Yes, in general I'm very happy with it.
It is an expensive luxury that I'm fine with (and the 2nds seem flawless so that is a grateful saving).
I find it gives predictable results and is easy to use.
And my wife appreciates not being woken by the woosh of a jet lighter! So happy wife, happy life
I probably use the station about 80% of the time.
I really like it for hash. Turn to full power and I get lovely hits.

After trying to center the rod many times to get better results...I give up on that task.
I will try to modify the area where you put the vapman to make better contact, as I don't see how some people have good results with hash. I keep needing 2 preheats to get any vapor and the hash gets being consumed without being used, the vapman and the station ends up very hot.
Inhale has already told me that it is calibrated for weed and not to combust, which is a mistake because the vapman really shines with traditional hash. It doesn't reach the effects or clouds that you get with the lighter.
Also, i tried it using just the pan and the mouthpiece, like a log, to avoid the sensors detect the vapman...and I get great results...so it can reach the needed temp but you are not allowed to use it as user.

First heat cycle I get a nice taste, no visible vapour. But after that it becomes more intense with a really hashy hit and lots of visible vapour. I sometimes turn it down at this point to draw the session out.
This works for both Moroccan style and squidgy black style.

It should be... This is my second station. In theory with a higher calibration. The same issue on both stations with 2 different vapmans (vapman, and vapman 2).

The same for me.
It has never happened to me that it was not hot enough at level 6 (1st & 2nd generation station), hash has always produced a visible, tasty cloud of steam after the second heat cycle.
(This dose is for 2 hemp enthusiasts
)
However, it is true that the hash is not burnt. It is a good idea to put the hash flakes on the sieve as finely planed as possible, the waxes of the trichomes remain, even at the end with 4 heat cycles.

After 2 stations (and i start thinking they didn’t recalibrated the second one…), a lot of attempts to set the rod in the right position and I have being told by the makers it is like this… what i really find weird is someone says the lvl6 is hot enough for hash when, in theory, it is 190C, while i get really poor results heating it 2 times at lvl9, which is, in theory, 230C.
If it is ~230C the first hit should not be just flavor.

My impression is that the heat indicator indicates the heat of the bowl, but not necessarily the heat inside your load. It takes a bit of time and a few heat cycles for the heat to fully spread in the load. I think that is why the first hit is very light in vapor, that you choose lvl 3 or lvl 9. But after a few heat cycles, depending on your heat level, temperature will rise more or less, and you will have more or less dense clouds.
I don’t really know if that makes sense, but what I find strange is that you said your materiel was burnt after a few cycles, and that without having any clouds. That part is weird. I am really sorry for you, I hope there will be something to do about that

Hey guys! Recently got a vapman after smoking joints for way too long, and basically getting addicted to cigarettes in the process..
I love it so far! I just have a few questions about maintenance and general use when vaping hash. I have googled a million times, seen all the vapman hash videos on youtube to try to get some idea how to do it properly, but i'm just not sure. After about a week use, the edges of the bowl is completely dark, and the mesh screen gets gunked up after every single use. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but what?
First of all I bought the vapman torch, and I've adjusted it so the "inner" blue flame is the diameter of the filter.
When I heat it up initially, I do the 3 seconds on, 3 seconds off, 3 times routine, and can see vapor coming out of the mouthpiece. I inhale slowly, and can taste the hash a bit. After that I do 3 seconds on/off twice, and inhale, and do this maybe 2-3 times. Last "hit" I'll try a 2 sec on/off 3 times to "get everything" I haven't previously vaped. At this point it'll taste different, and ill feel the need to cough. Does that mean it's done? Is it too warm and I accidentally combusted? I'm extremely bad at gauging how much is left and I don't want to waste any of the hash, so maybe I'm heating the hash too often/too much/too many times?
To empty the bowl i always have to use the metal pins on the filter to dig out the remains, and it always sticks a lot. In the end im just mushing some of the used hash into the screen, gunking it up, then resort to using the brush to get the rest, which has gunked the brush up as well. I empty it immediately after, so it's still warm.
How would you recommend trying to clean this bowl? Alcohol/acetone on a q-tip and try to gently clean it that way or something? Is it necessary, or just for the looks?

From my point of view you are doing fine. With sticky hash, the mesh can get pretty dirty, it’s always best to empty everything while still hot. But even then it does leave a bit of material on the mesh. I have 2 mesh I alternate with, one I use while the other one soaks in Iso. You could try putting a bit less hash on the screen, it would make it less gooey, I think.
And as far as when it’s done, hash sometimes feels endless, but usually when the taste changes too much and becomes more ‘earthy’, I tend to throw my bowl away

I'm a regular smoker for about 10 years now, mostly rolling joints with cigarettes. I should've made the switch to vapman much sooner...
This week with the vapman is maybe the first week in those 10 years where I'm tobacco/nicotine free...
And such a beautiful and cool device! Damn!

Stopping combustion is such a good thing, great for you you will realize there are many benefits to it ! But it sometimes takes time and / or personnal experience to make the switch. But all for the best, enjoy your vapman, it is truly an amazing vape

I get the same results. I even crank to 9 and don't get anything with hash. Kinda disappointing.

A great device to make the switch with! It took me many years to find my way to the Vapman. You've made a great choice. I smoked tobacco joints for over 20 years before switching, it's the best decision you could make!

I'd suggest that you simply torch the screen after every session. Just place it on a screwdriver or similar so you don't burn yourself and then heat it until it glows. If you do that it'll be easy to just brush off the remains (which will mostly be just ash).
(The ISO soak that @Electrofever mentioned can absolutely be implemented as an alternative/complementary cleaning method.)
As for the bowl, make sure to do regular brush-offs to keep it nice and shiny.
And also try to take it down a notch for that last hit. You'll get everything, don't worry, but it should feel more like when you're sucking up the last bit of a beverage through a straw. You'll know that the bowl is spent when you're simply not getting much vapor out of it anymore, you don't need to push it to the point of combustion.
So try to stretch it out over multiple smaller sips and adjust from there. Once you have your technique and timing down you'll know how far you can go in terms of being able to safely take bigger hits without the risk of combusting.
Great choice going with a Vapman BTW! You'll dial everything in if you stick with it.

Yeah it is strange for me too. It is not burnt, but cooked. I think it is because it doesn’t get enough heat to give good results, but heat up after heat up everything gets very hot (the wood body too) so the material get cooked.I don’t really know if that makes sense, but what I find strange is that you said your materiel was burnt after a few cycles, and that without having any clouds. So it is hot enough to be cooked in those heat ups but not to give good results. This happened to me in some underpowered conduction vapes.

i ask this because i went from a mouthpiece with adjustable airflow to non-adjustable mouthpieces...
then i got the station...
and i get quite little vapor if i don't plug some holes in the central part... it's much better if i plug one or two holes...
i realized this last week...
it's "late" and it's the weekend... so, not sure i'm very understandable!!!
i hate it when a technician asks me if i've done the basic settings... because i always check... but i just wanted to be sure that it was a parameter that is taken into account!!!
