@Ripstar , EdsTnt had some lovely stems. Cocobolo and blackwood.
Any chance I could get one of these from an eu reseller?
:(

not that i see, but you could maybe ask at la centrale vapeur - i think they are the only reseller of ed's tnt in europe (at least a couple years ago they were) and they are reselling a bunch of his stems as well. not seeing the vapman though

I thought the same but as you said other midsections are loose too. Maybe i should try to replace the clips to see If thats the issue.
Worth a try as long as the wood's solid. Mine isn't very bad, but since it does seem to have changed I assumed I'd need to do it too someday.

I couldn't find any but Ed does deliver to Europe. It just takes a long long time.
Thank you for the research! Time is not really a problem...I just would like to avoid the customs process (and money) :( I like the Cocobolo a lot though...really beautiful...

Anyway…the og just arrived…I love the walnut so much.

I just placed an order for a Kotibe Vapman. Can't wait to try it out. This little guy should round out my collection. I'm not going to bother to list all of the vape's that I have owned in the past or still do own. That would be too long of a list to read through, lol. But the Vapman should serve me well when we lose power during storms.

lucky! Enjoy...I was just looking at how beautiful this is. They know their stuff. Such craftsmanship...I cannot wait for the battery tower station. Enjoy your Kotibe.

I bought it 2011 online as my first vape, but maybe it was from an older stock and built earlier. It was love at the seconds sight by the way, it took me 2-3 years to give it a seconds chance.
Maybe René from @vapman can chime in and tell us about the time he changed the branding

To answer your question I had to look in the old folders. This is what I found out according to the invoices from the manufacturer of the branding irons.

The "element" branding iron was purchased in 2005.

The "vapman" branding iron was purchased in August 2011.

The "vapman swiss made" branding iron was purchased in 2013.

Because the dates of purchase of the branding irons don't correspond with the dates of branding new series of vapman, it is well possible that after 2011 or 2013 there were still vapman with the previous branding for sale.

Around 2017 I stopped branding vapman all together because more and more customers did find that the branding is spoiling the wood grain.
I think the customers are right, vapman doesn't need branding. After this I branded vapman on explicit requests only.

Unfortunately it ist not in use anymore, because the middelsection is somehow loose, but the bowl seems tight and doesn't rattle. So it must be the two clips which hold the middelsection, but i cant see a big difference to my functioning devices and unscrewing and tightening it with a screwdriver doesn't fix the issue. All in all that leads to the fact, that vapor leaks out of the bowl and to much air is mixing while drawing. I was planning to send it to vapman but found it to cumbersome to send it to switzerland and deal with customs and that sticky and resinous wood. So i bought my second one, the yew wood, but with the same story after some years. I think i was not cautious enough at the beginning and applied to much pressure e.g. mounting the mouthpiece on the middelsection or using it with a waterpipe without an adapter :shrug:Maybe someone has an idea in how to fix that by myself?

In order to reduce the wear and tear of the middle section the heat protection ring was introduced in 2014. Now, you could install such ring on your worn out middle section and adjust the tension of the springs by yourself or simply order a new middle section from me. The good thing is, that the middle section is below 20mm diameter an can be shipped inexpensively as a letter. I hope I could help you with this, let me know and we'll find a way. :)

Thank you and a friendly hello to everyone,

René

It is a very sentimental piece for me...it has so much artistic history to it. It is like the God of vapes in all honesty. It holds a place of respect for me. For each one of those tiny units to be created by those hands...it is certainly an honor to own the two that I have. Hats off to the creator of this vape and to the young men that are taking it to the next era...it is a beautiful thing. I am so proud to own mine.

PS Please re-introduce the power tower soon. My hands are having a hard time with the lighter. It would be so much more easy for patients. Thank you. I know you know that. 😊😊

is this thing on?
On their Instagram, Michael and David are to be seen with René working on the Station casing - this is the best news so far regarding the reintroduction of the station. :) The station is one of the coolest things in the vaporizer world, to me at least. From a technical aspect, you can't compare it to an induction heater. The station adjusts the heating period every time you insert the vapman based on it's Wok temperature and hits it bulls eye every time. It's fun!

Vapman have got a Black Friday sale on. There's a special bundle for the Kotibe classic, and Kotibe pure - definitely a good deal if you're looking at buying one.

Plus 20% off site wide (excluding the bundles) with the code: BLACKFRIDAYSALE which should be applied automatically.

I've just treated myself to a 2nd Swiss made Walnut classic 👍

G'wan, you know you want another one... 😉

Out of the four I have, I only like the flavour from the Walnut Vapman.

There is a definite difference in flavour between the woods for me. Which is why I've passed on the Kotibe. No point in having another one I won't use. ☹️
Have you tried the Kotibe? That was a great comment you made above...because it is true! I taste a difference with mine too.
