Vapman

As a Vapman newbie I am happy about the addition of clicks and the pricing seems really fair too :)

So now the only mystery left is if there really is some kind of addon or adapter in the works for it to actually support the station, lights and all.

I'm not here for a long time, but for a good time
Hi All,

Just had a thought here.... Since the advent of the clicker with the new model that has a flat bottom, I'm wondering if this could be be heated electrically in many different ways now besides the Station. Thinking out loud here but a flat top stove/heating element and a metal cylinder to rest it on might even work?

Not that I want to torpedo sales of the Station but am I crazy here?
oooo, camouflet inductor maybe? any beta testers willing to try it out if you have an inductor?

been eating my popcorn watching the comments for the new model. having all iterations of vapmans, I think this model is different enough to get those folks who like some kind of indicator to give it a try while remaining similar enough in form and function to not dissuade loyalists. either way, everyone needs to make their own decision on wether this is right for them. also, embargos are a real thing. if anyone has lingering questions that can't be answered, we will all find out on 1st dec!

shout out to all the beta testers for your feedback!

Pure cherry - $€99
This is not bad at all. It's a really tempting price.
I'm not that invested in the click per se, but the stirring is interesting. That plus a bigger bowl make it better for flower with respect to the OG.
I use my vapman almost exclusively with hash, but it would be nice to have a pair of them, one for each use.
I might be getting one down the road.

Talking about a potential station adapter, i tought about a simple fix.
A simple metal part like this should make contact more evenly with the new pan.
There's a hole in the center because apparently there's an optical sensor? I'm not a station owner so i don't know.
However i don't think it's something that relevant.

I really don’t know why they kept that “stirring” bit in their video because it was mentioned to them in the tester group chat that it was pretty slim chances that the “click” would be stirring anything 😅 Maybe if there is like 2 crumbs in the pan they might hop around.

yeah i’m definitely not sold on the “stirring” but i will say that the herb still roasted pretty evenly … i never stirred but did try shaking it but honestly not sure if that improved the even roasted vs not shaking

i think this version has some nice additions and respecting the click will definitely help first time users … but for more seasoned vaporists it’s more of a guide … i usually went 2-3 seconds beyond the click and i also found myself not waiting for the cool down click … i use it like the og’s and hit it for a couple more seconds with the torch … hitting again and repeat as necessary

so the click is a nice … you can use it just like the og’s / v2.0’s and ignore the click

If you don’t load it too full, the click does shake things up a bit. But so would giving the unit a physical shake.

Either way, I’ve been impressed with the evenness of the roast with mostly empty to mostly full bowls. It improves on the OGs in that respect, probably bc the bigger bowl has more surface area to conduct the heat.

A few notes for anyone who is new to Vapman or might be moving from the original to this new version: use the same heating method as the original.

Short intervals on and off will help evenly heat the wider shaped chamber and also avoid any extraneous charring or burning of the main body's inner walls. The click is now there to be an assured indicator for you to stop heating (though to be honest I sometimes go a few seconds past it without any combustion yet).

I'm not in the up and up lately? Where do I find the video/info of the new one?

Prices have been announced!

Classic amaranth - $€199
Literally the only thing inhale could have done to make me want a third vapman when I don’t even have my first (and second) in hand yet is make a damn purpleheart one.

Three it is. Clicker is cool? Big bowl is cool? It’s obviously not what has drawn me to the vapman but who doesn’t enjoy variety? Plus, purpleheart!

Side note. Unfortunately usps is touring my package up and down the East coast before taking it west to me in socal. Sessions and pictures are temporarily delayed :\

I'm curious to hear what the alternatives were that lost to Vapman Click... It sounds very gimmicky to me.

I am the beetle in a box that only you can see
Whenever I read The Click it reminds me of Tennessee Williams and his relation to alcohol.

"When I’m drinking, I usually hear that click that says, ‘Now it’s all right. Now you can have a little more fun. Now you can enjoy yourself.’ But sometimes that click never comes, and that’s a terrible evening for me."

Or Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

"I get to the place where I can stop thinking. I reach a click. That click in my head that makes me peaceful. I got to drink till I get it. It’s just a mechanical thing, something that happens in my head. The click I get in my head when I’ve had enough of this stuff to make me peaceful."
