I've gotta echo seeks sentiments...

I was following the last cloud thread, evidently not closely enough, since I pre-ordered after the $350 time had ended.
I remember holding off on the pre-order, not being entirely sure if I would want one on release date, then I did some more reading, saw that the pre-orders weren't a commitment to purchase, and there was a $100 discount. By the time I read that, the $350 window had ended, but I was happy pre-ordering at the $450 price point.

Then there was the whole 110v only thing, so when I finally got my invite... I couldn't use it without getting a cloud without warranty... Not exactly a desirable position... So I kept waiting, and then the price jumps started happening...

I get that most of them have been in conjunction with releases of higher quality glass, but I pre-ordered a $450 unit, not a $600 unit.
(I can't seem to get the VXC store working on my ipad, so I'm using seeks $600 figure)

:shrug:
Lets just say my excitement for the cloud is waning, when I was hoping it would be waxing (lunar references FTW :lol:)

The new RezBlock concentrate is fantastic. Today, just a hot water flush brought my HTs back to sparkling, no residue, so I was able to skip the PBW step. Keeps the water fresh all day as well :)

The vapor should come out of the slits. And the water should be right above the slits. At least that's what I was told. I have a tree though

Yeppers, the vapor comes outta cuts, but looks like there is a toob from base up into the dome, terminates above the cuts. Vaper comes outta dere, fills dome, stacks outa cuts. I think.

That just happened...
I notice cloud serial numbers are just now approaching 4,000.

I figured someone had misspoken when vapexhale said they sold 4,000 clouds the day they won the cannibus cup several months ago. Still that's a lot of clouds.

I always never believed that 4000 number...400 sure. Regardless, for what it's worth, My Cloud's have always been under serial # 1000, and that includes the one I just received not even 2 months ago. I think the serials may be all over the map.

They do jump around but they've never hit 4,000. And I really doubt they reuse serials. But that 4,000 number was tossed around so much and no one ever disagreed but me.

If you have a cloud numbered above 4,000 please speak up. If you just received a cloud what is your serial number?

Tried some half to 2/3 full ELBs using the tap-pack method (before I was tamping down a bit with a tool) and I was much more pleased with the results. Easier draw and was able to exhaust some flowers on the 1-2 oclock setting. I never tasted the screen.

Really doubt it since I noticed the screen taste before I had ever stirred anything. Stirring came later as a way to exhaust over packed ELBs. Plus the screw I use has been doing the same job (stirring other bowls) for a long time so its pressed sticky and its stainless steel anyways. I only noticed it at absolute MAX temp and last night I was around the 2-3 range and never tasted it.

I tried it on max temp with a clean empty elb and couldn't taste anything. Another observation of my newest Cloud (non tick) is that if I sniff the joint when everything is clean, and there is absolutely zero odour. On my 3 previous clouds, when in clean condition I could always still detect a faint odour of the insulation they used, and I really liked the odour, not offensive at all. In fact I wish this cloud had it lol It was a sweet smell and all 3 of the ticking clouds had it. I also noticed on one of them that from the white insulation that I could see on the top, it had burnt. Those Clouds all ran hot, to the point of tough to handle. Latest non tick cloud can be on all day, and it never gets as hot as those 3 did.

The purity of the Cloud is part of what makes it so awesome.

yea i only do one elb with it, but it has an adapter so not touching the clouds male joint. i look for the moisture to. it works wonders tho.

with that much leverage,weight, and top heaviness, it wouldn't take much for a nice clean break on the male joint to snap off.... im sure thats not your daily setup and was prob just for fun, just sayin saftey first :tup: cause i know id fuckn cry if my joint snapped off......and then your VT and HT fall over and shatter and you're left cleaning up half frozen glycerin outa your carpet :tup:

haha btw that looks nuts with the SSFG inline on top haha!

Serial numbers are not an indication of how many clouds were sold, nor are they linear. It is very possible for them to repeat but we validate with several unique identifiers, date production logs, customer name, order ID.

I finally got my wife to try the herb for the first time because of the Cloud, so I set it to like 8am and loaded a tiny elb, she hit it without clearing it and I saw her immediately exhale a tiny little cloud. I found it kinda cute, and was hoping she would feel something, but she didn't.

Well, unless USPS fails at life tomorrow I should have my Cloud. I also picked up a few healthstone discs (and a fritted sidecar, gotta love that glass addiction) so I will be doing shatter R&D immediately. I hope it fits.

Where did you find a fritted sidecar? Is it the same fritted disc perc like the DG's?
