Sticksstones-Yeah using a glass bong would be a challenge, I couldn't tell you how to even start.

Plastic is what i use. Its more affordable and more forgiving. I have bad luck with glass. I always tend to break it somehow.

max- Yeah i could consume less buds if i had too. Its just easy, like i said to smoke alot. Why smoke less bud, if I don't have to? Weed is like cigarettes to me. I could live with out it, but life would feel shitty. I smoke/vape ALL THE TIME. I smoke when i get up,during work in my free time, thanks VaporGenie and continue throughout the day, just as if it was cigarettes.
I don't get oblitterated during daytime hours, its just not possible, but i like to keep a slight high through the day, and late at night is when i get REALLY STONED. I can still function in Reality high. I prefer it.

Its funny to me, being stoned actually to me, is being 'normal'.
I can't see a world without herb, it would be sad to say the least.

Well I just barely bought a VaporGenie this past month, my 1st ever experience with any Vaporizing. I've been a Vetern smoker now for 9 years.

Lately these past 2 weeks I've been vaping alot more. But I've been vaping everyday since I bought the VG. A week ago a got a decent deal on some freshly harvested Mexican "brick-style" weed, hardly any seeds but compressed. 2oz@ a bill. Before I had been paying $65 an oz, but it was much better and not compressed. actually 2 o's @ a bill around here is not a good deal, but it's been real dry and at the time wasn't a bad offer.

So I've had plenty of herb to just get plain crazy with. Mainly just been perfecting my various Genie techniques. Remember I'm still a novice at vaping. But I still smoke daily , 7-9 hits? I'm just guessing. I have no clue.
Probably half and half this past week. I rolled some joints, 2 or 3. The rest has been VG or the bong. I gave some to my..mom. . So outta 2 O's I still got roughly about an O left. Yeah Like i said before i go through an Oz a week. By this time next week I'll be close to out of the 2 o's.

100bucks for 2 weeks is not bad? or is it?

I made mine last night and loved it! I had an old pyrex bong laying around still, so I cleaned it and replaced all the metal parts. I spent 12 bucks and got four parts: new metal sleeve, new metal stem with threaded end, new metal ring to hold it with, new bowl with threads at each end...one for going into the stem and one for accepting the genie top. All I really needed was the new bowl, but all the old stuff was crudded up and I didn't want to clean it. I did thoroughly clean the pyrex tube, though. I'll try to get some pics up later when there is less traffic around here.

The hits were amazing! It felt like I was outside breathing cool air. I never knew if I was getting a hit or not, but when I exhaled I couldn't believe how little I felt the vapor I could see. I love being able to see into the genie bowl. The biggest problem is getting used to the different draw speed. It is so easy to draw too fast with my mouth wrapped around this huge bong. Once I get the draw speed down, I think it will be a lights out option.

I just wish it were glass somehow...

Well due to the transaction of selling my VG to a work buddy, he is now purchasing a PD. I guess he just needed to be shown how awesome vaporizing actually is before he graduated to a cleaner way of vaporizing (for me at least). He also has hit the PD many times, and he can't believe the qualities such an unassuming vaporizer can produce. The VG rocks, but it was better served as a vapor deciple than a vapeing tool for me.

Here's one of the stem all put together. The only thing not in this pic is the sleeve that is in the bong.



And finally, here's a pic of the pieces, again without the stem. I'm going to assume we all know the different parts of a simple bong (except maybe AofZ, who went straight to vaporizing!). The wire handle and stem are put together...2 parts there.



I hit it again last night and really love it. I still cannot feel the hits at all and got a very thick one last night...bigger and thicker than anything I ever got off the VG itself.

Nice DIY job stick. The Genie in a bong setup reminds me of the Vaporstar. Makes you wonder why VapoGenie didn't come out with an option like this.

I hear ya, max. The vapor industry is so new that I think some people miss opportunities to build flexibility into their vapes. That's what makes things like the Vaporstar, VRIPtech wand and the Extreme stand out a little...flexibility.

This setup hits so well that I can't imagine how nice a VRIP wand or herbo hits. I remember how big the difference between using a plastic bong and a glass one when I was smoking. I wonder if the difference is as stark when vaping. The jump from smoke in plastic to smoke in glass was huge. The jump from smoke in glass to vape in plastic is huge. I wonder how big the jump is from vape in plastic to vape in glass.

I may actually like the feel of the hits from this mod better than hitting the glass bong with an E bag attached to it. However, at least with the bag attached I can relax and take the hits at my leisure. When using this mod I am still working on technique, and I have to take huge hits...which I am trying to get away from based on our earlier discussion on efficiencies.

Perfect stickstones! This is just what I was thinking of in the DIY thread.

Gosh, I hope my headshop carries this stuff. Like I said, extremely podunk. *crosses fingers* Later this week I'll have to check it out..... also considering I only have GONG bongs, that might also make things difficult... >.< We shall see.

Maybe I should just get a cheapo glass bong just for vaporizing... never smoke out of it... nice and pure.

I cant imagine that costed more than a few bucks to make, eh, stickstones?

I bought four parts at $3 each. I really only needed one piece...the bowl, but the other stuff was all crudded up with old combustion resin.

Damn I'm wishing I had never given my VG away now I tried this mod when I first got my VG months ago. Bought a stainless steel bowl that screwed straight onto the VG top, stem kit and glass bong but never got it to work very well.I always seemed to get aot of air and little vapor and never ahd enough breath to fully get the vapor flowing. I was still learning to use the VG and I gave up on the vaporbong but it appears I was somewhat hasty

I've got some good paying gigs coming up so I'm tempted to order an exotic ... just to at least have the butane option again. I'm feeling left out

NO need for the vaporstar when you have a VG top that can convert into a bong. I've got all the parts I need 'cept the top, which should be here in 10days

Might have to find an after-market pipe that I can attach the top to as well. With a big party bowl

SA...I don't think those will work. I didn't see any threads in the inner lip at the top of the bowl.

Go back and look at my last pic and you'll see the threads on the brass colored piece. The threads are inside the top of the bowl and outside the bottom of the bowl.

yeah thats what my bowl has. 2 threads ... I was able to take my old VG top in and we found a bowl that screws on perfect. Its a stainless steel bowl to ... pity the stems are aluminum

Man, this is frustrating... I can find this piece only online. I'm about to email an online vendor a picture and see if they can just send the stuff to me... maybe that will work.
