Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Just because Evolver wants in on the bent neck sales? Not everyone has the same taste for HT style. The straight tubes will be around as long as there's demand for 'em.
I sure hope so. When it comes time for me to get my Cloud I know I'll want a straight HT.

I would really like to hear/see more on BHO use with the cloud...but oil and wax and bho are all too short of a search term and I can't read 373 pages to answer one question...I'll melt myself. So what is the skinny oil heads? Worth it or just stick to the nail?

I've seen a few people saying they 'painted' the bottom of the ELB and took hits like that. Not sure if it was also full of bud.

Has anyone tried putting a healthstone in the ELB? Does it fit? I was thinking an oreo of healthstones might work, since we are inverting the thing sometimes.

Best to save oil/wax usage for when you're inverting the cloud on a water pipe. If you're using it normally with a hydratube, there's a chance of melting down the bamboo tube.

Already opened a dialogue with healthstone about it...he had never even heard of vapexhale but would love to be the solution to it vaping oil.

Does anyone have the inner diameter of the EZ Load Bowl handy.

Finally got to try out the Devastator....I like a little chug with my water pieces and this provides that in the smoothest delivery. Pulls nice and smooth, chambers are easily cleared. it's honestly slightly awkward and like any new piece it has its learning curve, but you get to use your HydraTubes.....so it's badass!
Possible Xmas vid to come???

Back in October, my original cloud unit from August passed away due to a runaway temperature and causing combustion. I was without a Cloud for approximately 3 weeks (which is a long time [Oct. 3rd - Oct. 25th]), because the first replacement that was sent was dead on arrival. I patiently waited (with status checks in contact with VapeXhale. They were awesome, and very responsive to me), and even when this new unit came, it had a quirk where I had to turn it off and on twice before it would start heating up. I was told this was acceptable. And so I lived with it.

However, now it has a runaway temperature again. Starting last night, the light never goes green, the unit is extremely hot and this morning I got a big thick cloud of smoke out of using it at 12:00 O'Clock.

I am very disappointed and hope I will not be without a Cloud for another month as this is the Christmas season, etc. I don't know what else to say other than I am extremely disappointed and hope we can get this resolved in a more timely matter than last time.

So far I have yet to have a Cloud last me 2 months :-(.

I've submitted a support ticket as well. I am super bummed, this is awful. After being away for 11 days, coming home to the best, and then having it break, this is Microsoft Xbox 360 failure rates for me. I had the 360 die the day before Gears of War 2, the day I bought Dead or Alive 4, and one other bad time.

It would be interesting to understand the failure rate between the old tickers vs the new models. It appears that most of the newly reported failures are of the newer units. My old ticker unit has been running non stop for the last 5+ months without missing a beat. I'm actually nervous to turn it off and let it cool down. I wonder if the constant heat cycling from turning it off and on has anything to do with it. Like with logs it's just better to leave them running. Just some random thoughts...

I had the old unit first. And this is a new unit now.

IMO packing it down works against the turbulence designed into the ELB, reducing the air circulation and extraction. Especially with a larger load. (A few little taps on the table is OK though.) Some have posted that they even give the ELB a shake or a stir mid-session.

I'm ordering my cloud Friday - I have been stoked to do so but honestly this thread is making me nervous. So many problems between unit failures and issues with returns and shipping. I was going to get a unit when they first came out but when my brother passed away it absorbed all of my funds traveling for the funeral. It almost seems to me like the older "clicking" units were better. Can someone offer some comfort?

I also had a recent combustion at 11 o'clock on the dial, and starting to think I must have accidentally over packed the ELB. I can not reproduce the experience. I have the ticker and LOVE it, so until it really dies, I will continue to work with what I can, lower temps, etc. to keep it around. I'm still running mine between 11 and 12, and not having any issues again. I do see my light act up too, it likes to go red a lot. As long as it keeps making me good vapor, I will live with the small quirks my unit seems to have.

My ELB was completely clean (I have 12+ LOL), and it was only half packed, and the light never goes green. Mine is definitely busted. Also, I can't take the chance of something combusting when it's not suppose to combust at all, especially for $500+.

My real worry is that I am 4 months in, I've been without it for 1 month, and now however long this is going to take, and the warranty doesn't start over. A total of 3 busted units (my original, ticking, flared bottom unit, a new unit that didn't heat up, and now this one), I feel like I've wasted money cause I can't get a reliable unit, and once the one year passes, and my unit breaks again, which I have a bad feeling about (wouldn't you if you had 3 bad ones), I'm shit out of luck.

I love the Cloud, I honestly do. And VapeXhale has been great to me in my dealings. I am just extremely frustrated as you can imagine.

And I'm off of work next week, this really sucks.

Waiting on my response for my support ticket

What warranty does? You can ask for special warranty consideration since you've had a "total of 3 busted units". That's certainly some bad luck.

No, you are absolutely right. Like I said, I'm just worried. I haven't gone 2 months yet with a working unit. I'm 1/3 rd threw my warranty already.

airflow is key in this vaporizer. clean bowl loose pack i like dry herb and 9 o'clock personally but experiment start low on the dial and work up.

Are you using a surge protector?

Yes, since day 1. I've read threw the whole vaporpedia wiki and this thread before I even purchased it. LOL. I absolutely love the Cloud... There is nothing like it. But this experience has definitely soured me.

At the bottom of the Vaporpedia: "VapeXhale recommends that you always use a surge protector so that your Cloud is getting the cleanest power source possible."

And I live in a heated apartment building, it's about 70 - 80 degrees in my room at all time. So it's not in the freezing cold, or super heat.

And I bought a really good surge protector too :-).

Edit: Also, previously, I got an email stating my support ticket was sent. It was automated. This time, I got nothing. Hope it was sent.
