day or so but will try your suggestions when I do.

In a series of Karmic occurrences that involved me getting my Volcano to a friend in exchange for another unit... then the donation of the unit to a married couple living in a hospice home, I now own a brand new 3 day old Digital Volcano from VapeWorld.
The Volcano is a rock.
The unit I had that my friend got worked identically in every aspect.... to the one I replaced it with.
When I donated that unit, I thought I would be fine without a Volcano, but it turned out I missed it.
My heart felt grand seeing that couple being allowed in a 6 person home to use their Volcano in the privacy of their room (they call it their "apartment").
Enough tender moment...
I am here to say that I do not know quite what I expected, because I never opened a brand new Volcano box before... But it was exciting and it was classy.
There was a grinder in the box!
I did not realize that.
The kicker was that the unit sounds and looks exactly as the others did.
I guess these babies really age well.

I had not had a Volcano bag in 6 weeks due to the "karmic chain of events" leaving me Volcanoless.
I grabbed my bag (Gentle with my tools, I had used the same bag daily for 14 months!!)
I sucked hard to pull all air out.. and got a mouthfull of grit. I wiped my tongue off on a tissue to findAmber colored translucent glitter.
OH SHIT. My golden colored Volcano bag had crystalized from non use for 6 weeks while I had no Volcano.
I decided... WTF new unit.. I should use a new bag!
But first....
I carefully dismantled the housing of the easy valve mouthpiece as though I were going to change the bag as shown in some videos.. I crinkled it up good, and dumped the contents. Sadly for the camera I vaped a huge pile of the "jewels" so the pile's grandeur is diminshed in the image of the leftovers.
Also, please note that there is no light from behind so you can not get the lovely translucence of this pile of shards. When the shards were all gone, I shook the bag with Iso, and got reclaim from that as well.
(yes there is a dog hair in the pile. 3 dog night here.. we vapes dog hair!)
Nothing smells as good to me, or tastes as exotic as Volcano Bag reclaim. This is my third round salvaging from a Volcano bag.
Here is the Old bag... absolutely cleaned.. pressed flat and re-assembled.
I used a brand new bag, and gave this to a friend to use as a "dedicated concentrate bag" to use ONLY when they use the concentrate pad.
Oh yes.. I did say I had washed the bag out with 91% Iso and reclaimed some "joy juice".
Here it is.. I will get a razor blade out after I finish this post!

OK... I scraped it up, and got 4 gobs of reclaim.. amber and gorgeous.
I use wood to manipulate concentrates, I like the woods properties of holding and releasing the reclaim, so I scraped, and cleaned my razor blade 4 times durning the reclaim.
In the photo one of the toothpicks is conspicuously missing...
I consumed that toothpick's contents in two HUGE dabs using an oil device.
The Volcano is a rock.

One reason could be that the Volcano has been on the market for a LOT longer and as such, has earned it's reputation as a reliable, quality product over the long haul. The Herbalizer may do so as well, but it hasn't done it yet.
Now this is not a reason why you SHOULD buy a 'Cano over the Herbalizer, but it COULD be reason to buy a 'Cano over the Herbalizer. All depends on what you want, proven long term quality and reliability, or the latest that technology has to offer in vaporizers but has not put in the years on the market necessary to prove itself.

For me it is, but for some, that's a VERY big pitch.
But personally, I don't like sucking on plastic bags to get my vapor for a variety of reasons, be it the Volcano or any other bag vape. Many others love 'em though.

Maybe, but theres something to be said for unsurpassed reliability and consistent performance. Everyone has different priorities.
It's one of the most expensive. That's a selling point for some people. Just ask a Hummer driver what vape he has. I'd expect a Mercedes driver to love the German engineering. That's a selling point. It's all good. People buy lots of stuff I personally wouldn't buy (caveat: I have a Volcano, but it only comes out for parties. I prefer other vapes). But it's a good vape. If I knew then what I know now, I probably wouldn't have bought it. So uninformed people, looking for the best, may buy it (me). Like I said, it's all good. Mac vs PC. God, who cares? If your happy and you know it, take a hit (take a hit).

Its impressively designed with better build quality than most. But that may be moot given the bag only limitation, at a time when many consumers prefer whip or direct draw.

Could you clarify what you mean by "scheme"? There are lots of FC users that own the Volcano and enjoy it quite a bit. It has become an industry standard partially based on it's high quality and design.The FC community is too creative and sophisticated for such a scheme.

I'm not a big fan of bags, but that is my own personal preference. Some people prefer them. The Volcano has proven to be a reliable machine for a long time, and it has earned its reputation. There is a reason that they are found in most coffee shops in Amsterdam.
As you yourself pointed out you are new here, so I'll cut you some slack. But as Vito pointed out above, if you want to talk about the Herbalizer, we have a nice thread for that.

Wow..I'm new here but not new to the internet and online discussion. First, I asked a question regarding a Volcano in a Volcanoe thread, but I will heed to staff's advice on that issue. Secondly, the term "scheme" doesn't imply anything negative. I'm very aware of the words I use, and would never attack the integrity of a company without evidence. I'm not a vapor troll.....I'm Vapor X.

The word scheme actually does have negative connotations. Look it up.
Scheme: 1. a plan, design, or a program of action to be followed; project
2. underhand plot; intrigue
3. a visionary or impractical project
4. a body or system of related doctrines, theories, etc, or a scheme of philosophy
5. a system of correlated things, parts, etc., or the manner of its arrangement
Negative connatations regarding the term scheme is subjective therefore like I said I would never attack the integrity of a company without evidence.

I think the ease of use is a big draw for people. I find that people who have never vaped before tend not to like whip style pieces. They don't understand that the strength and duration of your inhale with a whip affects your vapor production. Most people new to vaping don't seem to want to have to think about how they inhale. With the Volcano the vapor is all ready created for them, thus allowing them to inhale from the bag however they'd like while getting desirable affects.
As others have stated durability is a big selling factor for the vaporizer. I hardly let any one use my VapeXhale Cloud because of its delicate nature. I don't even plug my Cloud in when a dog is around for fear of them pulling on the cord accidentally sending the unit flying. With the Volcano I could care less how many dogs and people are around. If they send it flying I'm not worried about it breaking and not working. I've had so many people knock my old Volcano offer without any issues. When I was moving a piece of furniture shifted in the moving truck landing on the case my Volcano was in. The Volcano got a nice size dent in the unit, but it still worked perfectly. The unit is now 7 years old and my friend says the unit is still working just like when it was brand new.

It's all about context and in the context that you used it in, it is definitely negative: "The FC community is too creative and sophisticated for such a scheme." or in other words, "The FC community is too creative and sophisticated to fall for that crap". And now you're tying to back peddle, which kinda make it worse.
I know you're new here, and I'd really like to see you stick around, but please understand that the demographics here are quite a bit older than at most other MJ sites, and as such, will not let certain things slide that either come directly from the manufacturers or members, that would, in other sites, be tolerated.
Expect to be challenged here. It's kinda what we're all about. But please don't put up a false defense when you do get challenged for that just makes matters worse.
